So I guess I don't need to report too much since people are finding out how the tournament is going anyways, well the final is in like 30min, gonna try to make the vid before people find out who won

Though I didn't do too well on this tournament myself, after my bro beat me I won against Marc but then I was kicked out by Patrik... again.

Hey guys, we are going to keep you in suspense a bit longer about the final matches of the tournament. Some really nice games were played this weekend. Me going up against Patrik twice and both times it were really close matches.

We will update you on the scores when we have the videos and stuff ready..

I'm finally home again after a 7 hour car ride. Patrik, on the other hand, has like 4 more hours or so until he gets home.

I'd like to thank Illu for being a wonderful host for this meetup, though it only lasted for 2 days. Nice organized I must say! Great food and nice premises where the actual meeting took place. Also nice meeting your brother, Miika; I was amazed by his 1.1 multi skills.

It's always nice meeting Henning, although we didn't really had any time to talk like we did at the previous swedish meet. And it was also nice meeting the guys I hadn't met before: Trent, Eise and Marc; I hope I'll see you guys more in the future. You guys were quite cool and I particularly liked to see the new guy, Marc, to show up just randomly since he's like new to the-elite as well as being the only one from Denmark. Also, as I said to Marc yesterday in real life, your Facility dltk and Aztec Agent runs were quite impressive and you can easily gain ranks (and I hope you'll get 1:33 (or better) soon )

I think Eise and Marc where the only guys who actually pr'ed. Marc on Silo Agent (1:09?) and Eise on Bunker 2 SA (0:53; pretty good run). I managed to dupe Depot Agent 0:26 and I got some random stuff like Control 4:09 while Marc was watching.

And yeah, thanks to Patrik for coming over to my place so I didn't have to drive the whole way to Borås by my own. And good luck to you at the Virginia meet! The same goes to Trent obviously.

And congrats to the champ! (I better not reveal who won yet until the vids are made.)

Thanks for a very good weekeend guys! It was fun to get my ass kicked in multiplayer, Try some NTSC on Fac and Silo (Well also Aztec a quite lot, but that is a bitch) and talking some Aztec with Eise and Illu. And thank you very much Axel for your kind words and encouraging me! Well i hope that the match between me and Henning will come up i would really like to see that again! (It was a 10-9 lost in final round on Archives)

Hm, any thoughts on how Aztec is on NTSC? I mean, did it feel more laggy and gayer, or about the same?

Yep more lag, Guards a little more accurate and i think the glass trick is slightly harder to pull of on NTSC. so yeah, i'm pretty amazed how the fuck you got 1:31. Maybe you could get 1:30 when you play PAL heh..

I just went nuts for that time. Like yeah, I got 3:58, 1:07, 1:35 recently, but back in those days when I was just getting first place I was playing with intensity since me and Rayan were competing so hard. I guess overall 30 hours might not seem like a very long time, but when you go really intense for a time it does feel hard, I mean 1:31 felt extremely difficult when I got it. Risking the glass more, needing good boost ratios at the start, it was all just very annoying to deal with. I had faster runs for sure than the one I got 1:31 on, but the ending was also extremely gay. Those guards were always outside the vents on the good runs. 1:30 is possible yeah but even on PAL I imagine that would take an eternity to get everything to go well, even Rayan took 50h for 131 so its definitely an extremely difficult level on PAL as well and I also took 35h just for 132 so overall I played it like 60 hours to get from 1:33 to 1:31.

Well yeah i didn't meant to say it was a big difference just very small. For me, When i was playing NTSC, it felt like it was 1 second disadvanaged all the time. Then i changed my mind about it when i was playing it all night at the meeting when all the others where sleeping because i could hear on the music it was faster but then Illu told me the music was delayed on NTSC i didn't know that so..

Man. I want some more of Ilaris chicken and rise to be honest. I would walk back to Borås for another portion of that stuff :P.

Anyway, I had great fun at the meeting. Especially since it was my first unofficial tournament and my first time meeting several Elite members at the same time. Illu even thought me some single player tricks I would have never come up with on my own (some weird way of pressing the B button using an "alien finger" technique lol. Worked out great though!

I only wished my personal life was going a bit better though so I could attend the Virginia meeting as well (I really wanna kick Jimbos ass ).

Well well Eise won just as expected even though Henning won against him earlier, but i guess he just didn't took it serious there. I was just hoping for a more intense final he he. Temple had some really good kills! Congrats with the title Eise you deserved it!

oh yea we were doing these things with championship records (the best times gotten during the meeting) I got the championship record on aztec with a crappy 1:45 on ntsc, though I think at Patriks place in 2007 I got 1:38 first try, that was on PAL though

Eise got 1:06 silo and 53 B2, Trent did a 55 first try though lol.

I think this is a fun side thing to include to GE tournaments, try this maybe in Virginia, could just play any level and note the best times gotten during the championship, or beforehand decide what levels you will have the challenge on and see who leaves the championship with the best time on some level or two.

Next I might make that most insane 4 player match vid ever, Patrik owning us completely and I think that included players like Eise and even me

There were also some really cool kills before the semis and finals, I'm trying to see if I can find those also, I know I have that kill by Trent trough the impossibly narrow crack lol.

Yeah a complication video would be nice. Trents kill on fac is probably the best kill ever in multi. Also be sure to involve my explosive kill on archives against henning. I think it was the only box explosive kill in the tournament he he..

Well Trents kill was crazy but there were other crazy kills too, some by Patrik and Eise for example I think that some others might be my favourites still.

like 10 years ago I killed Dantte and Miikka on normal with a headshot trough both of their heads on normal though (my bro says it might have happened twice even) but ofcourse there's no vid of that either I'm still not sure if I was maybe better on multi back in those days, was playing with 1.1.

I just hate how I did on the final, well, more like dissapointed, should have been more of a match but whatever, I suck at multi, thats no secret though Im surprised I even made it as far as I did. Congrats to Eise though, he deserved it as he was the best mulitplayer there, no doubt.

Patrik ownage 3 - 3 - 4 - 21

he doesn't start out too impressive though, he just goes completely crazy a few mins into the game, from about 3:45 he gets like 8 kills in less than a minute, I think he also played like 6 four player games and won all of those.
