Actually it's weird that it's the 1st alarm for me. The last is normal that's hard. Any tips?

Are you using a dot? I only remember the first being hard before I used a dot.

Last alarm is hardest imo.

Last alarm is the most difficult but none are really "hard" to hit. I don't use dot either.

I've ever used a dot, but since it fell off my TV, I don't use it anymore. But I think I will use it again.

Yeah I don't know if you guys are joking or what, since it was in fact weird to play on at first, going from a 25" tube to a 42" widescreen, but it's kick-ass for multi.

I'm not joking, mind you, my most recent video game system is the GameCube, between our 4 cars in the family the average age is 13 years old with youngest being 10, and I played my whole career on a 27 inch, then went to about a 14 inch currently. It's not the big screen which throws me off, it's the flat screen. Also, new stuff sucks!

Ah yeah true, well I think mine's fine though, considering Clemens had Facility 47, Depot 26, and Surface 1:03 within 10 minutes of playing on my TV. Then again, it's Clemens.

Jimbo couldn't get 17 that weekend, just because Jimbo sucks.

i agree, playing goldeneye on a tube tv is way easier than a newer flat screen. though for multi, the flat screen works better, imo. i actually think that the smaller the tv the more contained your focus is, thus making it easier to speedrun, but again, that just me...

This will probably seem quite horrid, but could someone please help me with door warping?
I understand the basic concepts, ie. change weapon while strafing at the edge of the opening...
However, this is only working for me about 28.7 % and I feel that getting this a bit more consistent will help my times...
Thanks heaps XD

What I think youre doing wrong is that you try to warp too early or something.

Lag is important, like at a few levels you might want to lookup for a bit, or just shake bond around when youre warping to create lag or shooting at the wall (gotta time this tho so you dont loose too much time, I do this for the last door on Bunker 2 sometimes if the run is low on lag).

The angle you have to the door is important aswell. You can also time the gunswitch depending how much lag there is, like low lag = switch guns a bit later, high lag you can just try and warp right away. Might be tough to judge the lag at first but youll get the feeling after awhile. Being a bit slow on changing guns, like running into the door for a extra .5 or so is good for practise, but when going for fast times you want to risk the warps more, but until then you probably have learned how to warp proberly

Edit:

I forgot to mention that to what gun you change to might affect a successful warp or a missed warp. Like sometimes its easier to just change to unarmed, or to double klobbs etc. Bunker 1 is a good example, its way tougher to warp the last door if you change to kf7 from double klobbs or unarmed, but way easier to warp if you change from kf7 to double klobbs etc.

PS. Pepsi max and Coke zero are my 2 favourite drinks, theres a reason the names pepsi lol, but thats a long backstory...
Thanks for the warping advice, its already helped a bit...
Another question is the ladder glitch... Like how do you jump to the top immediately? It works sometimes and never others... As far as I can tell its something like strafing at the ladder at 45 degrees... but please correct me if im wrong

hmm pepsi dude, you should create lag in the game so your chances of warping are higher! On Surface 1, for example, you won't warp the ladder if you are looking down. Sometimes you don't even have to change weapons or anything, just move your analog a little bit. It depends on the level you are playing, some warps are easier than others.

Or just read Henning's post, it's preety much what he said

Here is the list of weapons which give the best chance of warp when you switch to them;

2x Laser
2x klobb
unarmed

Though it generally depends on which level you are playing.
