I have a doubt about warping in doors. Is it better to warp back-switching the gun (A + Z) instead of switching it forward (A)? I have tried both in stages like Facility, and warps seem easier with A + Z to me there...

It doesn't matter if you go backwards or forward, it matters TO WHICH gun you switch.

Warping to a mine will almost never work, nor a grenade.  This is why Henning's Surface 2 00A run is probably fake.

Warping to klobbs is usually the best.  Unarmed is decent too.  PP7 is ok.  For some reason kf7 isn't very good.

Yeah - generally warping to dual anything is better than singles.

It's all about the model that has to be drawn, which is why unarmed works but mines don't. Although both have a "blank" screen - unarmed has to draw the slapper itself, where the mines/grenades don't really have to draw anything fancy. Same reason why detonator is always a beast for warping. 

(KF7 isn't bad - and personally I do find that backswitching is better for warping...but that's generally due to convenience.  )

So I did some testing on Henning's Surface 2 SA 0:49 video as to how on earth he warped with a Grenade but ended with a mine. It took me 9 tries using the same setups each time, but it's possible to get a last frame weapon switch in the fade to pull out a mine. Henning's last weapon that showed was a Grenade and I was ready to blow up the boards with another FAKE claim.

I guess his run is just 1/10,000 - but I've still never seen a warp using a mine or Grenade outside of that run.

If you leave the level with the same weapon setup (no cheats etc) and a grenade selected with 0 ammo, you'll get the remote mine cinema - try it! That mine was bugging me some months ago aswell, but it's all fine.

Not true OHMSS, I just did your exact criteria and it ended with the Grenade animation. This is getting ugly, my friend!

Edit: Did the same test 3 times just to make sure. No one ever switches weapons forward to a Grenade for a warp. This run is a fake.

Did you test the switching weapons thing with 1.x or 2.x? If i'm not mistaken they are different when it comes to the game allowing weapon switching after fadeout has started.

Edit: Testing this on emulator right now. The switch-to-grenade warp works like all the time there. Got it twice in a row on my very first try. Emulator is known to have more lag than console though so i wouldn't be suprised if this is emulator-only.

Edit2: I managed to recreate Henning's ending with 2.x. In fact, its extremely easy to do and the window of opportunity to switch weapons after warping is very large. The grenade will still be last visible weapon but cinema will be mine. Just press A after warping...

So if Henning's run used 2.x, it could be completely legit.

I've been playing Facility - Agent for the last few days, but my average run is a 57 fail (mostly due to bad Trev)... So I decided to record a run in video to check where I fail... Since seeing the video I can't know where I'm failing, I have made a video comparison between mine and Rayan's one (maybe I should have done this vs a PAL video, but doesn't matter)... Well, the result is in the next link:

My doubt is: what do I have to do to save 4 full seconds in the beggining and 6 in the rest of the run? Do I just have to play more or I simply do many things wrong like the strafing? Of couse, I can't go for 43, but 49 would be very nice for me...

40.8-41.2 for Valentin sounds low. In WR videos, they run into the wall to make him talk faster. Try that.

The end timer can be different, it depends on when the timer switch happens after you leave Valentin. It goes from 2:XX to 5:59. If you get a 2:13 or 2:14 switch, it is good. From there a 49 or 50 end is what you're aiming for.

I seem to always get a laser guard in the vents when I'm on my way to the mainframe after getting the BA. Any idea why this is and how I can avoid it?

Shoot exactly 6 bullets at the guard behind the mainframe door (you want to do this while right-strafing a bit, see the WR videos) and then shoot 3 bullets at the right computer in the exhaust bay room only when you reach the right side. Don't shoot any other bullets when luring the guards.

Hope for quick glass.  That's the best strat known to man.

There's a lot to it. You want both guards to be ducking as you're leaving the cubicle so you can stay at the glass for a longer time (they can open it if they have other animations but ducking is the best one from my experience). Hold full speed when waiting at the glass and look a little towards the MF while doing so to prevent the guards from getting stuck. The glass has a decent chance of opening if you do all of that correctly and have the guards barely miss seeing you when you go to the hiding spot. I think looking down at the hiding spot helps a little too.

Use lookdown when you're waiting at the cubicle too since doing that prevents the guards from getting stuck.

From what I've learned, doing a ton of quick pauses in the hiding spot is worth giving up full speed for. 3 or 4 quick pauses and then strafing against the wall for a short bit is the way to go.
