The Wait is Over.. (2009 Michigan Meet Multiplayer Montage)
« on: November 12, 2009, 11:07:00 pm »

After months of delay, and a few days of actual work on it, I have completed editing a montage chronicling the July Goldeneye meet that involved myself, Matis, Lovins, Jimbo, and Clemens.  It's my first attempt at a montage (be gentile!), but I think it turned out pretty sweet.  I put a lot of little effects and such throughout to try to make it as entertaining as possible.  This beast clocks in around 11 minutes:

YouTube already muted it so I won't bother linking there yet, unless I can get around that somehow.  I have "uploaded" it to Vimeo, which I now have to wait a half hour for it to "convert", but I'm not familiar with their policies, so I'm not sure if that will be any better than YouTube.  I'll edit this topic if I get it up anywhere like that.

Shawn Johnson, come get some.

YEAH!! x 1000. Exceptional work Greg...worth the wait. I'm very happy to see my old amateur montages owned!

With the number of top players, quality of kills, and editing creativity all featured in this, this is the Montage of Montages right now.

Thanks for checking the video out!

Sorry about the music quality.. I know it's kind of wacky, but I don't think it's as bad as you make it sound.  I might attempt to fix that in the near future if I get inspired enough.

Oh man that was a great video, I've rewatched it a bunch now. I used to be phenomenal with the trainshot-type shots, so I never really considered those a highlight. David looked amazing there during 3 player, damn.

Shawn, consider yourself broke if you go for that bet, btw.

Nice video Greg. Music quality is awful though. I thought about doing those little sound effects as well but couldn't be arsed with it .

Hopefully see you all at Virginia!

Thanks guys!

And yeah Eise, I actually had to put the video through Movie Maker a second time to add the sound effects, since I was already hogging both sound layers with the in-game sound and the music I added.  So it was a bit of a stretch for a somewhat slight reward, but I'm happy I added them.

I used Sony Vegas pro to make my video. A very good program. Give me a whisp on AIM if you want it. got a corporate version that works without putting it in a code or some shit.
