I just got a notification yesterday that my GameFAQs account is 20 years old.
I probably used GameFAQs extensively for a year before signing up so I could post on the forums so it's actually been longer but still, twenty years!
For those who never really used GameFAQs, yes, there were walkthroughs for games but it was also the Internet's central hub for discussing games. My joining the Mario Kart community, the Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Rogue Squadron, TWINE, and F-Zero communities and rankings all happened because of GameFAQs.
Crazy how much things have changed.
