I had a nearly perfect run before that. The lift closed at :25, I hit the stairs perfectly AND managed to speech skip. I was at the end waiting for the prez when, somehow, Trent managed to shoot the president and end that run.

. Shooting a Skedar coming through the door is also a good way. Just remember to shoot the Skedar King with a head-shot to make the ending-animation short. 0:28 took me a while to make, because Im using 1.1

Attack Ship PA: 4:56
This level is a _cake_ , no doubt about it. Its a pity that my most crappiest run made it into the end. I usually can make the first part quite fast. I start the cinema after Joanna has finished her first whole sentence. Then I strafe to the Skedar, pick up the Mauler and shoot those things. Anyway, just when I arrive to the front of the lift, it opens. I go in and shut it while entering (0:14-0:15). Then I strafe to the next lift and do the same thing again (0:26-0:27).
At the top, I quickly shut the lift door, wait for a second or so, and call it back. Then I go activating the doors and came back. The lift closes as I enter (0:39-0:40). During the alert I just shoot as many Skedar as I can and the lift usually opens before the alarm ends. I usually get to the lift at 1:25-1:35.
During my 4:56-run, I totally screwed up the first part, entering the lift after 1:40 and lost incredibly much energy during the next minute. When I quitted the room with 4-5 Skedar, the one I had leaved behind, almost killed me and I had my health on far red. So, I just thought to try to finish the level with a lame run and to make it to the 5min club. There happened some more odd things even after, because my Mauler was out of ammo and I had to use the AR53.
I plan to make a sub 4:30-time, that would be good enough. After that, I suggest I could get to know how to use 1.2. to make faster times. But lets see now...

BTW 1.20 lift out of the main hanger WTF I had a 1.50 and managed to get to the bridge in 3.50 and have it clear before that horrid message arrived...........Elvis has died ARGH!

As you meet Elvis, wait until the alert is set and then rush to hangar, going to the right and shoot the Skedar coming from the door on the right first, then the another one on the left. If you didnt go there too fast, the next Skedar should already be on the right. After you shoot him, kill the fourth on the left again, then dash to the next doors near the lift.
Rake one or two Skedar here and Elvis should say his line. The lift doors may have been opened already, too. Do you think the lift door opening-times are the same on NTSC and PAL? Propably...
I often get to the lift 4 at 3:00-3:10, but the doors are closed. You can call them, of course, but it takes some time. A good way is to shoot one Skedar, go calling the lift and then to quickly return and shoot the second Skedar.
Im quite pleased with my Attack Ship PA already, but if you are still a cripple, you could tell your TTs for Attack Ship A and SA too, Fw

Anywayz, this thing is automated isn't it? Cause it says I have 57 CI A, which i only got a few hours ago and I haven't even updated my site... strange.
EDIT: Also, I have other untied records like 225 Maian SOS SA, so like what's up. It must be automated but that's like wierd.
2nd EDIT: Somethings really wierd. Also for CI it says i have 147 sa when i have 152 i think :S and for pa it says i have 219 but i have something like 243!!!!!!!!! WHat's WROONG !

Got to the camspy so quick (for me at least). On pace for a 1:12 or 1:13 (78-81 points!), then the guards pretty much barricaded the doorway at the end and I was trying to squeeze through with my detonator still in hand. Then some other jerk blocked me and it rounded up too.

Hmmm...I missed both speechskips (actually I missed the first one on every run I tried tonight and only got Cass's line once or twice
). Plus I was a second or two late to the first elevator, Cass was a little slow to leave her office, and I lost about 2 seconds on the roof ramps because of sloppiness. And I think I made Cass open two doors for herself. Basically, the WR seems readily accessible. When I can tape again, I will bombard MBR.

Damn you, QB, for making me play this level. Extraction SA now takes the number 2 spot on the top ten levels that piss me off the most, second to only Crash Site SA. Caroll would seriously go on streaks where he would die 7-8 times in a row, then I would @#%$ up a run, then he would go on another streak.

I'm nowhere near satisfied with this time. I had to wait 2 seconds for the 3rd elevator (the real slow one), plus I was 2 seconds late getting into the first elevator. So that's four seconds...I need to time the cinema right, or I'm going to have some problems later on.

