Title: Synonyms for "Strange" & "Unusual"

Strange & unusual are quickly become "hot words" within the elite community, and perhaps the world at large.  This is largely due to... well, the world being at a truly strange & unusual time in modern anthropologic history.  Despite the world being perhaps more polarized now, than at any prior point in our lifetimes, everyone can almost universally agree that times are "strange and unusual", and hence, this common accord may actually bring everyone closer together.  If nothing else, the world may throw down arms and unite, simply in agreement that it's all just so strange and unusual.

But what are some good synonyms for the words "strange" and "unusual?"  What words could they be grouped with... "friend words" if you will, to even better describe the current ongoings around the world that are just so... strange and unusual?

Here are some synonyms, or near synonyms;

The world may be strange and unusual, but perhaps 'twas ever thus.
Here's a list requiring varying degrees of poetic license:
