Ngamer's Game Six Commentary

FIRST QUARTER

- hey hey, pack lives up to his name!  what an awesome start.
- whooo, going for it on 4th and short.  that's what I love to see!
- oh man, great block by Shade on that long Raven run
- omg, Raven weaving in and out of traffic on that long burst.  I could almost cry right now.
- TD!  Bonebreaker is so clutch in short distance situations.  we should go to him more often with 3 yards or less.
- golly, this is flat out defensive domination.
- a sack?  a sack?!  dang, we weren't supposed to let that happen.  and even more surprising is that octo got beat.
- cool, Matis plays for us now.
- wowza, another 3 and out.  we may hold them under 20 yards this game!
- Shade makes a ton of difficult catches, but then drops balls like this one.  hmm....
- oh, I almost tricked that guy into fielding it on the 2.  so close!
- what the crap happened to Cara Banga there?  can't afford wiffs like that!
- stuffed them on 3rd and 1.  that's what it's all about!

SECOND QUARTER (7-0 Sea Team)
- oh man, that 15 yard scamper by Raven may have been the rush of the year.
- Shade's our best receiver, but N. Blood has the best hands on the team IMO.  some nice yards after the catch this drive too!
- see what I mean?  need to throw at the OTHER Blood!  but eh, Paddy Jo seems to have a habit of throwing hard to catch balls.
- ack, can't believe Goose missed from only 34.  that's really surprising.
- Chompski?  more like Chumpski!  I can't believe Comet AND drag let themselves be blocked off by a single WR on that run
- son of a- what is that, Raven's third fumble?  for pete's sake Neo, upgrade those hands!
- bah, two drops in 3 passes.  good thing we can rely on Ng's booming leg to save the field position.
- what the devil, another sack!  and he busted past two of our best O-linemen!
- gosh, almost sacked from three angles, and then nearly threw a long pick.  this team's defensive intensity really has shocked me so far.
- shoot, they made that FG.  thought we might be able to force them to run out the clock.  oh well, still have the lead.

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (7-3 Sea Team)
- that's cool, got to receive two kicksoffs in a row.
- OH FOR CRAP'S SAKE RAVEN
- ugh, and now they're moving the ball on us.  can't blame the D, they've been on the field all game.
- thank goodness.  I would have thrown a brick through Neo's monitor if he had made that.
- allowing a 9 yard pass on third and 10?  that's the Sea Team I know and love!
- 40 yards on that Ng punt, what a stud!
- oh my stars, yet another huge run by Raven.  if only he could hold on to the ball, we'd be talking about an MVP candidate here!
- missed?  MISSED?  Gooooooooooooooose!

FOURTH QUARTER (7-3 Sea Team still)
- good, they miss another.  don't even know why they were trying from 44 yards out.
- we can't afford to turn this right back over... the D is nearing exhaustion and we're somehow still only up 4 points.
- great Ng punt pins them back!  and then- what's this, a fumble?  hooray, finally a break goes our way!
- ugh, can't believe we didn't go on 4th and inches.  still, it's a net field position gain of 25 yards or so, plus we ate a minute off the clock.
- no.  NO.  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.  jeez, just when everything was looking in our favor, and I'd just thought to myself "whew, good thing we don't give up the big play, or this could be dangerous."  I don't blame pack for playing him that aggressive; I DO blame pack and Infil for not having the wheels to run him down that entire time!
- for heaven's sake, more important 3rd down of the game results in yet another sack.  I can't believe the O line is being man-handled like this.
- legendary punt by Ng goes right over the returner's head!  the first true momentum-changer of the season IMO... now prove me right by forcing this 3 and out guys!
- YES.  Infil almost makes up for his blunder earlier by coming up with the big stop on 3rd down.  ALMOST.
- winning drive is well under way now.  just take your time guys, we can do it if we keep throwing.
- AHHHH.  props to Morter for throwing that away, would have been a game-ending sack.
- shoot, that was the correct play call, and Shade had his man beat down the side of the field, but Morter just doesn't have the arm strength needed to get it to him.
- and for the first time all season, time runs out on the Elite Sea Team!

