Hey guys
Mothers day was just yesterday and im sure everyone spent quality time with theirs if not at least gave them a call.
The main reason for this topic is to round some people up for about an hour or so on friday at around 6 pm eastern time. I recently got asked to co-host a golf show and I know that if things go well like last weekend I can probably venture into other areas and podcasts. We did a podcast with cameras last week and I was able to open up chat to maybe get some extra info on the topics at hand.
I'm really hoping that if any of you guys are just on the internet, which most of us are, that you would want to contribute to the topics and podcasts on this specific day and time. I probably going to make a facebook page and put podcasts and pictures of all guests/golfers that come in.
I'm hoping to acquire a co-host sports section with the station. I know alot of local people and have outsourced a bunch of listeners and figured I could come here and maybe even get some international exposure. Some of you might not know but I live in the golf capital of the world in palm beach gardens. There is also alot of reputable NHL,NFL,NBA teams within 150 miles.
I'll have to give you all the call in number as well as where the podcasts are held. (I still havent seen last weeks) My buddy Mike was the producer and he gave me a CD with the live broadcast but I dont feel like posting it up because the guy hosting the show kind of put my on spots where like I was unaware or not familiar with certain questions he was asking me.
I specificaly told him on some prior questions to basically skip them or dont steer the topic in my direction (as per I was just co-hosting with mike and just commetning on a few areas) We'll we went on air and he DID just that so I was like baffled and just had to wing something out...anyhow this is where if I had/have chat up and the pod cast up ya'll would come in handy and get self-exposure and some prior topics we'd hit to do additional research. Yeah its about golf right now but like I said im trying to get a steer towards sports news or something of the like. It was like the players champiosnhip and the host barely touched up on the leaderboard, who had the low round or just any interviews with the players prior to or after the rounds. I just figured it would be more based on what was current being that it was only a half hour show.
Axel knows everything about everything. I remember asking him stuff about baseball and not only did he get facts he had random other notations pretaining to those facts. For instance, I would be like "What was the only commercial Elvis did?" He would not only respond with a donut commercial but would know say Donkin Donuts or the canadian donut place and when that specific company was founded. The point being is that he had alot of good information and its good conversational talk.
At the completition of the show he finally asked a question pretaining to the actual tournament and he said he wanted to see "xxxxxxx" win the tournament and he had asked me who Mike and I would like to see win. I went with Local pro Robert Allenby from south aferica and he ended up finishing 2nd.
Anyhow if you guys had any opinions or ideas surrounding this topic besides my poor typing skills or what paragraph should of been placed where please leave them and look forward to talking in chat as well as responding here.
