hi guys ! i have somthing to say ( it s gonna be long, then bad english but i hope you can forgive me )

let me tell you my story .

i m part of the lonely guys... not because i feel lonely , just different vibes ... that's just me talking to myself !

for the purpose , i m not speaking good english  so please be good about it ^^

back to 2011 :

start my way to run with sm64 ! nothing really good but i was really proud of my time but not share with other palyers

then 2013 :

start playing oot ... same stuff play for fun no share with other guys !

Then somthing happen

watch Green stream and wanna try to my own in GE/PD

for some reason i choose GE ( never play it before i was a PD guy when i was kid )

at this time i try my chance in the elite .

then was my story start .

people was really great at my first pb! Dam 53 , took me 3 month .

i feel like i find a good commu to share with .

i play more and ...

first pause in my story!

gonna post more soon cause i really want to share with you some stuff about my feeling.

I feel where you're coming from man. This is my first post here, I lurk and keep an eye on the scene's progress, and do play goldeneye but not very consistently. I'm gonna get that 17 on archives one of these days  :pimp: :pimp:

I've never found a good time to convince myself to post, but I'm just gonna say that the dedication and mastery of their games is what keeps me coming back and keeping tabs on everything going on.  Love you guys and what you do, I'm a grinder native to a different genre (fighting games) but I respect the effort that goes into just getting a time worth points on most of these stages, as i still don't have one  :nesquik: The goldeneye grind has taken my mind off some frustrating times over the years and this game really is special IMO, i'm instantly down with someone who's super down with goldeneye.

FAT shoutouts to HN's untied sweep on train and to everyone out there grinding in any speedrun game. Perfect Dark has been poppin off and those guys are crazy.

I'm glad you posted here, because I've been meaning to post something like this here for a while now. Everyone out there busting your ass for the crazy times, or even just the "mediocre" PB that you still sweat hard trying to get, keep it up i'm cheering for everyone.

^ Same here dude been here since like 2002 or so back when Wouter was King. Check out my times page sounds like we're on the same level.

I don't play often but it's fun once in a while. Good community like keeping up with the new WR's.

( thanks all of you for the reply , really mean a lot for me )

ok so the next step was learning a new level , cause i only play dam A and have no idea about other level ! so i pick up s1 a ! i get 103 quicker than i get my 53 and i was really proud of it !

then i go for other level and i was thinking " ok it take me time but i can do it " !

and it s when i slowly fall in GE .

but i have other stuff to take care . My wife ,  my 2 kids and my job.

I started to feel bad about me playing all the week end then do nothing with them ...

at this time , i was checking the ranking everyday , be mad when i loose point and some shit like that .

I have that check list " 1000pts for noobs " i can't remember who did this but was my objectiv.

I was looking a lot of stream , talk with lot of good guy who start the game like me and see them became better and better ... better than me.

 i m not a competitive person and for the first time i feel bad about my ranking . i was thinking "what happen to me ?"

But people are so kind with me , why i can't feel better about my time ?

then i realize ! i never be the first at somthing in my all life . am i playing to be THE FIRST ? that's not me ...

i loose a lot of my motivation this time . but i keep going .

i play for fun then another thing happen , i play this game for 1 year now and suddently i get b2 a 24 ! i love this level so much! motivation is back , but i m still bad about somthing , just don't really know what. i dupe it a lot of time and in my head it was clear , let's go for the 23 !!!

But it s always the same story in my mind ....
