I've been working on my CS profile for a while now. Does anybody reading this have over my rank yet? Here is my entire profile... (NOT ALTERED)

I think it was Ngamer would created a pretty detailed page about the workings of how you move up in the Combat Simulator ranks. Look for his page, but I'll try to summarize what I can remember. Your rank is determined by a series of "flags." You receive a flag when a certain statistic reaches a pre-determined barrier. The last flag for medals, for example, is 900. When you have every flag your rank is 1: Perfect, but to attain that requires an ungodly amount of distance. The accuracy medals are the other thing that slow you down from getting there.
I don't want to go through my stats, but I know my rank is near perfect: 2, and my timer is somewhere around 16 days. The two flags I'm missing are the ones I discussed above. I think it was Tim Greneby who had the highest game timer of anyone in the elite, 23 days or something, but I can't remember.
-
You are such a n00b. I think the
just added to your obvious miniscule knowledge of this place.
-
You seriously think nobody has higher than rank 5?
-
i think my point was i'm wanting to see some other profiles and compair them to mine!!! Ya u may be perfect: 1 but i may have dies 1000000000 times less then u! (just an example, lol)
Please post your profile stats. If you don't want to type it out, just put the numbers listed in order.
-
I'm just gonna guess on this since I'm too lazy to get my cart, but it will be pretty close.

And I don't even give a f.uck about my CS rank.
-
that doesn't help either. anybody can just put perfect: 1 and guess on all the rest!
-
Why would a proven player lie to some stupid n00b who would get absolutly demolished by almost anyone here?
There is a higher chance that you just put 5: lethal than he put 2: invincible.
-
And there is an even higher chance that you are gay Tyler.
-
I'm a 6:Assassin, but I'm looking to move up to 5 this summer. I need like 5K more ammo, like 8 more hours, and like 40 more survivor medals and I'm there. Haven't done any of that cheating nonsense like in facility killing meatsims w/ remote mines or getting all 4 medals w/ farsight, etc.
All I ever play is my friends, or challenges w/ them. Or this one really fun scenario we made. It's actually hilarious. I'll tell about it someday.
-
i'll have to agree with "not so perfect dark". How can you sit there and say i'm a noob when your too lazy to take a second to post your real profile! If you ask me, I think i'm more devoted to PD than you'll ever be.

Hey guys! I just made a new Perfect Dark Forum. It's also for any real nintendo fans. Please AT LEAST visit the polls section and cast your vote on your favorite games and nintendo systems.

You probably are. I've played maybe 10 minutes of CS. But I know for a fact that most of the people here could take you, and I probably could as well. And for the record, NSPD was banned for lying.
-
i personally think your more bark then bite. I could probably take you down rather quickly. My friend and I practice together against 3 Dark Sims and at other times practice against eachother. I have been getting some good training and i'm willing to bet i'd win in a match against you (somebody who probably plays against meat sims)
-
GeneralFade - get someone here to send you the video of ParagonX9 (one of the elite's best) vs. 8 DarkSims...
As a side note, and not a huge deal -- topics like this go in the "General Chat" board. This board is concerned w/people improving solo mission times. You oghta send yours in, BTW.
-
Why the @#%$ would I lie about my stats?
. You don't seem to understand that we play solo missions mostly, but nearly any of us could take on 8 darksims by ourselves and win no matter what the settings. You probably think it's unbelievable? Oh well. I've spent a total of 25 days on this game including both solo and multi, and I don't think that you're more dedicated than me. You're just a n00b that is in disbelief of our godly skillz.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
This. Topic. Is. Stupid.
My stats: who cares
My rank: Perfect:1
And yes I would, in fact, own you.
-
I seem to remember saying something similar to this before but...just because we play Single Player here doesn't mean most people here couldn't own your ass. So you think you're good because you practice against DarkSims, eh? Go and try all Falcon 2's on Complex against 8 DarkSims or something, I have no idea what the exact settings are, you'll have to ask someone else, but it's something like that. Try that and see if you can win.
-
Sorry, general between all those grammatical errors, I was unable to interpret your post. You were trying to say you're gay, right? That's what it looked like, but I'm not quite sure.
