Hai guys
Well I finally reached the 3000 mark, and I'd like to dedicate this utterly pointless post to the following people, who have made sticking around here worthwile:
Hugo 'Carathorn' Van der Wolk: Probably the most genuinely nice person in the whole of the elite. Always a pleasure to talk to, incredibly funny, and even had me over to visit for 5 days in May where we had a lemonparti in Haarlem. I didn't get to meet Roel though
Max 'Red Bull' Bout: Well how could I ever forget my bulli sweetcheex in a list such as this? Scarily clever guy, also has a very quirky sense of humour. A pleasure to see when I was in Holland as well.
Ryan 'Goose' White: The one and only. Possibly the most candid person i've ever come across, and this is something i really admire. One of the most outrageous characters here, although very easy to get on with on a personal level as well once you get past this. Also largely responsible for a lot of the ridiculous memes that go on around here, that shit always makes me laugh.
Thomas 'Wiff' Andrews: One of the first people I really got to know in the elite, in those halcyon days of the n00b rivalry. Really acerbic and witty guy, we've also had some really great conversations about various subjects, not least our joint love of random bits of classical music.
Axel 'OB' Andersson: Again, someone I knew from the early days. Incredible sense of humour, chat is always 10x funnier when Axel is there. Also has introduced me to such esteemed artists as Petter, Melody Club and Kjell Hoglund. Thanks for that......I think :/
Alex 'BassBoost' Anderson: Again, a n00b rivalry survivor, but someone who actually went on to be pretty decent at the games :P Some great chats over AIM a few years ago, and also the instructional vids you made were always treat. A special mention on this front to 'Alex does 54' and the control 00 tutorial vid, which remain some of the best GE videos ever made.
Luke 'Homeonice' Szklarz: Pretty much responsible for opening my ears to a whole bunch of new music that I wouldn't even have considered listening to otherwise. Is also responsible for some of the best videos in existence in the elite vid archives (especially his Depot 43, which is by all accounts is just beautiful). Also a straight-talking, no shit kind of guy who's just a pleasure to talk to.....if I can get hold of him when he's online!
Glen 'SupaOdin' Stevens: Well, you're just fit, think that's it isn't it? Awesome guy.
