Does you suffer with sore fingers playing GE/PD?
« on: July 30, 2009, 04:26:00 am »
My middle finger is swolen like a golf ball due to playing 1.2. I've seen the way others play 1.2 and it doesn't seem any different to the way I play, yet i've never heard anyone else complaining. Back when I played 1.1 my thumb suffered. Eventually my thumb looked my big toe, with thick hard skin on the underneith.

ATM my pad has several plasters on the back where I try to rest my finger, and I have a couple of plasters on my finger, but i'm still in agony and as it stands I can't play for more than 20 minutes before I have to give up

Does anyone else have the same problem, or had the same problem and figured out a better plan than me?

The middle of my left thumb sometimes hurts like hell, depends on what level I play as well.

At least he used "than" and not "then." I.know Matis always types "then" because it is faster to type than "than."

nice triple play, Goose!

and where can i find that iphone app?

yeah usually it's my right thumb that gets sore and really calloused! not sure how to fix this though, since breaks never seem to fix the problem with me, it kinda always hurts a little bit...

I've been somewhat worried about this actually. I think I remember reading an article a few years back that hardcore gaming might cause problems with Osteoarthritis in the hands during the later years of your life.

Yes, we're young, but I'm always on the lookout for future problems no matter how far ahead in the future they are.

Should I look up more on this?

I only get problems with my left thumb if I play much (like several hours in a row for a few days), oherwise usually I dont have problems with my fingers. Best thing I think to do is taking a break for like two days or so, so your fingers gets the chance to rest for awhile. Changing to some other level might work too, for me its usually levels on wich I have to turn alot I get problems with.
