Make it easy, then I might trick myself into thinking I can improve my PRs elsewhere without much effort.... Also, there's probably only a few levels I'll even dare to touch lol... But mainly elite PA missions.So... cast a vote in the "What Level Should Paragon Play in a Futile Effort to Regain Interest in Perfect Dark and Get a New Record" now or else!
Great possibilities include:
Pelagic II PA, Deep Sea PA, Attack Ship PA, Rescue PA, Maian PA.... Yeah, I like long levels with killing I guess. Or maybe you can find the easiest time I have that I should improve to get easy points. Go go go go!!
P.S. This is all for fun... Guaranteed. Also, there is a very real chance I will play for 3 minutes before throwing my controller in disgust and returning to PC gaming

Also, I better get to downloading some videos or something. I think I'd need one for War 0:26. So I guess I should try for that time... Then Rescue or Maian PA? I think I'm definitely going to give Deep Sea PA a whirl because that record doesn't impress me much. I'd like to try Pelagic II PA but I clearly remember how difficult that level can be all these years/months later.
Okay, since I basically have three records left it's safe to probably just pop in any tape I have leftover and start recording. I'll try to put in a solid hour or two of effort on something before New Year's and post the results

btw, the AS stuff is a pain with NTSC, u should try it with PAL.. watch some movies and u'll understand the strat.

i would play NTSC AS PA. you can get at least 3:25 on it, if not faster. i can get a 2:40 lift (around there) after jo's first line, but i saw some big mistakes, losing 3 seconds getting stuck on skedar, and other BS. so if i could get there faster, maybe a 2:35 lift at least (i got there 2:33, and lift was high up, so get there around 2:28 and it should be down faster, around 2:35) and anyways, if you get a 2:35 lift or around there, you can easily get 3:25. but do whatever...i hate AS. im done with it...unless i get bored, i might come back and try for the WR with the "slow strat"

In the event that you play Deep Sea PA, I wish you luck on that. 3:25, while not amazing is still pretty damn good I like to think. The time is obviously beatable, as are the other 55 or so far from maxed times we have here. Basically, you will just have to get a good Elvis, and hope that the guys are in a good position in the 'large circular pit' room. I used the double blast shotgun, and you should hope that the third guy opens the door. If you make it throguh the portal, it will all be straightforward up until the control room. When you arrive here just keep your bottle and take them down quick. Finally, you just have to prey that you don't get wasted as you pass those load of guys near the end...
So anyway, if you want a quick blast, just avoid those stages that rely so much on chance. Unless you try and beat Karl for number 1, I would just have fun and stop playing those stages that piss us all off.

I dunno, go for rescue I guess, try that old/new trick that won't work, but is probably bound to work in 14 hours....(I think you know what I'm talking about, to get that door open or something...not sure how much you tried that)

Vinze got the trick to work 3 times in 30 seconds.
Of course, he did get punched alot, so life would be (more of) a problem.

edit: watched it.. yea he used the invencible cheat. u might know that a punch on PA may take off 1/3 or 1/4 of ur life.. and u also would have to be lucky with the guards after getting the disguise.. AND be lucky at the end, hoping to survive with a prolly bad health. the level is already gay, take a guess at how would be it's gayness with that trick..
btw, i think that the achieving rate might be good, but the FAST achieving rate is totally gay. to save some time, u'd have to perform it in less than 5s. and dont forget that the guard can: be surrended, take off a falcon, run like a mad cow, run in circles, and a few other things.. and one of those is punching u.
i dont remember how much time the uplink takes, but it must be something like 12-13s. so.. on a VERY FUCKIN LUCKY run, u'll do the trick in 4-5s. and again, u'd have to survive...

Now about the 1/100 thing , I don't think you're right.You can perform it really quickly with that way : once you break through the main corridor heading up , you have to shoot a Falcon bullet on the gay guard , who will either
1 : lose his gun if you shot the hand (good luck suckers , it's hell harsh)
or
2 : get hurt , herld himself etc...
On that second case (which is definitly the most frequent) , you just have to disarm him and hope that he'll try to hit you (you don't want him to surrender or bring a magial fII from his magical pocket).Then you just attract him towards the door as I did on the vid and he will open it.
You probably can make it work 1:7 , maybe better.The whole thing takes approximatively 5-7 secs , and costs no life (dodge his punches).
Good luck after that...maybe spending 5-6 secs after the computer blows to kill all the guards is a good option , as they will hunt you to death after that...
