hey everyone i hope u all remember me.

I have my tapes ready to go, all i have to do is write the address on the box and theyre gone! so, who wants them ?

Well, I don't have a Capture Card, but it would be cheaper to send inside of Canada (last time you were posting about financial problems.) So like, Alex, Mouser, Shade can make vids I guess.

I personally have no problem with sending to a fellow Manitoban, but some skeptical folks would rather you send to a proof mod.

Just yay! You're real!

edit - For those intested, I calculated Nathan's points when he gets on the ranks.

Nathan will have exactly 5509 points. The points I lose will bring me down to 5515 give or take a few points from calculation error. So Nathan will debut most likely in 7th place.

May I be the first to say "yay!" I really hope this guy is legit.

What's the deal with sending to outside Canada? If it really were a Mouser prank (which I don't think it is) then he could just as easily send them outside Canada, it doesn't prove anything. Also it's way more expensive.

Some people aren't willing to pay to drag a prank out longer? Anyways, I personally don't have doubts (if the tapes ever do get sent and the vids do get made) but that other topic showed that a lot of people did, and we should take the best course of action to remove those doubts, eh?

There's a balance to be struck. We could require Nathan to visit each of us in person and get WRs before our eyes, which would remove all doubt. If he's hard up then asking him to post a load of tapes internationally is a bit much I think. Maybe I'm overestimating the cost (I live in the UK where all international post is horrendously over-priced) but we ought to be at least a bit flexible on this.

Sending tapes internationally isn't anything specially expensive.

Cost me like 10 dollar to send an old pd tape with relatively crappy times to a german eliter.

Actually, I think I sent tapes twice to him.

get over the proof mod hype, there's no such thing. bottom line is, when videos need to be made, they just need to be sent to someone who can capture them, if you can't do it yourself. might as well send them to Bryan otherwise lol.

Allright, the potential top 10 player wants to sent out his tapes. Wouter is right; these days there isn't a strict proof moderator policy anylonger. In the past there was, just for the convenience of people who wanted to prove themselves and didn't have any capture material. They could sent their speedruns to a list of specific people who were entitled as proof moderator (like me). We made movies, tons of movies, and put them online to validate a certain player. It was always fun when another tape fell on my doorstep. *sigh, memories*

. Because more and more people got their own capture card/webcam/digicam, people started to make proof themsevles and the original proof moderators got the function of ''guarding the rankings''.

Now, if someone with capture abilities (preferably someone who lives the closest to Nate) could put down their adress, or exchange it with Nate himself, that would be sweet!

first of all i said iwasnt going to play again until my tapes were made into videos. i havent. (ill get to that in a bit) SECOND i said i didnt have a lot of money. do you know what that means? it means im the unfortunate demographic whos POOR. i didnt even realize how cheap it was to send @#%$ through the mail cuz i thought it be EXPENSIVE. (its not really) LAST i have a job now if you havent noticed i wasnt around for a long time. i was WORKING to save up money so i could send me tapes out (and for money too ill have a kid to support now) and just so you know i have to pawn in my nintendo and goldeneye cart just to get by once. i missed my deadline and have to get a differnet one from somewhere now.

now someone who can make internet videos and isnt mouserscribe post an EMAIL ADRESS I CAN CONTANT U AT. location isnt important anymore ill send overseas if i have to. ill only come back here once more and if theres no email adress then sorry ive wasted time. i already hate im causing all this @#%$ for everyone goddammit.

I am sorry, but put yourself in Keeper's position:

a) a newb who is good, and with all reason to doubt his times

b) a seemingly messed up life, poverty, children at a young age, etc

c) alleged connections with mouser (an already sketchy guy) adding to the skepticism

So seriously. All Keeper wants to do is get on the @#%$ ranks. He played hard and wants to be ranked. Sure, its weird that Keeper never uses the mail, but I mean, is that so unbelievable?

I also remembeing telling you 1 other time, i do not care if i lose a rank. So thats 2 total.(couldn't find it in my aim logs, prehaps it was a chat room)

Now i will tell you for the 3rd @#%$ time. I don't care if lose 100 ranks. As long as i play to the best of my abiliitys im happy, wether its 9th,10th,11th, all the way up to 100th place.