-
General, let me try to explain the reason for your rude welcoming. You're posting at the board where the best Perfect Dark players in the world post. Unfortunately for you, we have seen this argument ("Just because I'm not the best at solo doesn't mean I couldn't pwn you at CS") many times before. Thus, it's logical the noob-bashing (renem
) started faster than University of Michigan could accept a black student.
On a more constructive note, if you're really interested in testing your combat simulator skills, try one of the following:
Give the challenges a shot. Challenge 30 is certainly the most popular of all of them. To give you an idea of the CS skills around here, the best players, Paragon, Zeebo, Diso, and Lich, shut Ch 30 out on 4 player, and ParagonX9 and Octoinky beat the challenge on 3 player settings while playing alone. I've beat it on 4P settings playing with one other person
, so give it a shot.
or...
Go into any arena and make the weapons all f2's. Put on LTK and add in 8 dark sims -- no teams. If you can win that consistently, feel good about your skills, but don't expect anyone to send you baked goods for your accomplishment, except Youse.
*Guesses Sam's noob rating is < 3*
-
except Youse.
But yeah, don't underestimate the people here. Everyone pwns like no one else's business.
-
Yeah that's why everyone's bashing you. You have seriously underestimated the skills of the people here.
-
Hey Mike.... I don't see your shining PD skills
.
Seriously. The people here could rip your head off and sh.it in your neck in CS. It takes a ridiculous amount of practice to get anywhere near their standards. The darksim match settings that most players use are:
One Hit Kills. Anything you like as far as auto aim/radar/highlighs are concerned (but it's advised you use them to your advantage)
Complex
All weapon slots set to Falcon 2
8 darksims
No teams
Time limit - 4 minutes. No score limits.
You can also do the 8 darksims all teamed against you with the same settings above. So it's just you all on your own with 8 darksims hunting your ass down.... I reckon this is easier to win than the no team stuff (but you die a lot more).
But download Paragon's vids. Get on AIM and I'm sure somebody won't mind sending them to you.
My Rank is 2 - Near Perfect.
-
The only problem with Paragon's 4-minute Complex challenge is that it lends itself to camping. Even if you move around, you take momentary camp positions constantly. Paragon was pretty good at keeping steady movement, but it was really a learned familiarity with the settings and an incredible ability to interpret the radar (a congested mess of green dots).
My CS rank is 4:Elite, without any sort of bullshit. It includes 8 days of play, 90% of which was with at least one other person. And if everyone didn't already know, your listed accuracy is only from the games you've played that day (or something to that effect), so listing it is pointless.
To extend on something Breckish said, it was Tim Greneby's friend that had the most time on his CS file - 31 days. Amazingly, this was 1 year after the game's release. Which meant he averaged 2 hours a day over that span.....
That, I must confess, is sad.
Lastly, what was that about 1,000,000 (maxed) kills?? And how did you have 2000 accuracy medals? I find it hard to believe those numbers were attained without creating settings designed to rack up unbelievable numbers very quickly. Obviously there are settings that can get you all 4 metals in about 5 seconds, but that's lame. Consider the great Paragon....his file changed to 3:Invincible (where it remains) while he was in Illinois last summer. He just played for fun, not for the numbers. His most notable challenge 30 feat was beating it 19-2 on 2-player settings!!! My best is 16-10...
-
Hey, I never said I reached Perfect:1 legitly
But after getting to Perfect, I play it normally. What's the use getting heaps more kills if the counter isn't going to go up any more? Usually I just go on a mindless MeatSim slaughter with Devastators or something.
I'm planning to try that Complex LTK thing, although I don't know the Complex very well. I can learn. And see myself get better, too.
-
Kind of lends itself to camping.... Jesus christ man. You're against darksims!!! Camping is the way to go! Unless you want to lose miserable EVERY GO! I showed the 8 darksim match to somebody and they'd been all in anticipation of seeing me own a couple of darksims and after it he said "It wasn't very good. All you did was pop out from behind corners on them". Errr... yeah. That's kind of.... the only remotely safe way to take them. You'd stand practically zero chance in an open area in a straight gunfight. And you bloody well try it you cheeky git! I worked hard practicing this setting! Some people

Better?

