When did you ever have first untied, Jim? Bryan did 24 before you did (on 9/5... yours was 9/19). And when you got 108 you were still just tied with Wouter.

Bryan had 107 when Jim had 23, so that would have made them tied.

Was that really the oldest record? I think so, not sure...What's the oldest one now? 1:14?

1:14 wasn't the oldest. I could be wrong, but I think Runway SA 0:23 is the oldest. Caverns 1:03 is old too, as is Frigate 24.

with dan getting his 113 a few days ago, we are at 1:17:02 overall time. How many more days until we break the imossible barrier of 1:17:02?

I believe end of July-mid August.

I'd say before July it will be done.  Frigate 00A and Aztec 00A suck enough where one of them is bound to be beaten by enough.

Nah, 1:16:59 will be MUCH sooner than that. My primary GE goals right now are Frigate 00 1:11 and Dam 00 1:59 (3 sec cut total), then factor in whatever others might accomplish. Don't forget Surface 2 00, Bryan. I say early June at the latest.

*Agrees*

I'd say 17:00 before next Tuesday, Then the last second sometime in the 2 weeks after that.

All 3 secs by Dan of course :p

"Don't forget Surface 2 00"

That's what I've been thinking for years.  Seriously, when's someone finally going to do the 2nd camera through hut with a good-decent (doesn't have to be great) rest of the run.

It doesn't save that much, maybe 2 seconds if done almost perfectly.

The time might only be close to the WR, but I'd still just like to see the effort, I think this has always been an under-played level, maybe the most.

There is no consistency with shooting that camera through the hut. And besides, as Dan said, it doesn't save a whole lot of time when you waste a ton of bullets on it.

WOUTER RULES!

I was very happy to see "Wouter Jansen" as last post, specifically for the WR topic.  Will be fun to write the next WR site write-up with a Wouter WR in there.  Hopefully more will show up, though I won't be expecting them.

And great run, very quick away from the key table and silky-smooth strafework through the house and to the finish.

Thanks, guys! =)

9 0:44s before 0:43. Quite a few failed 0:43s where obj a (sometimes also obj c) were failed. 1 failed 0:43 where I only failed obj C (how stupid..) Quite a lot of 43 speed runs where I missed the trainshot, indeed. I completed 1 0:45 missing the trainshot, also failed 1 0:45 (obj a).
obj A completed about once an hour on average (little guess, could be a bit more).

Now I'll just be waiting until someone sees the little thing I added to my run to make it more fun perhaps (if you know what to pay attention to). I wonder who will catch it first time seeing it. I even wonder who will catch it first :p

Thomas, how could you? please watch more of my NTSC videos.

either way, no correct answer has been posted so far, although about 4 people know it now. I'd rather want someone else but those 4 to post the correct answer though! Someone that found it out all on his own.

In answer to the PR topic questions about surface 1:

Basically the 1:49 I mentioned needs insane boosting and solid strafing and probably on 00 Agent. I did have a failed run with 7 boosts and some very minor mistakes that was low 1:50 pace (got stuck on guard at bottom of stairs, so I don't know for sure). Btw, I don't think you're runs were too far off 1:50 Wouter. Basically just get the lines right between buildings without breaking lookdown and no more than 1 backboost and 1:50 should come. Also with the GL I think it does more harm than good because you are looking up and slowing down with lag.

EDIT: forgot to mention, Wouter, I used cruise, I can't use 1.2. There is no difference or advantage imo of using 1.2 over cruise on this level though.

S1 is probably the most important level to use lookdown on, along with streets.

I think lookup would be even better to use for surface. At least for the long stretch between 2nd and 3rd hut.
