Damn that 57 on 00A took like 20h      I got into some bad periods where I suddenly started feel that 58 speed was hard (got 58 x7 I think) backboosts, stucks, no sign of good Doak on good runs, 00A can really be a pain sometimes.

I kind of started moving on to other levels already, then suddenly tried again and felt really fast, was probably getting burned out before just playing and playing without getting anywhere. Pretty smooth run besides a stuck after warping the last door on that railing, good Trev.

Was really a crappy level for me for some time but now it's my second ever 300 pointer, had streets before.

Someone like Alex might still be better than me on this level though, if you watch our runs then you see that I needed pretty smooth runs for those 57s. I really found 47 on Agent easier than those 57s, I had good doak on both 57s btw, like 60% chanse with the technique I use (maybe) Bryans way.

Okay, I tried to upload my Cradle vid to like three different places (turboupload, yousendit, rapidshare), and all of them never brought up the next page.
Like, I'd find the file, hit Submit (Or upload), the status bar would display in the bottom of the window (meaning the file is uploading or trying to upload - BUT I was still on the same page).... But then after that nothing happens.  I just finished waiting for an hour and half on another upload attempt.
This sucks so much, I just want everyone to see it already. >X0
And I know the problem (see post in General). I should just go to work so I can get another computer, this one is beyond repair or would take days to do so.

my first caverns 103 was overshadowed by mousers 3 records in 3 days.  Look though, I posted it.  I was surprised I got it again to be honest.  Took maybe 1.5 hours or less.  Right strafe from the start helps me a lot.

On streets, I guess I must have had very good endings.  Those val leaves were crap.  I had many 13.9s earlier.  I've done 1:14 on agent with 3 boosts, so I guess it was all in my great strafing.

I'll probably be sending a tape out to someone in mid-january or so, when I get back to school.

Well what we're really waiting for is Michaels Cradle 00A 0:36, he has made his Depot 26, Cradle 35 and Runway SA 23 some time ago. We'll have to wait for Ryans vids as it seems, what else is there really? Just getfile someone if you haven't seen some of those I already mentioned, you know, Wouter, Brandon, I have those too.

EDIT: btw Michael, be careful with lowering the cursor on the mission completion screen before pressing A, you seem to be doing that in many vids. There's a risk you might press previous by misstake before showing the time, you wouldn't want anymore accidents like that Arch 16

Here's a new strat:

Do everything normal untill black room is clear.  Stand on open MF on the right side look down the hallway and fire at least 6 shots.  Switch to pp7 and close the MF, run back and shoot at the close guard to get his attention, go to glass emptying your pp7 clip.  Wait till MF closes, run to hide.  The close guard should run to the glass and the blast room guard to should be following.  Maybe this will make him open it.

About the Aztec strat, Your strat wont make any diffrence spider since you still have to wait for blast room guards to come which we normally do. To save any time at all we have to lure only 1 guard and that as soon as possible.

btw Ryan, If my strat doesn't work every time then you're doing something wrong.

for the aztec idea I think it should be tried, you don't need the extra exhaust bay guards to arrive, just to have them make extra lag for the close guard which hopefully makes it possible for him to open it, which would be faster.

as for s2 sa, lol @ 54, if the agent strat is done it should be at least 53.

The day before yesterday, I went on the boards and saw the new Elite prodigy Michael "MouserScribe" Kirkness posting a time that made me breathe: "Damn, this guy finally did a human time. This Surface I 2'09 shows that there are still some levels left where I have something to say - to him". Even if, I have to acknowledge, my poor 1'58 could be improved to 1'56. The day after - yesterday evening, to be precise - I had a look at the boards just as every day, and...also at the "New PR" topic. Man, I just realized I knew anything about life, and above all, I began to wonder seriously who this Mouser was. Today, when arriving I saw his name in the new WR topic, I tought "Is it 1'50?". Not at all, lost. But enough. I told to myself "Now I want to know."

I first thought of the AFD 2006, with Jon preparing it in advance, to say the least. Of course, it needed the help of a man called Michael Kirkness for real, but with times that just didn't match the reality.
I don't know why (actually I think I can find why...), this version didn't satisfied me as well.

I then tought of the greatest whoarding of all time, of a man that played GE a lot until today, and who lately discovered the elite. He found it funny to release his times one by one, making other people believe he was a newbie making wonderful progress...
Once again, this version of the facts didn't have my full approval: why would he have played so much if he didn't know the elite, and how would he have discovered all these strats? (cradle 00 for example). And if he knew the elite, why deprive himself of all these WR for so long?

Finally, I thought of Alex playing a big joke to everyone: a friend of him, Michael, had never heared of GE before this summer. When he saw that he began to get some World Records, Alex - and I don't know if it is the result of a bet lost or something else - just decided to "give" his new PR to this friend. The latter played the trick finely and all the vid stuff would be in reality Alex stuff, who definitely found it funnier to make times under his "new name".

But, in all this, it's not much to say that I'm not convinced - at all - in inventing stories to contend myself.

I finally decided to think that was "The Man with the Golden Hands", or maybe also "The Man who didn't care", because, I'm not the first to notice this: who here, can honestly overtape an Archives 16? Please, ask Alex if you don't know what this time means...

So if you're real MouserScribe, you must be the incarnation of some divinity of gaming, at least in your hands. Your progression is unbelievable (Doing a 1'51 after one day of training is...*no words left*), and even if I don't know exactly when you started to play, I dare to imagine you're one of the last here.

Henrick, are you able to do my strat?  I can't seem to get your pp7 close guard to work.  The idea is basically do that same strat but luring the blast room guard before hand without the close guard doing anything.  The blast room guard always stops on the MF where I fired the AR, this might not cut it.

This is another strat that I think should work:

Do the same strat above but wait for blast room guard to come around the corner, or close to, so that he sees when you run to the glass and will run to the glass too.  The idea is that the close guard will get to the glass faster than the blast room guard, much like you do with the normal strat but the closest guard is playing the roll of the second to closest guard, if that makes sense, cause the lead guard can open the glass before the others get there.

I caked a Depot 26 first try today, after not having played that level in a really long time.

Waffle, When you say that you can't get close guard to work do you mean that he doesn't go to the glass at all?
If he doesn't then you should make sure you do these things right:
1: You stand at the glass when alerting him.
2: You use PP7.
3: Mainframe is high enough when you shoot so he doesn't see you.
4: You immideadly leave glass when mainframe is fully closed or very near fully closed.

If you do all these things and it still doesn't work then i really don't know what's wrong.

About the strat, I see your point now even though we only speak about a second maybe. What i don't know though, Is exactly what role the second guard has in the opening process. There's nothing that says lag should make a diffrence, And i always thought more guards opens it more often becouse, There's more of them. Also, The exhaust room guards comes from a greater distance when they see you and therefor has a less exact "last-known-position".
But very well, I could try out your strat and see if i get any interresting results, though i doubt it.
