Found this funny ass scam today;
So Facebook & Instagram are "down", which is dominating online discussion today. Some trollposter launched a "YouTube Live" video of Mark Zuckerberg random speeches, labelling it as an "apology for the downtime + entering crypto space". It has one of those classic crypto "giveaway" scams, which asks you to send them crypto, and then you will receive 3x the amount back!
(It's literally one of the most classic scams out there nowadays. It is technically a "giveaway" since *you*, the user, are literally just "giving away" your crypto to a scammer, lmao. You do not ever get it back, and never in history has one of these "giveaways" been legitimate).

Truly funny and silly in this strange & unusual world. Like, who can possibly fall for such a thing? The stream had 20k viewers last I checked, so hopefully it's just people watching and having a laugh, instead of giving away their hard earned savings!

Anyhow, I know folks like us who are online often, come across scams on the regular. Perhaps this could be a thread to share such scams when they come up!!!

Yesterday I got a Youtube Ad that promised me *guaranteed* 1000 Euro/day for the rest of my life by just signing up on some platform. It was a well-produced Ad with a sophisticated british narrator. Scammers are ruthless these days.

I dont have any specific scams to share but I'd like to shine a light on scambaiting videos because I think they can be really interesting for so many reasons from being just straight up informative to giving a sort of insight into what type of people scammers are and why they resort to such methods.
There's lots of youtube channels out there making scambaiting content such as Lewis's Tech, Jim Browning and Kitboga but my favorite videos are probably that of Atomic Shrimp, his channel isnt dedicated solely to scambaiting but the videos he does do for it are very entertaining.
This might be the most appropriate one to share:
