This truly is a cool story, bro.
If any of you wanted to scan through my thesis, just to see what I've been researching (the topic) and doing (writing the thesis) for the last long while, you can download a free PDF copy from my university site
here. The title of my thesis is "Constraint-Based Surface Deformation", which will only really make sense if you read it.
My area of research is computer science, and my specialization in graphics and modeling. To describe my thesis in a nutshell, users draw stuff on a surface and it deforms to match their drawings. This isn't exactly new, but I do it in a way that works for multiple surface representations, is interface-independent, and produces fast, smooth, and local results. Wheeee.
If nothing else, my thesis has some neat pictures in it. It's 171 pages (geez), so I don't expect anyone will
actually read it (hey, if you do, kudos to you! Talk to me about it!). If you have questions, you can ask them here or contact me on AIM or something.
The masters program was very difficult for me, so I'm very proud of this achievement. This is my life's work to date; the most difficult (and rewarding), most far-reaching, and definitely the most time-consuming work I've ever produced. Some of you expressed interest in seeing my thesis, which is why I'm posting about it like this.