FINAL SCORE: 10-7 Bandits

Today's Anti-Soggy Game Ball Goes To: Destiny Hope Goose

There's plenty of blame to go around tonight, but frankly we never should have been in a position to fall behind with one score.  I still feel that Goose is the best kicker in the conference, but I must admit that the last two weeks have really shaken my confidence.

I know, I don't understand wtf is going on. I've only been improving vision and I've made 40+ yarders before so it's very confusing to me.

kickers need vision and confidence

for his level goose already has good confidence so working vision is fine - especially as it is rather low atm

Ngamer's Game Seven Analysis

- well, I'm just hoping we can keep this one semi-competitive.  I do think we're a good team, but we never seem able to put everything together and really show it.  we'll see if we finally pull it off today...
- I like that we get to start on D again
- nice, a strong stand to force the 3 and out!  now let's put a drive together to keep that stellar D rested.
- cool to see that Raven's still got his legs under him.  now keep holding onto the ball!
- bah, 3 and out.  oh well, here comes a great punt.
- wow, really boomed that one!  and, uh... uh... uh... what the CRAP?  what are you doing over there Dick Hatch, picking daisies?  for heaven's sake!
- ugh, part of holding on to the ball is catching it in the first place, Raven!
- the junk?  there was a big gap in our coverage to the right side there again.  this is too dangerous for my tastes.
- on the positive side, our D must be well-rested by now, thanks to all these blunders keeping them off the field for a while.
- ohhh, nice forced fumble.  our D is trying its best to keep us in this game!
- this punter is not looking good.  lucky for him our punt blocking is even more awful tonight.
- oh WOW, another Raven fumble.  I wish I could say I was surprised.
- excellent run by their RB there, making really good use of the WR blocking down the field.
- what the junk Hatchet, you can't get beat in open space like that.
- alright, need to force this FG to give us some hope.
- whoo, good stand!  D still doing all it can to keep us competitive.
- awesome grab by N Blood- all that hands work he's doing has paid off.
- wow, I spoke too soon!
- ugh, and we gain 9.5 when we need 10.  that's how it's been all year for us on offense.

SECOND QUARTER (10-0 Stars)
- gracious sakes alive, this Tinker Ball is a great runner.  and what blocking, too...
- yikes, not only was pack beat on the coverage, the guy spins past him like he's standign still.
- drag making a play on a ball?  now I've seen everything!
- crud, and then they hit a FG from 36 out no sweat.  doesn't this team have ANY weak spots?
- heck of a return there; good blocking for Comet all around.
- hate to see a three and out, but Morter was smart just to get rid of that one.
- come on exhausted defense, keep playing your hearts out!
- Xavier deflects another!  well, bite my tongue.
- another piece of good work by the D.  too bad our anemic offense has to start out so backed up once again though.
- OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE.  I'm sorry, I realize our O is lacking in playmakers, but it's time for Raven to ride the bench.  we just can't afford mistakes like this.
- I can't believe our D comes back off 0 rest and still forces the FG there.  they really do deserve all the credit in the world; what a great unit.
- time to whip up some 2 minute offense, whoo hoo!
- Raven, catching a ball?  *Bronx cheer goes up*
- well shoot, that was a decent drive after all.  too bad we ran out of time!
- hooooray, Goose nails from 43!  not many kickers could have pulled that off.

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (16-3 Stars)
- whoo, another very good Comet return.  all things considered, being down only 13 after such a generally terrible half isn't really so bad.
- and now we've carried over that offense into the second half.  come on guys...
- shoot, was hoping to get a little closer to give Goose's leg another try.
- niiiiice tackle by pack there.  could have been a big gainer without that.
- and drag breaks up another one!  he must be taking lessons with Comet.
- offense gets it back with solid position.  now put something on the board!
- well now!  Paddy Jo leading a pretty good looking drive here.
- okay Goose, punch this through...
- atta boy!  from 31, another quality kick!
- ooooooooh man.  no one has allowed a kickoff returned for a TD all year in our division, I can't believe we were nearly the first.
- wow, Ladies Man.  worse defensive play of the season?  quite possibly.
- dang.  can't blame the D too much, being put in such a bad position, but still a shame to allow the score there.
- whoa, Smooth almost got around the corner there.  that would have been something.
- what a booming punt to get that into the endzone!

