I've been mesmerized by Ngamer's helmet pictures for some time now. I am either a mad genius, or completely certifiable.
But isn't it completely UNCANNY how both conferences seem to be organized very closely to how the teams will be ordered after this season (starting with the top row, and going from the direction the helmets are facing backward in each row). It's indeed plausible that the AFC's playoff teams are Chargers, Pats, Texans, Steelers, Chiefs, and Jets. And it's EVEN MORE plausible that the NFC's six playoff teams are the Packers, Saints, Eagles, Rams, Lions, and Falcons. That ORDERINGS are even plausible, given the divisions. And just look at the remaining teams in each conference. Couldn't you see, in both cases, how this could correlate strongly with the final conference rankings???
I know, your mind is friggin' blown right now, but that's not even the craziest thing. Wait for it.... I was also noticing week 1 matchups, and check THIS out:
Top Row, NFC: Saints/Pack, then Eagles/Rams. Two week 1 matchups.
2x2 square, beginning of 2nd and 3rd rows. Criss-cross them: Lions/Bucs & Falcons/Bears. Two week 1 matchups!
2x2 square, end of 3rd and 4th rows. Up-and-down: Giants/Redskins & 49ers/Hawks. TWO WEEK 1 MATCHUPS!
---TRANSITION TO AFC--- Now imagine the NFC package positioned above and to the right of the AFC package
Vikings, lower left corner of NFC, & Chargers, upper right corner of AFC. A WEEK 1 MATCHUP.
Leading 4x2 block, pairwise Up-and-down: Steelers/Ravens, Texans/Colts, Browns/Bengals, Titans/Jags. FOUR WEEK 1 MATCHUPS!!!!
2x1 block at the end 3rd and 4th rows. Up-and-down: Raiders/Broncos. A WEEK 1 MATCHUP.
So that leaves five AFC teams and three NFC teams whose helmets are NOT adjacent to their week one opponent. AKA 75% of teams' helmets ARE ADJACENT. But why stop there? THE COWBOYS' AND THE JETS' HELMETS ARE IN THE SAME POSITION, THUS BOTH INTERCONFERENCE GAMES OF THE WEEK ARE NOW ACCOUNTED FOR.
Now the only non-adjacent pairs are NE/MIA, KC/BUF, and ARI/CAR. But this is easily explained by my first point, that the helmets are some crystal ball into the future of this NFL season. If the helmets are ordered truly as I hypothesize, there's no way the Pats and Fins could be in the same, or even adjacent rows, now is there? A case could be made that ARI/CAR and KC/BUF are two games with teams that, pairwise, could be considered in the same-tier. But I say to you, who are we to argue with the predetermined ordering of the all-knowing NFL helmet package????
WE ARE NO ONE.
tl;dr:
Ngamer's helmet pictures are a predetermination of the NFL standings, rife with week 1 matchups of adjacent helmets. If this isn't proof positive the NFL is entirely fixed, I don't know what would be!
