Title: What the hell do we stand for anyway?
Post by: Pearldrumma on April 17, 2003, 12:45:00 pm: I just wanted to say that I am extremely disappointed by what I have been seeing here lately at the elite. Not only is everyone bailing because of gay reasons, but now we learn that the supposed 'best' are full of crap themselves. The entire elite is looking to me like its not about who can play the best anymore, rather how good you are at faking times, and whining about your stupid @#%$. Now mind you I am not talking about everyone, because I know there are plenty people in here who have rightfully earned valid times, and who put in the extra effort to have kick ass WR up on the board, however the obvious needs to be stated. I can in good conscience assume that over 1 third the times we have on our rankings are bullshit. Okay that sucks ass, but what can we do about it? Sit around and complain about how great the elite 'used to be'? Why dont we get off our asses and do something about it? Im tired of hearing complaints, and not seeing anyone take action. Ooh big deal, there was an april fools joke, get over it. Ooh EG lies to us for 3 years and then expects us to feel sorry for him, get over it. All the losers who cant take a little criticism, or who dont feel like sucking it up, decide that they want to get out, get over it. Its better that we weed out all the fags now, it'll only improve the validity of the entire elite. Yeah @#%$ happens, but you wont get anywhere just standing around whining about it. Look, I say anyone who feels they arent going to stick around needs to get the hell out now, save us some time. I swear every time I see a new topic on the board, 'Im leaving' or 'Im done playing' Im like well just get the f**k out then! What, you want some big dramatic ending where everyone replies and says, 'wow man you were the best, doesn't that suck that youre leaving now'. Screw that. I agree, the elite is going through a very rough time right now, but those of you who are leaving are just the rats who abandon a sinking ship. We have plenty of people left who can still play like they used to, and have a good time competing, and think of new ways for the elite to come together. So why waste time worrying about all the quitters. Lets focus more on what we DO have, and grab the ship by the helm.

But to imply that 1/3 of the top times here are faked? Where are you getting that idea? Karl certainly hasn't faked anything, Expert is completly legit, we know we can trust Paragon and Randy and Phil... Shade only has a few times up at the moment, but he's working on a new tape to proof all of his (incredible) recent WRs. I have no doubts about Dman or Greg K, ChodhE has proven himself, so has Lec... If theres one thing the PD Elite does NOT have right now, its a proof issue.

And as for people retiring... There's always been some people leaving, and more people joining, and many people making comebacks. This isn't really a problem, or anything new. And if someone who has put so much time into PD and contributed much to the Elite, like Greg K, wants to make a retirement thread, he's got every right to.

When I said 1 third of the times are't legit, I was talking about the entire elite in general. As far as Paragon, Chodhe, etc.., they are what keeps this place alive. Im talking about times people post that require little or no proof, such as top 100, or even top 50 for that matter. As far as getting new members, yeah thats kick ass and everything, but most n00bies I see, post stupid game faqs *cough* meatereater *cough*or complain about things that they have no say in, *cough* wheatrich *cough*. I didnt mean to come across as a dick to any of the top players, or Greg, who I didn't even know was leaving until just now. He did one thing differently, he didn't whine about stupid @#%$, and he didn't leave telling us his entire time here was a load of crap, trust me I hold much respect for Greg.

Most of the time I just read what others have to say hoping someone will come up with a feasible solution to whatever problem may have aroused. Only this time I haven't seen much positive posting on this entire situation, so I figured I was due for a return back into the boards. I just hope for a serious comeback, thats all.

I don't mind black people or anything but I do have some weird liking to the word 'nigger'. I know it's bad. I'd never call a black person a nigger although it has nearly slipped out when walking past some big, hairy black guy with chains. I also once shouted it when some black guy walked past our house and he knocked on our door. I didn't answer it . But there's nothing wrong with black people.
To be honest, I hate fat people. Especially whole families of fat bastards. With the flab hanging off their cheeks and massive tits and all that. There's this big fat lad in my school and we were doing a concert and he'd brought his whole family and I couldn't stop looking at them in disgust. Him and his big fat tub of lard sister moving their fat bodies to the music with their massive tits shaking around. And his fat parents taking up two seats each. I hate the way they see themselves as equals to us thinner people. I'm really skinny but at least that's not my fault. I eat about as much as any normal person does and no matter how much I eat I never get fatter but these families of fat wankers who spend their lives in MacDonalds can do something about it.

In conclusion. Black people are fine. The word nigger is quite funny but it should NEVER be used to actually describe anybody in a bad way and fat people are the scum of the earth and should all be gassed and their fat bodies fed to lions .

I should add that I have some pretty strong opinions and I'm probably going to get loads of stick from everybody but I don't care. The only person who lives near me to beat me up about it is rpauk and he's not fat and he doesn't care about my use of the word nigger.