FOURTH QUARTER (23-6 Stars)
- bah, I thought we could force a 3 and out with them pinned back so far, but no, here's a big drive being put together.  this will be the nail in our coffin if we don't turn it around quick.
- WHAT IN THE BLUE BLUE KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS WAS THAT?  I've never seen our defense made to look so foolish.  I understand they've been on the field too long, but come on, we looked like a bunch of clowns out there!
- Rolande allows the gunner to blow right by him on coverage duty. at least play with some heart guys.
- dang it Catchy, that could have been the breakout play we've needed all night.
-  silver lining:  Ng's Leg is still fresh and active despite all the overuse.
- time for the defensive unit to show some pride and shut them down once more.
- just because you're a Ladies Man doesn't mean you have a tackle like a 12 year old girl.
- hmmm, we're moving the ball pretty good in the last 3 minutes here.  maybe they've pulled their defensive starters?
- oh HO, fantastic grab by Axel!
- ....oh for pete's sake.  such a promising drive, then throw into the hands of a LINEMAN?  that's how it's been going all game though.
- in situations like this where we know they're going to try running out the clock, do we have the ability to put more men in the box?
- wow, just WOW.  and I thought I was ashamed five minutes ago, when we had only TWO missed tackles on a play.

FINAL SCORE: 30-6 Stars

The anti-Soggy Sea Team Game Ball for tonight goes to... Ladies Man.  Ravenloft was a contender as well, with his fumbles helping take the wind out of our sails early on, but LM's poor coverage and clownish tackling was a bigger letdown, since the defensive was otherwise solid (until the end of the game when they were dead tired and fell apart).

If there hadn't been a kickoff return before, there must have been one today. I looked at the league stats after the game today and saw that there had been 1 kick return TD and 1 punt return TD (the one we gave up today).

I really like your writeups, Jon. We seem to see a lot of the same things. When I go away on Sunday, I'll miss at least 2 games, and I don't know whether I'll go back and watch them when I get home. It's nice to know I can read your play by play and not miss a thing!

ugh I could've scored if I had caught that (seemed like a very tough pass to catch though) . That punt return was ridic--ng passed five guys on his way to the punt returner. That should never happen.

Ladies Man has currently 10.75 tackling... which is pathetic! Next level up all points should go there if it's not obvious.

You need to be training in such a way that your energy is near 100 for each game. So youll have to lower your intensity a bit.

Ive sent you a little raise though

My energy is usually in the 90s when it comes to game time. I'm only training "normal" for now, so if it ends up getting too low, I'll switch to relaxed for a day or two.

Play intensity should always be on hard, training intensity should be set so you always end up with 100 before a game. If you still cant reach 100 energy before a game you should put points into stamina.

Ngamer's Game Eight Commentary

- I don't get it... how is it that was always start on defense?  not that I mind (in fact I prefer it this way), but it seems kind of odd.
- "David Wright"?  and I thought naming your players after NFLers was boring!
- excellent knockdown by Dent there to force the 3 and out.  maybe he'll be today's Comet of the backfield?
- Shade can eat single coverage alive.  keep feeding him!
- wow, Raven really winding and grinding up on that long run.  I'm sure he's determined to make an impact today, wash the bad taste of the last two games out of his mouth.
- Shade beats his man again!  ok Sea Team, need some points out of this drive to set the tone for the day.
- aww, a half yard shy of the FD.  no worries though, Goose will boot this right through.
- atta boy!  we're a team that really needs to force the opposition to play from behind, so I'm liking our chances now.
- ha, Shade devours two blockers to force another 3 and out.
- N. Blood even pulls them down after deflections.  that's why he's got the best hands in the conference!
- 3 and out?  not a problem; here comes a booming SuperLeg kick!
- 38 yards, what a rocket for a leg that guy has!
- haha, Shade destroys the O line twice in a row to force yet another 3 and out.  making a serious case for today's Game Ball!
- I love this first down rushing we've got going on.  but urrrk, half yard short of the FD again.
- whoa nelly, another booming missile off the leg of Ng!
- Dent makes another great play on the ball.  he IS today's Comet.

