This topic is to see what people personally think is the best or hardest WR.  There will never be a definite "best" WR, but the idea of this topic is too see what the most people think would be the hardest WRs for them to attain themselves, or which WRs people personally think are the best.

Basically, here's how it will work for this topic. You can do one of two things, or both:

1) List 2 or 3 WRs from each difficulty which you think are the best and would have the hardest time achieving.  There will be no order for this.  Please note that if you have a WR, you should not list it here, since you have already achieved this time.  If you believe it is one of the best WRs then do part 2 also.

ex: Agent - facility 46, dam 53, egypt 46
Secret Agent - surface 2 54, statue 219, cradle 36
00 Agent - dam 159, depot 50

2) Make a list of what you think are the 5 best WRs, in order, 1 being the best and 5 being the 5th best.

ex:

1. Jungle 00 58
2. Depot 00 50
3. Train A 104
4. Dam A 53
5. Dam SA 117


Again, do either one of these two options, or do both.  The records posted will be tallied at the end of some amount of time, and there will be breakdowns (ie: top 10s Best, people with 10+ WRs' best, all voter's best) for which are the most popular choice of "best" WRs.

Not a good time for a vote IMO. New WRs are always overrated and, given the recent flurry of untieds, the poll will probably be skewed towards them. Still, I'll post my current opinion (as unbiased as possible) tomorrow.

Don't see why Cradle 34 is so high... the strat's not too complicated, trev speed not that uncommon, and it only took Bryan a day or two's worth of play. Nobody's tried for it all that much (and Goose who did a little bit came really damn close).

Its very difficult to say what wr is better than the other. Maybe it isnt better, but 1.04 felt quite insane, and now 1.03. If it gets down to 1.02, then its the best GEWR ever.

Train is a more consistent level. thats why rayan got it in only a FEW DAYS. It took Illu a month for 1:17, and probnably the same time period with wouter for frigate 23. I think we should determine how good a record is with how high the odds are against you i guess...i mean i think itd be possible to get like 3 1:03's in a row, but 3 1:17's or 3 frigate 23's...i doubt it.

I'm sort of guessing with these, but this list seems logical. There's obviously a lot of WRs that could've been on that didn't; I doubt I will ever get any WRs that are untied right now.

I think 1:03 is a bit overestimated though it's still a top wr. It takes alot of practise to get good at Train but when you do you'll see that it's not too hard.

(I would put Frigate 23 here too but i just can't compare it to these wr's since it's 99% luck).

I notice people tend to rate highest the levels they struggle most with. Like henrik had trouble with Aztec so aztec has amazing records, or ryan struggled with silo sa so silo 1:12 he thought was the best. I think thats pretty weak but oh well not my problem.

Yeah I cant stand when people act like all you do on frigate is exit the boat and then run back in. Id like to see them fail like 10000 23's and then be able to get a 23 speed run when the hostages actually do complete. frigate is 100% skill.

Too difficult exercise for me, I'll just put some WRs I'm really impressed by...

Agent :
    Frigate 0'23 : besides being a great time, we all know how many fails it takes...
    Bunker 2 0'24 : still untied, it becomes the second fastest untied, incredible run
    Streets 1'13 : once again, needs a "perfect" run + Grenade Launcher
    Train 1'03 : I've just watched Henrik and Rayan's runs, they seem soo good
    Cradle 0'34 : maybe the cleanest run I've ever seen
    Aztec 1'33 : this one is particularly amazing because everything goes smooth for a level where everything can go wrong (life, backboosts, glass door,...). Maybe my favourite time.

Yet, it's really hard to judge the strength of some of those. For exemple, Bunker 2 : I'm sure it hasn't been played as much as Bunker 1, and if everyone had put much effort into it, it could also be way tied...or maybe not. If tomorrow 5 people get it, no one will ever speak of it as a top record.
What I mean is, we can't only be impressed by a run, we're actually more impressed by the number of persons who manage to get it or get close to it (there's just to notice how no one mentionned 17 or 22, and yet, they are both so good...).
For the following, I'll just give the levels because it's late, and I would also probably repeat myself :p

Bryan's Dam 53 is so damn smooth, it totally deserves a spot in top 3 of smoothest runs. at least, that's how I remember it. Cradle 34 wasn't close to that smooth.. 34 was smooth, but not close to how smooth his 53 was :p

Smooth runs, I'd be a self-arrogant @#%$ and put my Caverns A 1:03 up there. Anyway, drugsagainstainst or whatever, stfu about Frigate. It's not hard to fail 23 (I failed 23 like mad back in the day but only wanted 25 for the points). The only skill is consistently putting up those runs to have a chance. Not 100% skill by any means.

1. Silo SA 1:10 - sickening chaos based @#%$ that's harder than dried @#%$

2. Dam SA 1:17 - Oh well, hmm yea I like it, I got to, I just have to.

3. Bunker 2 SA 0:49 - Another sickening chaos @#%$ dryer than @#%$ or whatever, nah but seriously you can't hit the cams with all the @#%$ in the way, you just can't, still it happened on this run.

4. Bunker 2 00A 0:58 - ohhhh @#%$

5. Frigate A 0:23 - complete @#%$... I'm not sure I like this though, I'm trying real hard, I'm so @#%$ sorry I don't like this because I really want to like it since some people I like like it and they like me to like it and some I don't even like like it and it can't like be it like not work the level.

I didn't really struggle with Aztec i just tend to always get big luck factors down to 0%. I'm sure that if i would be a normal person who got descent amount of glass openings i'd cake those Aztec times.

Heh, it's hard to find a more consistent level in the entire game than Dam SA. For 1:17 getting a boost is big, but the level as a whole (any time 1:18 and up) is solely determined by your own skill and consistency. So Illu's having spent a month on a nearly luckless level should suggest how damn good the record is.

On the other hand, records are good in different ways. Ryan got 1:10 in I dunno, 2 days or something (though 1:12 took forever). It takes a lot of luck to get good Silo times; good players get 1:15-1:17 fairly commonly, but anything lower than that needs the right luck. So 1:10 is a fantastic WR in that the luck needed to do it only comes very rarely, but you still need a high level of skill and consistency to be able to capitalize on it.

Well what i meant was, its easier to get the same times over and over since train is such repetition. Kinda like facility. Santos has 6 or more 46's, because its like you just play over and over and over and over each time. dam sa is a little different cause a lot of situations come up where you quit out cause you set up an alarm shot wrong or missed a lock shot, got a bad gate, backboosts etc. You can make up more time in train as well. Its hard to get 1:18-1:19 with a backboost on dam sa.

what the hell are we talking about here, EVERYTHING is 100% skill, same input is same output, ALWAYS. that's how consistent Dam SA is, just like Surface 1 locks etc etc.

Technically true, but it's clearly beyond the bounds of human ability to recreate the necessary input to give, say, fast hostages. Dam is much more manageable, with the lock shot being right on the edge of human skill, i.e. a good player might get it more often but no one can get it every time.

that is what I was saying, the alarms on dam sa also depend on the way you set yourself up in front of them and I bet noone does that well enough to not call it some sort of luck factor for a human being, and thus makes it not that consistent...
