Oh fuck YEAH i finally found someone online that's decent played co-op with him and got 2000note streak achievment, which is like one of the hardest to achieve

well it's actually pretty easy if you are lucky enough to find someone that's real good at the game. I might actually get 1000/1000 acheivement points one day afterall, the hardest to get is obviously 750k achievment, and only song that you can get that on is ttfaf. but I'll get it even if it takes me another year.

I hit the solo quite regularly in practice mode (rock and roll all night( just waiting for that 1 run where i hit it. then that will be FC'd

the seeker is just annoying, if I hit both the bridges I'll miss a stupid note due to nerves, or I will miss 1 in the bridge sections, i might just strum faster than I need to to make sure I hit ever note just for the 5gold stars fuckit.

Incredibly close to fc'ing Pride and Joy, miss 1 note everytime same place aswel, and it's not even a difficult part, I just need to practice it for like 1minute and I should have it down

Cherub rock when I can be bothered
need to re-fc before I forget, only got that on the wii/ps2
wanna Re-fc My curse on my career instead of quickplay using proper sp path, these are all the chorish songs i need to get out the way then it's actually onto the more difficult songs.

edit: I have a friend who is not too bad at GH come over mine, we just five starred all of expert pretty easily, only song we had trouble on was Raining Blood because he only has it 3 starred and I had to play much better than I normally do to get that five stars but it was all good in the end, that's the other hardest pain in the ass achievement that is impossibel to get if you have no good expert players handy.

Edit2: Just gold starred Cherub Rock, fucking hate the strummy parts on any song, just makes FCing them a complete BITCH.. I have no music knowledge and dont understand beats. and all that shit hard to strum with them

edit3: the seeker (100%)

can't you get 750K coop? go to scorehero forums, somebody would probably play with you who is good.

I'd help, but no 360! maybe infil will if he ever gets the version, he's getting an xbox. Not sure who else uses xbox, maybe zerg. But 750k coop is a joke

I got 990k Co-Op on "One"

But the "Now that's Impressive" achievement is quickplay or career only:( 750k on a song solo. But yeah that's another achievement I want is the "1million club" achievement that i'm 10k away on. and if you play bass on "one" it's an easy FC because it's just the joke easy parts at the start, then when it gets to the darkness riff it's that til the end of the song.

But scorehero.com forums is a good thought though. might be able to play a quick game with someone that's a load of high scores. Shame you dont have an xbox though octo.
Don't believe I've EVER beaten you!

Cheers for the suggestion Octo.

Hey you said you picked up GH skill easier because you played real guitar for like 6 years.... would I be able to pick up real guitar quickly you think? doubt it would work that way around but just a thought. thinking of gettin one.

Hmm, wish Infil and I knew about "one" being so easy, and we'd have gotten the 1 million on that instead of trying TTFAF (900K was nice though)!!

Your GH skills wont help you an ounce more than finger dexterity on a real guitar, which your right hand, knowledge, string passing ability, strength, pattern recognition, hand movements, etc., wouldn't be able to do for quite some time. To use 5 frets next to eachother like in guitar hero is unheard on a guitar - that is 5 straight notes in the chromatic scale! Rather, guitar ALWAYS skips frets, there is no such thing as a "1234" simple pattern, and instead of moving 1 fret without looking, its moving across 12, granted you can look.

You'd be a bit more dexterous though and would probably enjoy it, the thing is you don't really get to solo or play any riffs that are fast at all for quite a few months, and even playing the easiest of songs from GH would be out of the realm!

Do any of you guys play or have played Rock Band? It just came out in Europe and I think it friggin' Rocks!

Guitar section is fine, I think I'm at the last tier and 5 starred most of the songs. Drums are killing me tho, even on medium I have to pull miracles to get me through the easier songs !

Rock Band has been out for quite a while here in England I've played it, dont like it much a friend of mine put me on the hardest song there was and I passed it first try with a 4star couldn't get used to the HO/po's but that's to be expected anyway. It's fun but, Guitar Hero requires more skill. I prefer it for the challenge.

Rock Band is fun though the guitar sucks never played the drums, Want to give it a go. But one thing I noticed was that I could see about 6 or 7 songs that were actually from GH3 anyway :-/ dunno what that's all about.

It's just too expensive for me if I had the money to waste I'd definitely buy it.

Not "waste" but you know what I mean.

Beat Lou on Hard! Figured out the part where it's two notes, one chord rapidly, and did it on my first try. Also beat TtFaF, 158,746. If I can learn the intro I might be able to do it on Expert...

I predict a riot
Peace of mind

I'm starting to go backwards now. Can't hit the outro in "the metal" like I used to, Can't re-fc Before I forget. Can't re-5star TTFAF. only thing i'm progressing on is FC Consistency on every other song barr BiF

Edit: thanks octo.Maybe when I get a guitar I can bug you on that too?

edit2: 544k ttfaf *sigh*

edit again: 100%'d Helicopter

made like 1 mistake on mavais Garcon. this is definitely my next fc, i overlooked this song completely, thought it would be a hard FC but it's really not.

