Finals

Lucky P defeats Neo
Sterling defeats PYL

Winners Bracket
Lucky P vs. Sterling

Losers Bracket
Neo vs. PYL

The winner of the losers bracket match will then face the loser of the winners bracket match.

Here we goooooooooooo!

Since we ended up with 14 participants, I've split them into two groups of seven. The groups are:

Group 1
Spoiler
Sterling
Goose
Howes
Third
Fal
Neo
Jimbo

Group 2
Spoiler
PYL
Lockwood
Trent
Comet
Lucky P
AT Allianz
Brick

After some heated first round action, we have our four finalists! While all the games didn't get played, we'll take what happened and get finalists from that!

Group 1
Sterling
Neo

Group 2
PYL
Lucky P

These four will now face off in a double elimination bracket tournament to determine the grand champion! The first matchups are:

Sterling vs. PYL
Lucky P vs. Neo

It'd be nice to get everyone in chat at the same time and watch the tournament happen all at once, but if that won't work, just play out these matches whenever you can! I'll explain the double elimination format in a new post.

LUCKY P DEFEATS NEO

Waiting on the other match...

nothin' soothes me more than a groove that boosts me
nothin' boosts me more, or suits me beautifully
there's nothin' you can do to me; stab me, shoot me

The first round will end on February 3rd. If you haven't played all your matches by then, it's your loss! The best way to meet people for games would probably be in the chatroom.

I am subsequently forfeiting all my Round 1 matches.

You have players 1, 2, 3 and 4. In the first round:

1 plays 4
2 plays 3

Let's say 4 and 3 lose. Now we have:

WINNERS' BRACKET
1 plays 2

LOSERS' BRACKET
3 plays 4

Let's say 3 beats 4. 4, having lost two matches (i.e. doubly eliminated), is OUT. Now 1 beats 2 in the winners' bracket. Now we have:

WINNERS' BRACKET
1
LOSERS' BRACKET
2 plays 3

Amazingly, 3 beats 2! Now 2, having lost two matches, is out. So finally we have:

1 plays 3

However, since 1 hasn't lost any matches, 3 must win twice in a row to take the tournament! 1 only has to win once. 1, being the master that he is, wins the first match and takes the tournament! That's how it goes down.

I'll hang out in chat as much as I can between now and the Superbowl, but after that I'll only be available a few hours a day.

Look forward to losing to all of you =D
