Anyone want to give this a go? Try this with me?

I'm on my 2nd day of 1st week in the program. could be the motivation but I already feel stronger. I'm acheing on my triceps and shoulders but it's a weird refreshing ache..... Anyways

Apparantly at the end of 6weeks almost anyone can do 100 consequetive pushups and I'm gonna try this to see if it actually does work. It doesn't look too hard to prepare yourself, I sailed through the first couple of days so I'm sure a lot of you guys here will be able to do better. It's only 6 weeks aswel...... nothing!

This was originally posted on Scorehero but the moderators over there are fucking gay and deleted the thread. why? fuck knows but I thought it was a good idea. I'm not sure if this will appeal to any of you over here but post in this thread on your progress if you give this a go, id be really interested to see who has completed the challenge at the end of the 6weeks. good luck

I'd rather try to have 100 orgasms in a day and work my way up to that.

And then I'd learn how to give a female partner 100 orgasms in a day.

Then I'd write a book about it.

???

PROFIT!

Sounds kinda interesting, and part of my wants to try it except:

1. Just had oral surgery and am not supposed to do this kinda exercise for another week, especially exercise that keeps me horizontal
2. I have a cyst on my left wrist that hurts occasional which can make push-ups impossible (gg guitar hero?)
3. (lame excuse) I suck at pushups

But lemme know how this thing goes and I may be tempted to try it in a few weeks anyway.

I don't think anyone is physically able to get an orgasm 100 times in 24 hours.

and in case you are able, you need help!

Actually some women have a severe medical condition where they orgasm constantly.

Physiological theory says that if it's possible for one human to do it, other humans can be trained also to do it.

I'm actually at week 5 right now, and it really is improving my endurance. Not much in terms of bulking up, but I can get to about 80 pushups in a row until I collapse. Glad someone else found this intriguing!

Well it also depends on the quality of pushups. I Dont think I can do 100 if I do it army style, but normal pushups I can definitely do 100.

Normal pushups for me is going slowly the entire way to the ground with your chest and then back up again. Sort of like doing it on chairs where you can go even further down and practice the deeper mucles of the higher back. I just looked up some video of somone doing "Military Push-Ups" and if THAT is pushups I can already do 100.

http://www.expertvillage....ises-military-pushup.htm what the hell.

Acually when doing real pushups you practice mainly the pecs. Although you get bigger triceps aswell.

Well a real military pushup would be having your butt high up, back high up, put your feet on your tip toes, lock your elbows and go from all the way up to touching your chest onto the ground...do it like this and even 30 is a real workout, I dont think I can do more than 50 this way right now, 100 would be nuts.
http://www.youtube.com/wa...     This is how you do it.

But just touching your chin or whatever, 100 that way isnt very difficult.

I have to overcome a slightly simpler challenger first...

*one* full situp (hands behind head, feet not anchored, nice and slow)

don't laugh yet... see if you can do it.

It doesn't matter how you do situps/pushups... all that matters is that you go until you feel the burn in the proper muscles.

This topic is about doing 100 push-ups, which is very dependent on how you perform them. Also it does matter how you do work out. Not only in terms of repetitions but also to include more muscles, better quality training and of course not hurting yourself because you're doing the exercises all wrong. Sure regular push-ups aren't that bad so most people could do them until it burns in their upper body without receiving any terrible damages.

I want to receive terrible damages so then I can make fun of people who work out for ruining their bodies. Kind of like paying the dues so can I become more and more of a shit disturber.

Well if you do crappy pushups but do like 200, you wont build the same amount of muscle as if you do them intense and do like 50. The more intense you work your muscle, the more you will build, otherwise you will just burn fat and tone your muscle, but you won't really BUILD much.

i have never tried for most pushups, but i have tried for most pull-ups. At Ozfest I broke the 26 Marine Pull-up Challenge with 28, but someone tied me later on during the day, so i was tied for 2nd out of everyone at ozfest. Im pro at pull ups though, but to think i was the best out of everyone at ozfest... fail.

I lift weights 5 days a week mon - friday(i have been doing this for 5 months now) and Monday and friday are my chest and tris day. I think i may give this a shot and make a vid and see how many i can do. Ill post the vid in this topic.

I'm starting this today. M/W/F for 6 weeks. Will update progress.

Starting in 1 week, column 3. Didn't do an early count, I've done 50 in the past but figure 11-20 is a good spot for now to start, can't hurt to start weak and work up a bit slower

I just did week2:day2.... gotta admit I struggled........ I better be able to do day 3. cuz I will be pissed off if I'm struggling already...

A lot of the reason why i'm having trouble though is because I havn't eaten for like the past 3 days, and not been eating properly for the last couple months, just a lot of drinking. i'm getting so unhealthy it's shit.

But I just no have appetite recently. and on the upside I am losing weight

Edit: which is surprising because I'm naturally a fucking strong person, I thought i'd breeze this, I'm unbeatable when it comes to armwrestles and shoulder strength when it comes down to anyone my age or a few years older and I've only been to the gym like 1 day in my life. But I do a lot of manaul labour work for my job. Havn't worked for a bit now though and not eating properly it's really surprising how it can fuck you up

Day 1 was okay. Got the 10-12-7-7 done easily, then the max (at least 9) I did 17. I have to stop because my abs/lower back hurt, not my chest. Doing fine form, just holding my body straight is what hurts lol. Guess those muscles are weaker....

My arm gives me shit. It clicks uncomfortably sometimes which can really hurt, so sometimes I have to stop or readjust myself. (another words I have to click my elbow back into place) before I can continue. this is all down to me breaking it a few years back.

I'm glad you are going for this octo.

Skipped week 1/2 after doing the "initial test" and have had no problem with all three days of week three, column 3. Looks like it increases pretty ridiculously in later weeks, though.

Probably shouldn't be doing this during baseball because my shoulder is really loose and doesn't really like doing these anyway, and having to throw compounds the problems.

When I can do the 100 i'll record myself too...

Im not doing very well at this, I just did week 3, day 2. I couldn't complete the last set of 20. I stopped after 15. I been at work all day today though mixing concrete and pushing barrows though so I'm already tired before I started, Either way I'm going to repeat week 3 because I don't think it's a good idea to move onwards if I can't complete the set, no matter how tired I am.

I struggled on week 3 day 1 anyway. but that was due to a hangover........... at least i'm trying, heh heh.

I went on a 3 hour hike in the mountains yesterday which did wonders for my abs/lower back. I had to stop a bit short in the last set from those muscles before my chest gave out. Was a good workout today, though, optimistic for the next one

Week One
Day 1 (6/8 ): 10-12-7-7-17
Day 2 (6/10): 10-12-8-8-18
Day 3 (6/15): 11-15-9-9-24

Week Two
Day 1 (6/17): 14-14-10-10-19
