yeah well I actually have a few job interviews tomorrow, sounds promising, if i get a job offer and it looks like I can make it to the meet before my job starts, I just might make a last minute attempt to go, so not throwing in the towel yet. Seems very unlikely, however, to be perfectly honest... since you usually cant take days off work the first few weeks.

So I was wondering and putting together a list of possible things we can do during the day...

1. Ocean? Gulf? I don't know Florida geography very well but damn I'd like to visit a beach, and I'm sure others would too.
2. Golf! Sterling, Me, QB, and wheat agreed we'd like to hit up a 9 hole somewhere.
3. Grilling out, Sterling volunteered here.
4. NFL playoffs Saturday/Sunday somewhere? I'm guessing you (Adam) won't mind if we hog the TV all day to watch some Packer playoff football, but if that won't work than maybe we'll go to a bar.
5. Theme parks! I dunno, I can dream right?

My flight itinerary says Eddie, Trent and I will be arriving in Orlando at 5:55 PM, and us 3 will be leaving Orlando at 6:40 PM on Sunday.

Trent, we might have to park at the airport still, but I think there's economy parking (shuttle to terminal) which is like $10 a day so splitting that won't be bad at all. My girlfriend can drive us back to my house on Sunday night but I don't have a ride there on Thursday, yet anyways, so we'll wait and see.

Alright guys one last major announcement before the meet.

anyone who is driving... QB, STERLING, DEREK if guys can get an extra tv that would help out greatly. I have 3 right now and maybe could get a few more but it would be nice if you guys can bring them. Also if you 3 have extra sleeping bags and such please bring them. It'll help out with the sleeping situation.

Bearder there is space in my closet if you want to come

Lastly if you guys want anything to drink I could probably pick up some beverages and we could all pitch in for some food...so just post if you have something specific you'd like to drink. Thanks!

alright QB not a problem. most people are flying in around 6 but wheat comes in about 6:40. If you want to stop by around 7 pm that should be fine.

Sleeping bags FAIL. Best is just to bring two flannel sheets and an old comforter (you can probably find a Power Rangers, Dinosaurs, Rocketships, Barbie, etc one lying around your parent's house.) That combo > Sleeping bag any day of the week and actually take up less space.

I'm such an airport n00b, I haven't been on a flight since 1999. What are the rules for baggage and carry ons? I know most flights charge for baggage and I only planned on taking one bag, but I might pack a small carry-on and bring a bunch of magazines for my flights to and from Orlando. Any idea how much this would run me extra?

Talked with Adam last night. I'll be bringing my TV/VCR/DVD Combo and my camcorder. I'll also bring my own sleeping stuff this time. I will be arriving at 1 AM Thursday morning leaving work tomorrow night at 11PM. I can pick up some people on arrival with QB. Assuming you will be arriving during the day Josh. We can find something to do in this case because Adam will be in class till 5. I'm excited to see everyone because I havent seen you all in quite sometime, and I missed VA last year. If I'm forgetting something let me know...should be some good fun guys.

alright new update. i assumed i would have class from 9-5pm but i have class from 5pm-9pm.

it actually isn't bad at all besides having it m-sat. I can stay up super late no problem so that'll be good to hang with you all. I'll actually be in class when everyone is arriving so probably have sterling pick people up maybe QB if he shows up earlier. I'll contact sterling and let him know who to pick up and stuff. i'll give him the apartment key too.

So we may actually do the GE tournament friday night because that is when everyone will be around. (derek arriving that night, sterling arriving sat morn) so no bitching jimbo. Also after you get a kill you dont move. Either run to the body or stay in the general area.

The weather is sorta like a cooler spring day. it isn't bad and dont worry no snow :P so all you people who wanted to swim its probably to cold. you can hop in the hot tub or something if you want.

jimbo for the airport if you bring a suitcase it'll cost you 20 bucks. I dont think you'll need that. pretty much a book bag and small bag will be fine. probably keep one in the overhead and keep another under your seat. just make sure you keep all the jelly donuts out of your bag cause they'll check for that.

Jimbo, check your airline's website. A lot of airlines charge $10-20 for a checked bag each way. You are generally allowed 2 small carry-on bags, so if the bag you're planning to check is small enough to be a carry-on, you shouldn't check it. Also, make sure you don't pack liquids/gels in your carry-on or the TSA will give you the business.

Edit: Just to clarify in case it wasn't obvious, there is never a charge for carry-on bags. You'll only be charged if you check a bag (and looking at Northwest's website, it looks like it's $23 each way for one bag, ouch). For a 3-4 day trip, I'm guessing the bag you're planning to bring is small enough to carry-on.

That'd be great if you could. Rock Band 2, I'm not sure about. I know at least a few people (myself, Gary, Trent, Sterling?) are probably going to play Halo at some point though. I'll probably bring my game and a controller or two.