I fall at 191st on the Xbox now and 349th Across all platforms.. I'm 95 places behind Octo. Could take a while to catch up

Beat The Metal and Knights of Cydonia. Before I Forget is pretty tough, I failed Stricken twice two thirds of the way through, and it doesn't take long for 3's & 7's to overwhelm me. More practice should do it...Tier 8 is gonna suck.

FC'd Mavais Garcon shitty song. Fucked up the SP path ran over a phrase resulted in a crap score, I will re-do it tomorrow.

Re-FC'd a shit load of songs with proper SP path. i moved up a fair bit in the ranks now. I'm going to give this game a rest again, gonna watch a film or summat

5-starred Tiers 1-6 on Hard. FC'd Raining Blood and some bonus songs on Easy, should have all songs FC'd soon, then I'll try to do the same on Medium (excluding Fire and Flames).

592k ttfaf. Reckon id have gotten 600k if my guitar didn't run out of battery midway. (truth)

1st try too. and im hungover... i may play more often like this

edit - 589k ttfaf 2nd try.. sweet some consistency to it now

Shit "putting holes in happiness" is one hard as fuck song to 5star... hell I havn't even 4starred it yet, it's not failurable imo but it's full of combo breakers everywhere.

Carcinogen Crush FC'd 3attempts.... easy song, it's a good song to hear aswel might play it again in a minute. might be a bit biased because I like a lot of AFI stuff

FC'd Tina

I thought id get a 5*run of ttfaf on camera. while I was doing it I was playing AWFUL missed pretty much all of the SP phrases and hit nothing under SP entered synth death at 300k yet I still managed to five star the song.. it has to be the most unimpressive five star to ever have been recorded lol. Which is good because it means that I know I can do a hell of a lot better and 650k even looks doable for me now. but I am not playing ttfaf for score for a while im trying to concentrate on fc's at the mo.

I been trying to tie 1st place on Sabotage.. holy shit are those 2 squeezes difficult. I have gotten close a couple of times but missed due to a stupid mistake. I just want to have a #1 under my belt.

edit: iom getting really tired of these 100%'s i overstrummed on "im in the band" got the gold stars though I suppose and a shitty score

Here is that really shitty five star run on ttfaf that I was talking about lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60fEmYWaTzo
I made up SP path as i went a long at the end, this shouldn't have been a five star, but I picked up my game a LOT when I got to synth death. so perhaps it's only really worth watching at the 3:45 part onwards I guess. lol even at the very end I did terrible because I was looking at my score more than anything so missed a lot there too.

I have a long way to go to catch upto you though octo, I'm beating you on most songs but you have me beat by like 40k on a few of them, like TTL, so that will take me a while to get the hundreds of thousaands that I need to pass you, lol. I broke 23million though without realising it the other day which is nice.

Edit: shit im closer to you than I thought... 38 ranks behind.

TTL is a joke, upstrum to start the song, dont miss any SP, and thats it. I FC it except the end of the intro riff that appears a few times, no reason to mess up anywhere else imo

I already got a high score on TTL. just this morning, it even looks FCable. If I could just get the 1 part that starts right after the trills... the chords are awkward. I hit them half the time

After I uploaded my TTL score though i'm about 17 Ranks behind you now. At least we are on the same page at least.

Edit: I cannot do very well if I start the song on an upstrum...... lol

Edit: Unless you start playing again right now I might even pass you tonight. I half dont want to though because I might lose my motivation. Really wished you would play again, I swear if I had the money id buy you that fucking guitar myself.

Edit: I did it...... Finally only took months up months upon months..

Edit2: New Goal = 750k+ TTFAF (for the acheivement)

Fire and Flames - 536K (I think) and a 539K. I've had over 30K more before synth death (539 run) and I can barely keep a combo at all during the solo's so I think with more practice and a nice run, I'll get 5* no problem!

good job, kingpin! Nah, I live with my girlfriend, no more playing for me . Not many of the songs even seem that fun to me, I don't like going for reFCs etc., I basically got to where I wanted and hit all my goals!

and you'll 5* it no problem. For me, once I got to 540 consistently, it just took about 5-6 hours of solid work playing over and over to get the first half of the song down like a machine to finally 5* it. What is your mark before synth death? Mine was like 320 I think...

On the 539K run I had 300K at synth death but 330 is my best. I save SP for grinding scales and then I usually save SP for Rampagin Dragons (I have a hard time hitting some of the SP in the solo's most of the time). I don't have a lot of time playing right now because school, I work now and also need to spend time with my girlfriend, but I'm sure I can get that 5* now so I'm obviously going for it when I have time.

330K is sufficient to 5* with that path. Consider using some SP in the solos... just count 4 back from rampaging and activate there if you can at the slow easy part.

else you might need closer to 340 to 5* it, not sure how your solos are. Good luck!