I'm perfect 1 too ( I have 1 048 575 frags like youse ) and yes I used settings designed to rack up unbelievable numbers very quickly ( there is a glitch which can let you to get more than 10 000 frags in one hour , but well I guess everyone knows it ) and I don't consider it like cheating .
Everyone knows you can't say someone is good because he's perfect 1 or someone is a bad player because he's not perfect 1 : every player on earth could reach perfect 1 with weak settings but it wouldn't mean he's good .
Well then , once you know this , why not trying to reach perfect 1 to complete everything on this game ? Using glitches or designed settings isn't cheating , it's just use all the possibilities of the game itself . You can think it's sad ( that's what I think too , it wasn't fun to play just for statistics in order to reach perfect 1 but I did it to know if it would have unlocked something : and it didn't
) , but well it's like using lookdown or the defection glitch to get faster times : you don't play the game as you would normally do , or for fun, you play it and use weird tricks , glitches to get faster times : that's just the same with CS ...
oh I know someone on french boards who had the goal to get the highest statistics possible to see if they could be maxed ( like frags ) and oh my god , he has something like 150 days , 12 000 medals of each , 55 000 kilometers etc
I don't know how he could play that much just to get those statistics because that's not something funny but it seems that's what he likes !
Edit : KillerSim7 , you can't be invincible 2 , I guess it's just a typo
-
Hmm, you're right. lol. I'm Near Perfect: 2.
Invincible is 3.
Personally I think "Invincible" sounds better than "Near Perfect", even if the rank is worse. I guess I thought it because I was invincible for such a long long time that it got ingrained into my head.
-
If that's really what your rank is KillerSim, I'd be fascinated to know why it's different from everyone else's, seriously. I am certain that the ranks progress like this:
20: Trainee
19: Amateur
18: Rookie
17: Novice
16: Trooper
15: Agent
14: Star Agent
13: Special Agent
12: Expert
11: Veteran
10: Professional
9: Dangerous
8: Deadly
7: Killer
6: Assassin
5: Lethal
4: Elite
3: Invincible
2: Near Perfect
1: Perfect
Do you use PAL? I doubt that the different cartridge would change anything. Weirdo. I'd check your cartridge again, though.
-
I'm 5:something-a-rather thingy
I racked up 20k kills using the tricks, but that's because I was to lazy to start over since my old profile was erased. and if you're so 1337, just go beat Karl's time on challenge 30.
-
"And for the record, NSPD was banned for lying."
And for the record tyler, I was not banned for lying, I was banned for not providing proof. There is a difference; we all know I wasn't lying, and that I just don't have to prove that I am the best player, you all know I am
-
Errr.... no we don't. Granted. After the proof you gave for TS2 you should at least be allowed to keep those records. If they were kind they'd let you back in on the condition you set your scores to the real deal but hey. It's only a game.
-
Not that Paul has seen the times he now claims.
-
ya ya ya... your cool... your soo bad! Wow you can do all that, really??? wow.
Is that what your wanting to hear? Out of everybody in this forum's rambling and complaining, only one other person has even bothered to post his profile.
I think your profiles all suck so bad that your afrade to tell people anything but "perfect: 1".
Even if you do single player missions more often than BS, BS profiles are the only real "records" of how good you really are.
I guess your all too stupid to figure that out.
I'm leaving this forum because it's stinking too much like braggers. Cya!
-
Quote:
BS profiles are the only real "records" of how good you really are.
Really? You can fake profiles and earn all your kills off massive glitches. You can use the glitch to complete all the challenges. Tell me how this shows skill.
Solo Missions require skill. You need to be able to aim fast and accurate, and kill your enemy fast. You must have a good reaction speed, coordination, etc. Tell me how that proves nothing.
-
Tell me, Mr. General, what proof do you have that YOUR profile isn't fake? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Also, building your profile takes no skill at all. For all we know, you could just spend hours killing meat sims. So yeah, you really suck. A lot. Make some vids or something if you think you're good.
