Fear is playing from the bottom opening of the 1st Area 51: Infiltration lift SA with full red health.
Fear is doing that on a World Record run.
Fear is your speed being unprecadented on this run.
Joy is not getting hit.
Joy is getting the WR.
Joy is getting 1:41 Infiltration SA on a PAL system.

I've experienced this. Fear and Joy.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm bragging, but Infiltration SA has always been a level I longed to hold the WR for (again). I'm very excited now that i've done it.

Do you know why I used PAL?

Well Done Jugador!

I have always wanted to at least hold another world record instead of Duel, but my @#%$ playing skills won't allow me to do, especially on bloody Area 51: Infiltration.

Go on tell us why you used a PAL System? You are a PAL user or am i mistaken.

I don't know fear or joy. All I know is failure. I'm working on the joy part though.

Not taped.

I used PAL because:

If you use ntsc you bust your arse to get the technician who is sometimes down the hole already even on your fastest runs, then when you get him and get into the lift you still have to wait until the 2nd lift comes... and the most you could get is 140 - 141. Unlikely you'll get that though. Usually 142 or 143 will occur.

Now with PAL you can make the whole thing speed. You lose 2 seconds due to disadvantages but you get it back by not having to wait for the lift. One bad thing is that to catch the 2nd lift you have to start kinda early, hence the technician hasn't even gone past the activation terminal on fast runs. The fastest lift press you could get is 58. I had 59.

If there is any proof issue i'm positive i could perform this score again. It wouldn't be as cool as my original though. Because of the health/panic issue post 1st lift.

i hadnt to wait the lift on my 1:42 and it was a good run. could've been 1:41 easily, but i was kinda slow at the end.. i dunno what are u talking about in getting the lift closed. anyway, gj on the 1:41 matt, most cuz u showed how good can PAL be on this level. and all the fear stuff.. hella cool. too bad u havent got it on tape.. it'd be great to watch it.

I'm going to get this time again. Considering the 1st time was 50 minutes, I'd say i can do it again. Will tape for sure. And who knows...maybe it'll be a 1:40?

I wanted to make a new topic but i think it's not necessary.

I have 2:02 on SA and there are some secs to get easily for me, but there's on thing I want to know:
I have PAL and i have to run to the keycardguard because I don't know how to get him next to the first lift.
can someone explain me how to do it?

If you are good enough to get into the little hole after the rocket launcher at 40 - 43 then quit the cinema when you see elvis's hands in the zooming out close shot. Techie should be pretty close. Just start earlier and earlier to make the techie easier to hit, but too early and you'll break the deal with the last lift. Experiment.

I taped a 1:43 vid btw. It's a gay run and you can see how i could fix it to being a 1:41. Basically it shows you how to screw up hitting the technician. It took 3 punches. Clean 41.5 second finish.

if u wait a lot at the cutscene, the keycard dude will be near/inside the hole. of course, for a faster run, u need him near the hole. i start the cutscene a lil bit before paragon (watch his 1:42, it's very helpfull)

I figure i'll put up the 1:43 were i get stuck on guards just before the last lift losing 1.5 - 2 seconds.

And yes, you're right; the vids don't work.
