Title: Ruins (Agent) Pillar Consistency.
Post by: Not-so-Perfect-Dark on September 06, 2003, 06:46:00 pm
I need some help.

I have been using the very good setup on Skedar Ruins: Agent lately, and have managed to find a way to consistently do the last pillar (the long hallway one), and it hits from far back, almost 100% of the time.

However, I can't seem to hit the second one too well; the second one is where you throw it over the wall.  I always stop and aim for a long time, and that only gets me a 26-27 crossing, because I waste too much time.  If I don't stop and aim, then I basically miss (except for a few rare occasions).

Can anyone please find a good way to get the second pillar without stopping too much?  Surely there has to be a way, but I haven't found anything.

I shall make a video soon of me doing the setup again, this time I will show my consistency in the third pillar, and it should have a 26 crossing (I don't feel like searching for one on my tape, so I will either get another or just use the 27 cross that I stopped the tape last at.)

If we can find a way to do the second pillar good, then this will be even easier than the old decent way.  This is because of the fact that most people can't throw the bug at the second pillar (using the old way) right as they turn the corner; I noticed in the 1:12 video that is currently up on the movie server, the player throws it almost as he is next to the pillar; this makes you have to wait for the next throw as well.  You can throw the bug right when you turn the corner and barely have to stop for the last throw; but we won't have to perfect that if someone finds a consistent way to do the throw over the wall using the good setup.

Understand?
