Title: Grocery Shopping Trip (January 2022 Edition)
Post by: RWG on January 26, 2022, 10:28:59 pm
Taken at one of the biggest grocery stores in Canada's largest metropolitan area; a store which is traditionally plentifully stocked and maintained.

Is this a Superstore? If so then yes, quite strange that it isn't stocked. Never seen one even remotely close to this empty before...

Yep.  Was there last night.  Now admittedly, these pics were cherry picked; someone could have come in and taken pictures of aisles that were entirely 100% full (of which were there some).  So it all depends on what story the creator wants to tell.  And like, the emptiness of the bakery could be at least partially explained by it having been night time (when they're not making fresh bread yet, and thus the boxes have been emptied throughout the day).

But still.  As you pointed out, generally speaking, Superstores are amazingly stocked at all hours of day, no matter what.  So a handful of aisles of emptiness is rare; or at least, a sign of the times.

It is a strange and unusual time indeed.

I could go for some smith brand salt vinegar chips.

My advice is go to small fruit/veg shops they are normally well stocked vs super stores.