SECOND QUARTER (3-0 Sea Team)
- potential game-saving tackle by... Ladies Man?  shocking!
- shoot, our D is getting worn down on this long drive.  we'll have to answer with one of our own to get them back up to speed.
- what a terrible angle Roids took there; nearly cost us the TD.
- yikes!  despite forcing three straight 3 and outs, we're suddenly behind by 4!
- fantastic return by Comet on that kickoff; best of the season for sure.
- son of a... if we're not going to be running on third and short (a mistake), at LEAST don't try passing to the HB out of the backfield!
- hooray, D comes up big with a 3 and out despite hardly getting any breather.
- yet another great return.  wow, thought drag was going all the way there for a sec!
- QB claims he has our offense set to "throw to the running back 1% of the time."  I think he may have mistook that for 100% of the time!  on the plus side, it's worked out these last two plays.
- whoo hoooo, not only do we rush up the gut on third and short, but the blocking is so great it turns into a TD!  way to go Sea Team!
- you can count on the D to force a 3 and out after a long offensive drive.  it's almost like clockwork.
- UGH, half yard short on the FD AGAIN.  why did Shade come off his block there to allow that?
- that's the second or third tackle drag has broken today.  our return game continues to impress.
- whoa, dangerous pass there Paddy Jo.  that one could have been a pick 6.
- no worries about the 3 and out; SuperLeg's massive quads pin the Tunas way back with only 90 seconds remaining.
- Comet didn't just knock that down, he ripped it out of the WRs hands!
- speak of the devil; drag blows by another guy on this return.
- no shame on Goose for missing such a long one with time winding down.  what a dominating half, aside from that one drive!

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (10-7 Sea Team)
- do my eyes deceive me?  Q. Blood getting into the action?
- ouch, what a huge hole they opened up on that run.  Roids was way out of position there.
- glad to see the D stiffen and shut down that drive... was looking bad for a minute there.
- holy crap, we gained a half yard more than we needed for once!  alert the press!
- Quite Blood having the game of his young life!  that pass was all about the O line though; Paddy Jo got halfway through War and Peace before he finally released the ball.
- surprised Moterback is still on the bench, but ah well, Paddy's got the O clicking right now.  I thought for a moment Axel was going to break that one all the way!
- please stop passing to the HBs please!
- goodness, can't believe Shade pulled down such a well-defended pass!
- and Goose knocks it through!  more importantly though, that huge drive is going to allow our D to fire on all cylinders here to round out the game.

FOURTH QUARTER (13-7 Sea Team)
- this wasn't Quite the Blood I was thinking would take over this game!
- oh man, Ng boots it over that poor sap's head, and then BeefSteak snaps him in half!  what a phenomenal game for our special teams.
- we've significantly outplayed the opponent on every side of the ball today, and yet we find ourselves only one big play away from falling back behind.  I don't understand why this always happens to us...
- oh man, and no sooner than I say that they bust a big one to get into scoring range.
- what the- Jimbo forces a fumble to end the threat!
- uuuurk, but we take no time off the clock and give it right back where they started.
- they're ripping right through our tired out defense, ahhhh.
- shoot!  Nari's forced fumble falls back into their hands.
- they drop the ball, but that wouldn't have been a FD anyways.  FG time?
- punches in the chip shot FG, but that's just fine, they remain a score away from going ahead/tying.
- now for a clock-eating drive!
- oh gracious- my heart stopped when that ball popped out.  way to be Johnny on the Spot, Huckleberry!
- hmmmm, no biggie on that INT, we were about to turn the ball over anyways.
- yesssssss, about time someone else comes up inches short on a FD attempt.
- wow, gutsy run by SZ to reach the sticks and keep that clock ticking.
- excellent decision to run on third and long and leave them with only 8 seconds or so to work their offense.
- and the defense holds for the last two plays!  hooooooooray Sea Team!

FINAL SCORE: 13-10 Sea Team

Today's Soggy Sea Team Game Ball goes to... Quite BloodE!  He finally gets out of the Bloody Shadow with four receptions, several of them clutch grabs that kept drives alive.

