Brushback Baseball Home

Give it a shot if you like GLB or like the game of baseball.  While it seems like a ripoff of GLB, I think it'll be a great game once it gets further out of the beta stages.  You can find more details about the game after signing up.

Hmm, seems to be pretty well put together, although it's quite obviously a major GLB ripoff, as you would expect. I know Infil and Youse had been talking about putting something like this together themselves; looks like they've been beaten to the punch. To tell the truth though I've never understood why Bort didn't just do this himself. I mean he's busy improving GLB, but I don't see why he could have spent a little bit of that money in paying off someone else to create officially GLB-sanctioned baseball and basketball sims, using the framework he set up as the basis.

In any case, will anyone be starting an Elite team? I just created Ng SuperArm- he's a fireball-throwing relief pitcher with a tricky changeup who I was thinking could be used in a closer role.

MMOBaseball turned out to be a phishing site with no games ever simmed. Beware of similar here.

GLB was fun enough and I _don't_ like football. Baseball is my favorite sport.... this looks very cool. I made an outfielder for if/whenever an elite team gets set up:

EDIT: Also, NG, you can have your guy sign to a CPU team for now, if we get a team set up CPU team contracts can apparently be broken at anytime.

Well, baseball sims aren't anything new, so I wouldn't say we were "beaten to the punch", since they existed before Youse, octo and I started talking about it. It was an idea that was probably never going to get off the ground either way, though.

I've got a first baseman (Luke Huttington) ready to roll!
nothin' moves me more than a groove that soothes me
nothin' soothes me more than a groove that boosts me
nothin' boosts me more, or suits me beautifully
there's nothin' you can do to me; stab me, shoot me

Making a baseball sim isn't "hard" but making a good one is. GLB isn't unique either.
