Here are the emails I have heard back from Mr. W as final word
Hi Nathan,
We are good to go on August 15 (Thursday pm) through August 18 (Monday afternoon). People should plan to arrive no earlier than noon on Thursday and depart no later than 4pm on Monday. The fee per person will be $75 again this year.
Mrs W and I will be there when you arrive but we will have to leave on Sunday for a hike in the Smokey Mountains. Drew will be with you from Thursday evening (he's coming after work) until the last departure on Monday. People should plan transportation (ride shares, rental cars) on their own. We will try to help with emergencies like we did for you and David last year but we're hoping that isn't necessary.
The guidelines are the same as last year....
1. All attendees need to be 18 or older
2. No alcoholic beverage allowed. We will provide water, juice, and soft drinks.
3. No smoking on the property
The group was terrific last year. Very neat, polite, and easy to accommodate.
Looking forward to seeing you this summer.
Regards,
Mr W
AND
We're fine with Wednesday evening through Sunday evening. I talked to Drew and he is okay with it as well. The group will definitely have to plan to leave late Sunday afternoon since we will be on our way to Tennessee and Drew will need to head back to Washington for work the next morning.
The $75 covers food, beverages, boat gas, and snacks as it did last year.
We would like to stay at 18 as a minimum age. I believe the average age last year was probably 25 with several over 30. Introducing younger than 18 into the mix starts to stretch the age spread and could introduce maturity issues. After all, we have to draw a line somewhere and the young man in question will have next year to look forward to.
Look forward to working with you
Regards,
Mr W