Ngamer's Game Nine Commentary

- whoa, not only a new PR, that's a perfect kickoff from Goose, all the way to the 1!  give that man a bonus.
- ...well now, can't say I was expecting that.  why is drag out in single coverage at all, let alone single coverage against TWO WRs?  thank heavens Come has some speed to keep them off the board.
- good golly, Hasse and Scoreoff were stonewalled there, and Roids was useless backing them up.  I've never seen our D man-handled like this when at full energy.
- wow, just wow.  the Sea Team can do alot of things, but "win in a shootout" isn't one of them.  we'd better hope that was just a freak occurence.
- 3 and out?  after surrendering a drive like THAT?  this could get ugly.
- or not, thanks to Ng's game-changing miracle leg!
- yikes, even there the WR had broken free of coverage and had the FD if he hadn't dropped the ball.  got lucky there; need to get a solid drive in now to return our confidence.
- I realize N. Blood's a prime target, but dang it Morterback, no need to throw in his direction 5 times in a row!  (at least, not when you only complete it once)
- ohhh, great work punching that ball out Nari.
- wowza, Comet comes off of a block to destroy the RB on the sideline.  if only we had two Comets and 0 drags on this squad!
- whew, good knockdown Dent.  now stuff them again, while they're still in tough FG range!
- crap.  how come other teams seem to always get the FD by an inch, while we come up an inch short?
- excellent stop by Scorecoff; was a TD if he got past.

SECOND QUARTER (7-0 Wiz)

- well I guess I should be pleased that the D stiffened to limit the damage to 3 points.  but I'm not.  the Sea Team wasn't built to play from 10 down!
- hey now, bite my tongue!  N. Blood with a little grab over the middle that somehow turns into a huge gainer when the safety falls down or something.  and then, wow, who knew NB had such huge wheels?
- hm, doing an effective job stopping the run, just need our defensive secondary to step it up a little.
- UGH, Raven stopped dead on two runs up the gut when only a couple yards were needed.  I wish we would go to SZ more often in that situation.
- dropped pass saves our D's bacon once again.  we'll take it!
- whoa nelly, Raven's best run of the season perhaps!  saw there was nothing up the middle, bounced it outside, and then avoided the saftey over the middle to pick up extra yardage.
- ack!  that was a 60 yard TD if Paddy could have put that pass on the money!
- shoot, he strong-armed the last, and now throws a duck on what would have been a big gainer to Shade with a little air under it.
- oh ho, they drop yet another ball on what would have been the FD.  on the plus side, our run D has been superb ever since that opening drive.
- gah, another solid drive that's going to end up being wasted because we're out of clock!  I can't believe how often this happens to us.
- couldn't we at least have tried the 47 yard FG?  even at a 1% chance it would have been better than trying that long pass.

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (10-7 Wiz)
- whoa, what awareness from Shade to come off his block and fall on the ball after it popped out.  that's why hes a Pro Bowler IMO.
- I like how Ladies Man gets credit for the "deflection" when the ball was three yards behind the WR.  mor lik "dropped INT", mi rite?
- alright, time to get the offense back on track like it was before that Smooth cough-up.
- has passing to the HB ever been a good idea?  EVER?
- UGH, and here's another drive stopped by a fumble!
- stop the run on first, stop it again on second, deny the pass on third.  it's repetive, but I love watching it every time!
- oh crap, punted down to the 2!  what a terrible decision by drag!
- oh jeeze Q. Blood... you can afford to drop 2nd down passes at midfield, but not when we're backed up at our own 6!
- ...ok, now I'd like you to just stop dropping them altogether.
- oh my, can't believe Stetch came down with that ball off the deflection.  still a yard short, but that's ok, the point of that drive was just to escape the shadow of our goalposts.
- whoa, what a terrible pass by their backup QB.  but I guess that's to be expected; he's a Manning!
- hoho, another ugly pass kills the drive and forces the...
- missed FG!  super duper, let's get that offense back rolling.

