I think you can't actually run through the corner of that one hut.

And even if you did cut as close as possible to it, there's a 90% or higher chance of getting backed. At least in my experiences there is. I've tried that

And Mouser, Couldn't you draw the lines you said could get sub 1:50on S1 SA/00A? May be easier to see how it works on a map rather than some describtion.

I just drew a straight a line. It looks like it falls closer to the left side of the hut. But as you can see the runner distance is so long that the difference in the paths, (left or right side of hut) become really small, we're talking like .3 seconds max.

And with 50 there are 2 ways it can happen

-even more insane mine throw
-boost from KF7 guard before throw, then that guy I shot pulls a nade, you kill, and boost

I don't think a grenade works the same way a mine does, so the current throw wouldn't work. The 53 style one would.

I would have got MAD if another :57 came up, which I thought that this run was.

But omfg I should have had this hours ago. I've worn out the control stick so that I can barely turn fast anymore... Barely any missions allow for slow turning. There's Jungle, but I hate Jungle.

Now that I've pwned with a shitty controller I feel as if I can do anything at the moment..... But I can't, so I'll just go get some sleep.

Was pure 1.2 as well.

Was starting to have trouble with 1.1 so I gave up on it.

First 300 point level - for now!

I still think Henrik is whoarding, waiting for me to get the SA/00A WRs

But if he isn't well... I got some competing to do.

The only thing luck based on archives is the guard who opens the first door to the library.

nat isnt luck if you do it properly, unlike on agent. also double door strat is gay so dont use it.

which makes the level 97.8% skill or something LOL dont ask where that number came from

Streets requires booooooosts. aka completely random, aka hard^^

and archives speed is very cake so i disagree with anyone saying any wr is easier then 56, except 26 and 23. caverns 103 is luck not skill (boosts). actually id say 23 is harder even

I can cake depot 26 every 5 minutes
I can cake runway SA 23 every 20 minutes
I can get a caverns 103 in 2-3 hours
It took 1.5 hours to get two streets 156s

12 HOURS AND I STILL HAVE ARCHIVES 58s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RANDOMNESS MAKES LEVELS EASIER!!!!!!!!!!!

On a non related note, my personal computer (not this gay one I'm on) is fixed. I'll be on AIM more and crap. etc.

My :56 were only difficult because I had a gay controller in the first place...... Put your best archives stuff on whatever tape you're gonna send to me (if you do) and me and Alex can help.

That is, if you don't already have :57 already. Alex is 1.1CC and I'm 1.2. You'll get the best advice ever!

I have bad luck with boosts etc. 20? hours of caverns a and ive had 1 3:0 ratio ever. mostly 0:1/0:0/1:0 104s and the rest are 0:2/worse 105s

same applies to streets/etc

But yea. I just did a 58 on tape. There is only 1 noticeable bump. Nothing that could screw you out of a 56 on NTSC. The problem with my runs, is that I can't open the doors and go through them smoothly. I break strafe and slow down and stuff. On your 56s Alex, you have the most insane door openings and crap I've seen on 56. I don't know how you do it.

I will make a vid of that 58 tomorrow. Too many people doing gay things in the gaming room now.

I took like 10h for arch 57s

for sure one of my worst levels.

- beginning I do well like 1/4 runs

- guard in the way on 3/5 runs on that second door

- Screw up after first double doors like 2/5 runs

- Guard back boosts be or something else when trying to open door to nat, screw up there 2/5 runs

- Double doors not open 4/5 runs, I don't stand a chanse of getting trough smoothly without them open

- Can't get trough smootly one of those last doors I screw up 2/5 runs

- Got depressed now, don't even want to write rest $:\$

23 Happening every 20 minutes isn't really "On command" though

And it's only better now because :56 is becoming commonplace. Not so much when only Bryan and a few others had it because nobody else had the skill at the time to pull it off. You'll notice that this will happen to other records as time passes.

Get it on 00A now to maximize the number of :56s before :55 appears.

Which should be soon I think (Henrik!).

And I opened all the doors myself too.

I think if you can do that then you can get :55 with all the doors open. However for me, for sure my :56s were very high decimals so I need a new controller before I can go in for that.

I thought about something as well:
Maybe if you could get a grenade from a guard you could toss it at the box where you exit the room after getting the flight recorder. It blows up the one outside the room. With it gone you could maybe strafe without having to go around it.

I've actually gotten a nade on 00A :56 but I didn't even realize it. I saw the guard do the hand motion to pull it before I killed him but didn't think I actually picked it up. :lol

0:56s are in general pretty easy, it's not letting your nerves get to you that is the hard part.

I managed to sneek out 0:56s based on insane safe jumps (something I find myself very good at, jumpstarting in general), giving me some leeway in the general run. I did 56 1.2 standard style, movements are insane but I could do it.

I would say 1:56s are harder based on the fact that I have always had a problem with strictly strafing levels. I am probably the worst pure strafer in the top 10, notice that most of my points are on complicated levels. Bunker 1 00A, Silo 00A, Control 00A, Caverns 00A...all good examples.

I'd play more archives sa and 00, but there are some problems:

1)I cruise
2)Having to turn off cruise just for Mishkin is annoying
3)"cruise-turning" for Mishkin is stupid

which leads me to only three solutions:

1)Learn 1.2
2)Suck it up
3)Hack