Hey thanks Octo....
Dont have to stop playing just cuase you got a girlfriend, understand you can't compete anymore but just play casually. hope so anyway.

Just five starred "DragonForce = Operation Ground and Pound" FUCKING awesome song, far better than TTFAF and it's fun to play, bits of everything lots of TWIE similarities. hard as fuck solos, it's not really failurable but still fun as hell... it took me what 10 tries? to five star this song? 515.967k great fun though, might record a run of this just cuz it sounds so fucking awesome!

330k at synth death is easily good enough for a five star... first time I five starred ttfaf when I sucked at synth death and other various parts i had 336k at synth death and got a 580k so you are literally like knocking on the five stars door.

I play casually sometimes, we've got a small place and work full time, so our time at home together is pretty limited to dinner and some relaxing before bed, don't like to spend too much time on games and internet and stuff.

608k TTFAF. Should be able to get 650k. Because I missed a SP phrase just before Grinding Scales which mean't I couldn't activate SP there, and I did ablsolutely terrible on Synth death and wasted a full SP guage there. SHitty intro etc.

Re-FC'd Mavais Garcon using 3:2:2 path, didn't know exactly where to activate but I came out with an "ok" score in the end anyway, I need to try and gain 30 ranks so I can get into top 100 on Xbox... Might concentrate on ttfaf for easy points

About the guitar god thing I never realised as I dont own GH1. Althought I have five starred every GH game I own on the 360:D which is only GH2, GH3 and Aerosmith.

on a different note.. I just saw a sweet trailer for GH World tour http://www.youtube.com/wa...zAZ4VYQ&feature=rec-fresh looks pretty sweet, I will be buying this even though it will completely drain my funds

I played about 30 mins tonight.  Too out of shape to do TTFAF especially with the lag of HD without component cables.  I failed around 79%, the solos were simply unplayable (to fault mostly of my own, not the TVs!)

I did manage to choke 3s and 7s in the outro solo, FCed it up to there first try, as well as FCed the first la grange solos first try.  Most hard stuff like cliffs and TTFAF and cult was unplayable because of the lag, and my fingers and strum strength is waaaay out of shape hehe.  I forget what else I played...  oh, my curse and nothing for me here those songs are just cool and probably my favorite 2 to play.  Those, even flow, la grange solos, 3s and 7s.. that's where its at.

Not really as fun as I remember, I guess I'd just need some new songs and a working guitar to get back into it - but it looks like any next option of GH4 will cost a fortune, and it's not something I'm willing to do.

Nothing for Me here is my favourite right now too! I used to hate it when I couldn't play it but, it's starting to look FCable for me now. If I worked a lil bit on the solo's im sure I could have this song down, but I'm wanting to work on the stricken solo first.

The lag on a HD is crippling though, you wouldn't think it could mess you up so much but Id probably fail TWIE's on a bad tv even with looooong notes of the same kind to strum

edit: holy shit I can FC Nothing for me here! i only missed 4notes. 1 mistake right at the end of the song on the last section "solo3" I'm pretty consistent with everything else upto that point just scored

109thSkaterGamer264,779386 (7.0)99%822
on Nothing for me Here.

943/947 notes hit this is awesome. I remember a lil while ago I was trying to score 100k on this song I was talking to octo on aim at the time and I was so happy that I got like 101k lo lol lol

Edit 2: ahhh fuckit you have to highlight the table to see what is written, and I can't figure out how the hell to delete the table for the life of me either.

Not too impressed with the new tracklisting. But i dont know... tool is on there, who knows

Had a PFO match with JDamillio, he completely kicked my ass on ttfaf he got 861k while I got 620k. watch the run if you care to do so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rylRl_xZjCk
He's 17th on ttfaf at this moment with a better score than hellashes so it's no surprise i lost really.

not a good playlist? best setlist so far, easily. the songs are very unique, and remember a lot are picked for drums too, etc.

It's called Guitar hero though. and chances are I wont even touch the drums. if I do, i'll probably be sticking with easy/medium. I'm not saying that I dont like the setlist, we'll see. I might love it!. It's hard to imagine what the notecharts would even begin to look like. (IMO you can have a bad song with a fun notechart)

OMG: 565k TWIE's........ hit all the solo's & OMMMMMFFFG Pride and Joy FC! = 370k 62nd place. I got awesome today.

edit:2 635.5k ttfaf schweet

New setlist looks very good. I thought Assassin might be on there, great to see Lazy Eye and Up Around the Bend (my dad's a big Creedence fan). The Middle will be all my friends' favorite choice.

Finally beat Before I Forget, did #8 on Expert too, now just to beat Lou. Raining Blood took 10 tries or so, Mosh 1 didn't take all that long to learn well enough. All Setlist songs except 3's & 7's, Knights of Cydonia, Raining Blood, The Number of the Beast and One 5-starred on Hard.
