just a little concern of mine. on the world record rankings both myself and Leonardo have the same initials LS; just wondering could one of these be colour changed, at the moment its confusing to say the least. just hope this isnt too big a problem , thanks

in your case brandon, your colours are pretty extreme in comparison. in my case its like, pretty much the same colour.

Actually Brandon, when I first joined I was a white color but for some reason it didn't show up on my computer. So, I just asked YE to change it to blue, and the rest is history. :p

That run was pretty good man.  5:0 could be the reason it was only 1:50 there.  I mean, I played that a bit this week and 1:49 just seems real hard so 1:50 is decent.  Good job on that and good luck if you go for 00A.

Speaking of S1, I have always been able to get a good GL boost after leaving the comms building right b4 the end. I haven't seen anyone ever do it so I'll share. You don't lose any health if you do it right. It's kind of hard to describe...best I can say is, you shoot one on strafe aiming only slightly down, right before you go down a small hill about 1 second after going through the doorway. If you did it right you pass kind of close to the explosion about 2 secs later and the outer bit of the end of the flames just gets you as you're going up the next hill and gives you a nice boost w/basically no loss of health.

heh. I thought I've tried almost every boost spot but never tried that one Eddie.  I'll give it a shot when I go for 149s ;)


But like yea Jimmy.  Wtg get that one fast after SA just like me :)   I was gonna say when you described the end that it could be nothing like Dan or my 00A 150s, (1 bar leaving safe hut) but it was much worse.  I can't imagine the nerves you must have had going right about then. :smokin

A new strat/trick helped me get this WR.  Just watch the vid and you'll notice "OBJECTIVE A COMPLETE" appear with 1 second left in the run.

Basically, its all in the mine before Xenia.  Simply do not detonate this mine, and switch to the AR33 right away.  This will help because you can start shooting earlier, as well as being less lag making it much easier to kill Xenia.

Just don't forget to detonate that mine later on in the run.  As you see, I found it easiest to detonate it on that final stretch before the lift door.


Anways, 23 WRs ties me with Wouter in total WRs, but I'm ranked lower since he has more untied.  This WR took me under 10 hours, so its not that hard.  I'd say maybe 8 hours or so.

eh.. I would suggest detonating when heading for ladder.. then change back to GL to warp and then you can keep boosting. also.. I should try for 28 on turbo perhaps.