FOURTH QUARTER (10-7 Wiz)
- both Morter and Paddy are consistently threading the needle on tight passes to keep drives alive.  regardless of the outcome, this will go down as the best QB performance of the season in my mind.
- well now, a RB pass that actually picked up some yards.  guess there's a first time for everything.
- haha, there we go again!  an almost impossible pass, but Morter somehow magically puts it into Shade's hands.  ok Sea Team, need points now!
- N. Blood, stop doing your best Q. Blood impression!  get those hands up!
- dang it all, drive dies while still in a difficult FG range for Goose.  come on Mileeeeeeey...
- hoooooo ray, nails it from 36 out!  give that girl another raise!
- huh, what was with McBeef standing on the sideline during that kickoff coverage?  weird...
- stopped the FD run, stopped the 2D run, and... denied the 3D pass!  just like clockwork!
- rushing SZ up the middle when only inches are needed.  love to see that!
- why is this Manning guy getting all their touches in cruch time?  what happened to their good QB who was torching us in the first quarter?
- the perfect play call for 3rd and short, but I nearly died when SZ coughed that up!  what a rollercoaster ride this game has been.
- there we go again, Paddy connecting to Shade despite triple coverage!  I can hardly believe how well our passing game is clicking.
- drive stalled out just short of the game-winning FG, but no matter.  we can count on our D to give us the ball back with good position in time for one last drive.
- uhhhh... then again...
- oh wow, Nari so close to the sack; I'd have had to kill drag if he had allowed a prayer of a pass like that get over his head for the TD.
- wish we weren't running when we have only 70 seconds to drive 70 yards.

OVERTIME (10-10 tie)
- hey, we won the overtime coin flip, awesome.
- Ng's booming leg assures a victory in any field position war!
- yeessssssss, finally someone else comes up inches short on a big FD.
- fantastic blocking on that punt return.
- yes!  YES!  Shade beats his man down the right side for a 50 yard TD; there's the big play offense we'd been looking for all season!
- my, that was kind of rude of us to kick the PAT after we'd already won the game.  I doubt the Wiz even came out onto the field to defend against it!

Today's Soggy Sea Team Game Ball goes to... Shade!  There are lots of other very good choices, including Paddy, Morter, and Goose, but what puts Shade over the top was that in addition to his incredible receiving day, he potentially saved the game by coming of his block to fall on that football after the big fumble.

Ngamer's Game Ten Analysis

- Scorecoff reaches through two blockers to make the tackle.  what a man's man.
- 2 first downs this drive?  we were only supposed to give up two all game!
- Roids is such a weird player.  he's always in the middle of the action, yet he seems to always take the wrong angle to the ball and somehow miss making the play.  that's the second time this drive he's done it.
- ugh, nothing worse that giving a 7 yard cushion on 3rd and 6.
- bah, and drag gets beat in the endzone for the score.  can't we EVER play a non-nailbiter?
- who's a freight train when they get the ball over the middle, bowling over DBs right and left?  Not Blood, that's who!
- whoo, and now Raven shots through the line like a bullet.  maybe our offense can finally get on track against this team.
- oh for heaven's... thank goodness for N.B., making a strong case for the game ball already by stopping Raven's attempt to cough that drive away
- well now, Melk's certainly trying to make up for it at least; that was the best broken tackle of the year so far.
- wow, Swaine/Gwen/NB opened up a hole so big you could have rode Jimbo through it!  and just like that the game's tied back up.
- slick work, the D forces the 3 and out.  it's like I said, get them rested with a long offensive drive beforehand, and you can always count on the D to play shutdown ball.
- this is turning into a potentially historic night for N. Blood
- man, he even pulls it down off deflections!
- and the freak show continues!  what a beautiful line he took on that run, gained a ton more yards that way.

SECOND QUARTER (7-7 Sea Team)

- haha, excellent run by Raven and an awesome block from Shade to spring him.  sure feels good to finally have that offense firing on all cylinders!
- well-rested D strikes back.  got to love it.
- good golly, these DBs are being beaten like drums.  clearly our great QB play last game was no fluke.
- this defensive backfield can't cover, tackle, run, knocks balls down... I was wondering how they'd only won 2 games after that opening drive.  now I know.
- whoa nelly, that pass from Paddy was way out in front of Shade, can't believe he came down with it for the touch.
- what a monsterous D-line we have.  they triple-teamed Scorecoff on a right to the right, so Hasse, who was getting a mere DOUBLE team, reached out and pulled down the runner.
- oh ho, now Brian, Hasse, AND Nari all break free to nearly sack him.
- Bonebreaker?  more like Tacklebreaker!
- and finally a drive stalls out.  let's watch this missile off Ng's well-rested Leg.
- KABOOM!  you could shoot down incoming nuclear warheads with that thing!
- ehh, he's given up a couple passes, but I've got to admit drag's having a solid game overall.
- what in the... The BloodE Show rolls on, but this time it's Q who rolls over defenders while rumbling, bumbling, stumbling into the end zone.  what a massacre!
- Goose's leg is shot from all the kicking off he's doing.  I can't blame him.
- cool, we dropped seven guys into deep coverage and gave them the underneath pass since we knew it would eat up the whole clock.  what good coaching.

