How can you get 58 sa so fast, and not be able to "cake" at least 59 00, hell it should be 58 "caked". 00 isn't that much harder at all, prolly the easyest switch from sa to 00/same amount of objectives in the game.

I never cake times. Almost all my pr's are results of 5-10+ hours of playing. That 58 on SA took about 8 hours to get even though i was mostly aiming for a 59.

Edit: Im extremly near to give up this level after those events:

Had a run that was really nice and i was just hoping "come on Doak, Be there now". To my suprise, He was there!
Everything went fine until i was gonna throw the first mine, Of course i miss it(Right strafe sucks)!

I keep playing while hating myself for that and then like 20 mins later i get one of those runs again where Doak is there. I hated myself so much from last time i was determined not to @#%$ it up this time. So i pause in front of the door, Gets boosted like a meter away. Of course i thought, No problem, Just a little bit of right strafe and then decode it.

So what happens? As i press "Z" i get backboosted...Of course game doesn't react to my button pressing. I run back again and press "Z" again...Backboosted again!

Cavs 00A was a breeze compared to this...

You should test it sometime Graham since you've got both systems and 1:51's on PAL.

Yeah I know Henrik... I remember I was even trying for 1:50's on PAL with a reasonable hope of actually getting them, so if NTSC is that much faster then 1:50's should be "cake". I guess I'll have to try it properly, but in 30 minutes yesterday, I was only doing 1:51 speed on runs which I'd have thought were probably good enough for 1:51 on PAL, which made me wonder how big a difference there actually was.

About 40 minutes of play I managed two 0:49 depot SA fails without trainshots and one 0:48.

I'm told the train shot means 2.x seconds saved and 0:47 is a 75 point time, which would be a little different from the 0 pointers I have on, oooh.... 58 of the stages.

Have to stick with the hundred 0:51's I got $:\$

ok depot 00 isn't nearly as easy as sa, though once i complete a run i will have a new time. seriously, i can miss the train shot and fail 55, which is better than my 56.. but yeah, the breakdown is like :

Depot 00 53 x 6?
Depot 00 54 x a lot
Depot 00 55 x infinity

my target is 54, but i can probably do that without train shot, so 53 would probably be a cooler target. and yeah i'm taping, you bastards.

405 -glass strat, might be almost legit
407 -randy way, legit speed for nat

Also had a 410 death time just now, she completed, so i might have pr'd, i had a 4 out fo 6 chance i could have pr'd, had i not died.

404 -glass/nat died. Seemed legit.
A black hat guard threw a nade at me and i went right thru it on way out of the drone room, was pretty cool, i saw the explosion figured i would die. :lol

also failed a couple 1:38's and @#%$, i had this one run where i shot the second camera through teh cabin AFTER hitting the third camera, i still got it on tape so i'll throw that up next time i get more vids up.

I didn't know you could shoot the 2nd camera from the other side of the hut like that... that could be easier to do maybe than from the 1st camera side.

EDIT: You'd also be in left strafe to prime up the nade without having to do a dumb strafe change.

We should be doing the tree line all in left anyway as hard as it is.

I've tried what you were talking about, Bryan. It seems quite a bit harder, but that might change with good practice. And it's funny that you mention strafe changes... in a level that's about 20 seconds off the max, we're worrying about a strafe change. :lol

If 3 boosts 23 on SA is crazy then how crazy is it to get it twice? (I taped over first one but i'll capture this one instead)

Well this levels timer is totally freaked up. I've gotten tons of failed 24's with 4 boosts and then i get 23 with 3 boosts? It just doesn't make sense.

Edit: Captured it, Horrible quality though. No idea how to fix it.

It makes complete sense if you consider that not all the boosts are the same (like how solid they boost in the right direction) as well as not being exact on the strafing.

Can't answer your question, but I know Pascal claimed 3-boost 23s on agent.

Also I did some fails today:
Depot SA 0:43 x a bunch (one with A complete but missed key)
Depot SA 0:45* - missed ts
Control A 4:00 - jumped into elevator timing for a 17 end. A bit ballsy but still within the limits of completion.
Control SA 4:15 - did like an 18.5ish end, Nat didn't exit.
Frigate 00 1:11 x a bunch

Brandon, I finally got my power cord back! I'm trying to do the WR on Dam again. I'm already up to 00:57 in a matter of 10 minutes. My talent's coming back. I'm also mastering the lock shot a bit better than I did.

Control SA 4:13* (timed an 18 ending, might have been very high 17)

Also had a death on Control SA when I was running toward the last elevator. All obectives completed and the time of death was 4:16. Likely was 4:14 or 4:13 had I survived.
