not like you can't throw 5 nades at a time, and get an extra guard boost.

I've said it a billion times, throwing 5 nades is nothing.  Getting those 5 boosts is only a step further, and its not like the 5/4 nade boost split (leaving one at the door of course) is impossible.  Extra guard boosts to make it 11 or 12 plus a generally smooth run should give 21.

Runway 21 is more reasonable than half these other maxes there. 8o

and how would you find out if the path is lengthy enough for 10 boosts to be gotten optimally? might aswell just look for a secret underground path starting in the key room and at the end of it look up and press B to finish.

:rollin  @ wouters post. i completely agree. Maybe if 22 wasnt such a stretch you could start talking about 21, i cant see many people even achieving 22, let alone 21

Runway A 0:21 is cake compared to Silo SA 1:04, Bunker2 SA 0:43 and Statue A 2:17. ;)

I know I'm not really qualified to comment on nearly all of this stuff but would it be possible to use both the mine and the grenade on Surface 2 Agent? Perhaps using the grenade to boost and the mine for the comms dish thingy?

heheh yea man

The current strat needs TWO boosts to fail 50.  If you could get a nade on strafe, two boosts would become a whole lot more realistic.  There's also a theory tha nades can be thrown further than mines.  Who knows.

Anyways, 51 will stand until someone hits a 2 boost run or until someone pwns a nade throw.

Yeah you can play like Statue A a milion times to try get all the boosts you can on 00A but then you can play 00A a milion times too and get even more.

On my favourite levels I say...

Dam 0:52 - I want to think it's possible since there's still some crazy stuff to this, like Dan got 53 without a boost and the gate could have been faster. So yeah I'll get like two boosts on a perfect run some day and... :x  ok maybe I shouldn't even think about it.

Dam SA 1:16 - yeah, well if someone ties 1:17 I might get mad and stuff so who knows :p  

Dam 00A 1:57 - Well I think 1:58 could get annoying even, I almost, you know it'd 00A so I just.. hmm.. this is probably the least maxed still of the... eh don't know what more to say lets move on.

Aztec A 1:33 - lol well just I think so, just too much inconsistency.

Aztec SA 1:40 - too bad I don't think we'll go sub this, wtf maxes, oh right but just hmm, I'm not talking TAS yeah human MAX, just @#%$ you won't believe how hard it is to survive on a fast run without BA.

Aztec 00A 1:47 - Running with AR to the second room? that's only for SA, 00A doesn't have enough bullets, wtf Dam 52 and I don't think lower here, maybe this was a bad idea anyway, but really I think I might just try for 1:48 but not 1:47 so lol dunno.

Maybe one more random level hmm...

Control A 3:59 - there's some pushing the ending I think Bryans 4:00 was near perfect, oh this got boring I don't know what to say anymore, hope it wasn't boring to read.

These threads are meant to be looked at years later so I think this is a fair bump.  I was reading some old threads and there's some pretty interesting stuff in this one.

Look how intelligent I was when it came to GE speedrunning and maxes, even back then when I was only 16 years old.


for statue, whatever amount of boosts you can get on sa/00 you can still get on agent, since we're talking maxes here. so only idiots would make agent slower.

Haha tbh 115 and 154 are possible. These topics are always hilarious. I'd prolly be better in predicting times in the future than to know what is humanly maxed.