-
Hey, General... have you even beaten all of the solo missions? Are they too hard for you, or do you consider yourself good at them? Have you unlocked WAR! ? Now, take WAR! PA for example here. I will almost bet money that IF you have it unlocked that you are unable to even complete the mission in any amount of time. If you look through the rankings here at the elite you will notice that over 100 of us have beaten the mission in under 1:15. I want you to go and complete the mission faster than that, and then come here and say that it didn't take any skill whatsoever. Now consider that most of us can complete the level much faster than that with consistency. I myself have 1:03 for the level and the WR is :54. We don't use any special tricks or anything.
Also, you call us braggers? I really didn't see anyone bragging, they were just putting you down. Besides, even if we were bragging, at least we have something to brag about. Lethal: 5.
-
Hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahah
I love all these Youse references. Do you like muffins or cookies? And you're a few thousand over in my frag count, wabs
I'm not astounding, but I have beat challenge 30 on 2P by myself something to 7... I think maybe 15 or 16 to 7. And myself and a friend (from Delaware, aka he sucks), beat it on 3P by ourselves. And I can shut it out in 1P no sweat.
And I do practice w/ the complex game Paragon once made up. And I can win once in a while. A long while.
-
oops sorry I saw "you... something" and thought it was you instead of your eliteness
-
Yeah, CS rankings suck. Something better would have been:
You kill:
MeatSim +0
EasySim +1
...
DarkSim +10
You get killed by:
MeatSim -50
EasySim -15
...
DarkSim -1
That would still lend itself to games deliberately set up to be easier, like all shotguns, so maybe a 'random level, weapons, 10 kill score limit minimum, etc' system would only be taken into account on the rankings, with any over settings not being counted. Stuff...
-
OMFG, with all of these references to challenge 30 I can't believe no one has mention me or greg lewis. We ARE challenge 30. Best challenge 30 players in the elite.
We have the record for longest streak on 2 player, 75 points! I have gotten 13 shut outs in a row on single player. Plus I hold the record for fastest challenge 30 shutout ever.
Me and greg shutout challenge 30 2 player like every 3 goes. I have shutout 2 player without dieing once a few times also.
In other words, fu.ck you all! You all know NOTHING about challenge 30 and if I had the chance I would kill each and every one of you.
-Karl
-
Well put.
-
Last time I checked, I was ranked 0: Dark.
-
Yeah, and my rank is -1: Light
-
And Karl is -2: gay.
I have shutout challenge 30 about 700 times in 4 minutes!.
And I have did it in 1 seconds.s!!!111 damn I good!11 @#%$ YOU ALL! </karl>
-
Yeah, and my rank is 17: Novice.
-
lmao at "Karl = -2: gay"
Karl and Greg are the best, no question. It should at least be noted that when my friend Eli and I got 48 straight points, well...Eli didn't have very good control (aim, strafing, everything). Greg is at least an experienced Eliter, so you can trust he knows what he's doing. Eli had no skills at all when we started playing, and gradually became acclimated to the settings. Take him out of his "habitat" and he's sim fodder, haha.
And Karl, all those Ch. 30 videos you've seen from me from when I was mediocre, most of my quality accomplishments came after that. I agree that most of those "feats" are routine now... 10 straight shutouts is impressive though.
-
I don't even have Challenge 30 unlocked.
-
"Greg is at least an experienced Eliter"
Greg is easily as good as Karl, if not better. One time he got the accuracy award for ch 30 2p
-
I suck really bad at Multi (just like Solo). I haven't finished Challenges 27, 28 or 30 (I think that's them), and my rank is "10:Professional". I know it's 10, and I think it's professional. My Multiplayer timer is about...2 days something. I would play it a hell of a lot more, but I have no other (humans) to play with, and the bots aren't anywhere near as fun to play with. My oldest brother (21) played GE with me the other day. We suck, but it was fun. Everytime I killed him he swore his head off at me, then we were playing in Bunker and it was 9-9 (first to 10). I took one shot at his head through a door and killed him. Man was he pissed
