I planned on buying 5 lines; my set and 4 quick picks. All combos have the same chance of winning, so if you are one of the first three people to post your set of numbers in this thread, I will play your set! Sets are 6 numbers, 1 thru 49. If your set wins the jackpot, I will send you $1million. If I win a couple thousand off your lines, I'll send you a small part of the prize.

CRAZY!!! With the recent "mind-blowing, change-the-way-we-watch-television" season finale of Lost, NO ONE used the numbers from that show!!!

Whoa fan, you're going to have to elaborate... what are those numbers from? Was there a lottery on the show or are they from something else? Please explain. You can write spoilers seeing as I don't care.

It's just a sequence of numbers that pops up again and again throughout the show. One of the characters in the show won the lottery with them before coming to the island, and things keep happening with these numbers (they're involved in a deactivation passcode thing, etc.)

You're better off going with randomly generated numbers from the machine than picking your own.

I bought the ticket this afternoon around 3:15pm at a local convenience store.

I stuck with my original plan of buying 5 lines + encore (the $1 extra game) so, sorry Jimbo, but I didn't take your numbers. I was considering it, but I didn't want to spend $13 on a lottery ticket as that is just digging yourself a hole, and I didn't want to buy another line to bring the tally up to $15 as I'm currently on a tight budget until payday.

My numbers are the first line, infil's are 2nd, Thiradell's 3rd, QB's 4th and Ngamer's 5th.

The explanation behind the choice of my numbers is;

03 - Silo A 1:03
05 - Streets SA 1:55 (there is no 55, this lottery only goes up to 49)
10 - Silo SA 1:10
25 - Silo 00A 1:25
36 - Cradle SA 0:36
49 - Surface 1 SA 1:49

In 7 number lotteries, I throw in 11 for Frigate 00A 1:11. I also didn't want to play the set of numbers from Lost, since I'm sure someone else will play those (probably like 20+ others in Canada will be playing those tonight) and alas I don't want to split a small prize like that.

Just to keep everyone updated, the odds of matching 6 numbers from 49 is 1/13 983 816. Since we have 5 unique combinations for the same draw, our chances are now increased fivefold. This means our new odds that I hold the winning ticket are 5/13 983 816 or 1/2 796 763.2 (though that phrase is not grammatically correct, from mathematical terms.) Rounded close, we have a 1 in 2.8million shot that I will be collecting the Jackpot on Thursday morning!

The draw goes at 10pm EST tomorrow (Wednesday.) I'll keep you updated in here. Here's to a 1 in 2.8million shot at a new life

The winning numbers for the draw are; 04 22 26 29 39 48

That means I didn't win any prize on my ticket! The prize information is unavailable for the next few hours, so hopefully no one else won... I can't see anyone else having won with these lame numbers. I mean who would choose those numbers to win?

I'll keep you updated to see if no one won this jackpot, meaning Saturday's jackpot is something like $60million, in which case we'd do this all over again!

Just to show you guys that I was right about it being better to let the machine pick your numbers, I printed out a $2 ticket at a completely random time at work today. The result? $224.

I've heard Ryan that playing mulitple numbers on 1 ticket decent fair a return. I've heard its better to play single tickets....

No one in florida has one on a ticket with multiple numbers. I played last nights jackpot for 190 million. No one hit so the jackpot is now 222 million.