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (28-7 Sea Team)
- not only was that first half a bloody beatdown, but we get the ball again to start this off.  this should go from ugly to uglier pretty quick.
- oh my, they managed to bat down two passes in a row.  but I knew lightning couldn't strike thrice!
- we've been flat out fantastic on third down tonight.
- the hole wasn't as huge that time, but it didn't matter; Raven was through it and into the second level in the blink of an eye, and then into the end zone before the D even had a chance to react.
- they say the best defense is a good offense.  we haven't been in any position to judge that rule of thumb until tonight, but now that we're experiencing it... the idea holds water, to say the least!
- Gwen and Q Blood both come off the guy they're double-teaming and allow him to make the tackle for a loss.  I know this is a blowout, but come on guys, keep your heads in the game!
- ha, Moose sidesteps the CB to scamper for an extra 10 yards.  it's just men against boys out there tonight.
- and we march down for yet another easy score.  after a game like this I wish we had an Elite Fantasy league!
- a missed tackled in coverage by Ladies Man nearly allows for a cheap touchdown.  dang it all, didn't we chew that guy out for having 0 tackle upgrades last week?
- fantastic work by Come to deflect what looked like a sure FD catch
- a quarterback sneak on first down?  weird.
- our first 3 and out tonight, and only our second punt.  wowza.
- what fools; don't they know that Hasse will eat single coverage alive every time?
- that was the longest quarter ever

FOURTH QUARTER (42-10 Sea Team)
- holy yikes!  all we're doing is trying to run the ball and eat up some clock, but Swain and Shade sealed the side so effectively, and Raven's so danged fast, and instead it turns into a beautiful TD run!
- Goose missed the PAT?  his leg must be falling off!
- here we are again just trying to keep chewing clock, but instead we're gashing them for big runs all over the place.  this defense was bad enough when fully rested; after being beat up for three quarters, they're just beyond awful.
- hooray, Goose finally gets a chance to kick, and makes good on it!  atta kid.
- an INT, the one thing we hadn't done yet this game!
- and that's the game!

FINAL SCORE: 51-10

Today's Soggy Sea Team Game Ball goes to... Not Blood!  Raven had an amazing game as well, but much of his damage came after the game was well in hand and the D was falling all over itself, so I'm tipping the scales to NB, who had the most dominating performance we've ever seen from a receiver back when the game was still in doubt.

Ngamer's Game 11 Commentary

- wait a minute, we DON'T kick off for once?  what madness is this?!
- Raven's flat out scary when he kicks into into that next gear.  and what excellent blocking by Shade.
- holy wow, Raven got through a hole that WASN'T EVEN THERE.
- after somehow threading a pass to Shade that had no right being caught, we fail to connect to a wide open NB in the endzone.  guess that's how the ball bounces sometimes.
- hey hey, go right back to the same play, and this time we stick it in!  that's what I call getting back on the horse.
- bah, drag did an awful job of breaking out of that block, and Roids took another of his weird routes to the ball.
- splitting between Hasse and Scorecoff?  now that's a rare sight.
- wow, can't believe their kicker hit from 37.  too bad, was hoping for our first shutout!
- Shade's like a CB Magnet out there on those pitches to the right; really opens up the field for Raven, that's going to be hard for people to stop.
- boy oh boy, N. Blood and Raven are sure picking up right where they left off!
- no need to be greedy... just keep putting points on the board, Sea Team, that's the way!

