A Great Day in GE History
« on: June 26, 2006, 11:18:00 am »
If you have been keeping up with the GE boards, you probably knew that this was coming.  If not, get ready for something huge to hit you right now.  The largest event of this year has just transpired.  Yes, that is right.

I, Ryan White have passed Jim Barrett in the Goldeneye Ranks.

Unbelievable? Crazy? Insane? Yes.  But, you ask, how could the man known as the Goose pass someone so great as Jim Barrett?

"The answer is simple.  The gayer you are, the more you succeed at GE."  Said Dr. Mike Gaydeski.  "Ryan was willing to sacrifice extreme amounts of his sexual orientation in order to overcome the supreme gayness of Jimbo." *

Jim Barrett is currently unavailible for comment.

Jim Barrett, known as the gloating type, has the words "I>Goose" written at the top of his times page.  The times page was changed by Ryan White himself to change this inscrption, along with a personal message.

Still not convinced?  Let's take a look at the numbers.

Current Points:
Goose - 5518
Jimbo - 5513

Current WRs:
Goose: 18
Jimbo: 6

Most WRs ever held at one point:
Goose: 18
Jimbo:9

Points on Silo Leaderboard:
Goose: 297
Jimbo: 287

Best Time on Surface 2 Agent:
Goose: 0:51
Jimbo: 0:53

Percentage of passing the first round in the Elite Summer Contest:
Goose: 100%
Jimbo 0%

Gay Lovers:
Goose: 0
Jimbo: 3

Finally, the GE rankings have been updated with a cool new feature.  In case you haven't seen them yet today, here is what they look like: **

Who's the best non-dot user now?  Bitch.

*Not an actual quote from Mike Gaydeski
**The ranks were not actually updated like this
"I want to be defined by the things that I love. Not the things I'm afraid of, or the things that haunt me in the middle of the night.  I just think that, you are what you love."  Taylor Swift, Daylight.

Props I guess, took you long enough, I haven't seriously played GE for multiple PRs since May 2004 though bitch, congratulations on your slow, painful journey :) . Just take note that I was TOC with no dot, and probably still could be if GE was practical now. Whatever, numbers don't lie, good job. You'd better take over 4th or something now.

Highest GE (Points) Rank:
Jimbo - 3
Goose - 6

Just one thing regarding this:

...um, aside from Trent's expressed disappointment, it needs to be pointed out that you essentially said that Henrik, Brandon and Matthijs suck. That's clearly not true. :b

Also, speaking empirically, both Trent and Henrik are better than yourself in all three difficulties, if you'd care to check. >D

That being said, well done on breaking 1:20:00. Only 8 other players have done that, so it's something to be proud of. 8)

Thanks for tearing apart that joke Kent.  Allow me to elaborate.

This entire topic was made in order to offend only Jimbo.  I didn't even want to offend Jimbo a lot really, just a bit.  You can't see anyone's name below that line, so obviously it's aimed at Jimbo.

Furthermore, I have had many conversations with Alex, where we both agree that we both suck at GE.  If the 5, 6 players, suck, how can lower ranked players not?  I'm not saying this is true at all, that we suck, but still, I think I do.

I don't understand what this means.  Sorry.  Care to explain?

Thanks everyone for the appreciation and my apologies if I offended anyone.

edit - you mean in time ranks?

A few things to rebuttle I guess...

1. My mom said you were the worst sex she's ever had, chode's don't work in America dude.

Lets check out some of your times compared to mine...hehe

Bunker 1 SA = 0:23 / 0:25
Bunker 1 00A = 1:08 / 1:13 lolz
Bunker 2 00A = 1:09 / 1:14 lolz
Control SA = 4:21 / 4:30 lolz
Control 00A = 4:22 / 4:36 lololz
Caverns SA 1:25 / 1:28 ha
Caverns 00A 1:52 / 1:58 (my run was a fluke, meh)
Egypts all.

I do believe most of those involve accuracy, in which a dot perhaps could be your help. I dominate these levels, you still suck. So I > you without teh dot, EAT IT GOOSE ;)

Jim doesn't have proof for his 1:23 so I'd say he didn't get it.

as for suckiness and such.. I'd say it starts to begin being pretty good at 4th place. the only one under 4th place that has impressed me somewhat is Michael.. but if he keeps at it, his rank will show it too.

Ah! Sorry if that made me appear as something of a killjoy. :o  Just thought I'd jump in to defend a couple of the higher ranked guys who are just below Trent and Jim. Of course I suck at GE (relatively, duh) but yeah, those guys don't. I can't imagine how you could rationalise your own GE suckiness. You're in teh Top 10 after all. :D

Yes Ryan, I meant in terms of time totals for each difficulty. So without bringing the rest of the elite into the equation as points totals do, they've achieved slightly better times than you (so far, of course ;) ).

Yea, no problem.  Just read Wouter's post really.  The higher up you get, the more you realize you can improve.  I'm sure the other guys 7th-12th agree ;) .

I don't quite fill that way, the higher up i go the more i realize im runing out of levels to help gain "good" points on. Also the higher up I get, the more I make more insain goals for myself, which will prolly never be reached.:(