Kinda unexpected. I'd been shooting the grenade directly at the wall behind the firing squad instead of bouncing the grenade off the other wall, so the hostage objective completed later than usual, causing Carrington to take forever to finish his spiel. I'd usually get to the end of the level at this time, but I'd always had to wait before. Anyways, we'll see how long this one lasts.

Should've had 2:02 or so, but things didn't go my way. Evidently after about 50 failed runs, the institute runs out of devastators, so I stopped getting them, period. I guess I have to wait for the new @#%$ shipment or something...
And QB...Things almost always work out eventually. I went through so much @#%$ in college last year, but it's all good now(except for the fact that I also have to take a third year).
Seriously though, don't worry too much about it.

I was just experimenting with the skedar jump. I got it to work on two failed runs and got a 1:30 and a 1:29. A few runs later i got the correct pillar config. and did the skedar jump AND nailed the two little shards simultaneously. Totally blind luck...

Just for the record, I would have 3 untieds:
Chicago SA (I have 0:29)
Chicago PA (I have 0:31)
Air Base A (I have 1:24 and i'm gonna get about 3-4 secs lower very soon)

well the PA time hasnt been put up yet, cuz i didnt have it when he updated but i have 0:32 now...and well, i will try to tie the SA time, and i think i can get 0:30 PA,i will try.

Joining this rivalry will give me some easier (but not too easy) times to go for instead of WRs which are very very hard. I can't wait to be in.

I was 5 seconds slow from my best by the time I completed obj. 2. That was 5 seconds wasted from that dam skedar in bridge room getting in my way. But, the king was nice to me.

And I also noticed that if Perfect Torres is removed then I will have another untied record; Maian SOS PA with my 2:42, which I can also improve. Not by much, but I figure at least 8 or 9 seconds.
Hey iggy, what are some of your TTs for ruins? For objective 1 mine is 19-20 sec, I try to have the bridge activated and be all the way across at 39-40 sec, and if I meet those then I am doing very good. The king seems to be the most time consuming part for me.

I only look at my time on Ruins PA in two spots. Jumping down after completing Obj. 1, which is AROUND 22 seconds, around because the group of skedar that almost always get in the way. The second is after crossing the bridge, where I strive for 39, but usually get 40-43. On my 2:14 I got :37. I sometimes check my time when I see the king, which is probably less than 1:40, however, I can't remember because I just got finished trying CI PA and Ruins SA, where my entrance there is 1:25-1:30

The fastest I can remember jumping into the ravine is about 23 sec flat. I think that I get to the king at 1:30, but I can't be too sure. I'll know tonight.
Ownage... Hmmm. If I was you iggy, I would improve that ruins PA time a little if you want to keep it. That goes for your other ruins times as well.
EDIT: I played ruins for about 40 minutes with no results. two 2:20s and a 2:23. I had the kings shield down on one run and there was only the central pillar left and the timer was 2:07. He cloaked somehow and I only got a 2:20. It should have been a 2:09 or a 2:10 though.

I don't have the stuff to make vids, but i did take a picture of my endscreen (chicago SA and PA) with my camera. I have 8 pictures left on it so i just have to waste those and then I can get them developped. Until then, you don't need to add me, it's ok with me. I'll make a link on my site to a page with my pics when I get them. Until then, i'll go for some WRs like Chicago SA 0:28. I was 0.02 seconds off it on my 0:29 run.

I was working on CI PA and I open the door to the gun training room on my way to the far elevator, but those dam hostages always get killed so Grimshaw never drops the devastator.

2xEdit: Oh, and I won't own Ruins for very long. You(KS7) or Snowblind will pass me up and leave me in the dust. The only level I'd own (if QB gets removed) is my CI PA (of course, until someone watches a vid or reads My Strat.

I had a failed 2:06 for PA. I had just killed the king and thought I got 2:06 when the screen was red cause I failed. I evidently didn't kill the secret skedar army all the way.
Well iggy, I beat your PA, but not your A and SA. It might be a long time before I come back to this level too, so you might own A and SA for a while if Perfect Torres gets removed.
EDIT: NSPD, when I get a VCR, I'm gonna get below 1:50 PA on tape, and there is no chance at all that you will beat that.:P And some other times too. Maian SOS PA for one, and maybe :27 for WAR! if I'm lucky.

and i did really use any strats for PA or SA, so if i put some effort into those, i can improve. thats exactly what im going to do today..those, and Duel PA: 0:09 hopefully.