SECOND QUARTER (10-3 Sea Team)
- wow, can't believe Come ripped it out of that WR's hands.
- fantastic blocking on that punt return
- ouch!  it look like that pass was on the money, but just bounced out of NB's hands.  oh well, I trust our D to pick us right back up.
- another 3 and out!  that stress on defending runs up the middle sure seems to be paying off.
- what the CRUNK Ed Bellis?  after two very good games in a row, Paddy Jo's accuracy is way down this game... and what was with that 30 yard hail Mary into triple coverage?  we're not down 21 points here, Pat!
- thank goodness they still haven't learned that you can't run up the gut on this solid D line.
- golly, we're putting up 10 yards every time; let's just keep running it!
- the blocking is just amazing across the board on these running plays.
- oh WOW!  I'm laughing so hard at Q. Blood just bowling those defenders over.  too bad he doesn't have an extra gear, or that would have been taken to the house!
- there we go, Paddy's right back on the money.  don't know what happened to him those last two drives...
- whoa, didn't even see that ball come loose. way to rip it out of there, Infil!
- finally Ng with a chance to show off that Leg.  and by gosh, he nearly kicks that pigskin to the moon!
- gah, we had 3 men hovering around that TE and left Dent alone in space on that WR.
- yesssss, good work pulling down that INT by Perkins, but really that pick was cause by excellent pressure from both Brian and Nari.
- throwing instead of running out the clock here, bad decision.  throwing to the RB for any reason, bad decision.  him coughing it up, bad luck- but great awareness from Q. Blood to fall right on that.

HALFTIME

THIRD QUARTER (17-3 Sea Team)
- alright, excellent half of football there.  I'm expecting to see more domination the rest of the way!
- whoa, what's with Hatchet doing his best Ladies Man impression there?  you've got to wrap up, guy!
- oh heavens, I can't believe Comet got beat for that TD... those are the kind of passes he's always knocked down in the past.  quite the shocker right there.
- need points out of this drive.  fluke plays or not, 7 pts is much too close for comfort against a team like this.
- hey hey, True Blood gets into the action!  correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first time we've ever managed the BloodE Triple Crown, in terms of getting the ball to all of them in a game.
- yikes, another fumble!  I've got to call out T. Blood on this one; he should have been helping Rick seal off that LE- had he done that this result is an easy TD rather than the fumble.
- ack, come up just a half-yard short!  oh well, no biggie, Goose will cash this in.
- starting to create some QB pressure from time to time, I like it.
- don't know about that decision from drag... could have returned it well past the 20 if he'd picked that up.

FOURTH QUARTER (20-10 Sea Team)
- yeah yeah, that running game is still eating up big chunks and grinding out that clock, good stuff.
- whoa!  no offense to Q and T, both of whom are having good games, but you can definitely tell when it's N. Blood who just caught the ball; he brings the ball down and starts heading upfield so much quicker
- hey now, that time Q sealed off the block just like T should have the other time, and just as expected, it results in a big run.
- wow, Raven has such good vision to take it outside when there's clearly nothing doing up the middle.  he's just a special player.
- haha, three missed tackles on a play that only went 1.5 yards!  clearly SZ has been working on his strength!
- well shoot, we once again move the ball with ease, but get shut down in the red zone.  not a big deal, we've still got the game well in hand, but I had been hoping to run up the score a little more than this.
- shoot, knock the ball down twice in a row, but then they sneak a FD in between Roids and LM.  the D hasn't played poorly this game, but they haven't been firing on all cylinders like they were in weeks past.
- shoot, embarrassing missed tackle by pack, but way to force that ball out Roids!  we can keep them off the scoreboard yet.
- dang, wanted to hold on to the ball longer than that.  oh well, Ng will boot it halfway round the world to ensure them poor field position.
- hoooray!  much easier to bump those AVG yard stats when you're only kicking twice a game!
- oh my, good thing drag knocked that down, would have been a TD if it got over his hands.
- I'm glad we did the smart thing there and just stuck to the run; conservative, but the right thing to do with time winding down.
- dang, PDO keeps getting so close to recording a sack.
- and we let them have 8 yards when they need 10, with 6 guys way back to prevent the big play.  more smart work!
- and a couple more runs is all it takes to finish out the game.  great work, Sea Team!

FINAL SCORE - 23-10 Sea Team

Today's Soggy Sea Team Game Ball goes to... Melkihor Ravenloft.  Another really good game from him, despite the fumble (which again shouldn't have happened, so can't hold it too much against him).  Him missing out on the last game ball despite an almost historic day is what makes this an easy decision though.
