Katamari Damacy

WRs:
Gemini Diameter - 5m 20cm 3mm
Eternal 1 Diameter - 1m 34cm 4mm

Puts me into second for Katamari records on cyberscore.

Also got

Star 3 - 1:31

Beats Snap's time.  WR is 1:23 which is pretty damn fast.

Katamari Damacy:

Pisces Objects - 441
Gemini Objects - 655

Got a couple more object records back.  Pisces was pretty tough.  I kept getting around 430 with 436 being the score to beat.  Finally got a nice run.  Gemini was straight from 622.  Record was 645.

Also did several PRs on WLK.  None really worth mentioning.

Katamari again:

Cygnus Objects - 292
Cygnus Diameter - 27cm

My cygnus scores were crappy so I improved them.  Both WRs.  The diameter is nice.  5mm improvement over Lo7.  I have a pretty good route, and found that you can pick up some large objects near the end that you wouldn't expect.

Katamari Damacy WRs:

Star 4 Diameter - 1m34cm3mm
Eternal 1 Objects - 1256

Pretty shocked to beat slo_bro on the objects record on Eternal 1.  49 object improvement on his record.  Still only got 1m34cm4mm for the diameter.  I've been looking at the possibility of getting 1m34cm5mm on Eternal 1, but so far it looks extremely difficult if not impossible.

More Katamari fun:

WRs:

Corona Borealis Objects - 551
Eternal 3 - 830m76cm9mm

Other:
Eternal 3 Objects - 2390

Really proud of Eternal 3.  Beats the previous record set over 2 years ago by a pretty good amount.  The objects is a second place score.  Slowbro managed 25xx, which is nuts.  I'm up  to 29 records on cyberscore now.  Closing in on Lo7 who is down to 34.

EDIT:

We Love Katamari

Racetrack AFAP - 0:23

My first time record for either game, so that's nice.  I started off the night with a time on this stage of 59 seconds and worked it down.  Barely got the 23.  Decimal was a .96.

Nice Wabs. I've still gotta pick this game up soon. How is it compared to the first?

Was that the hardest difficulty?

It's as good as the first one, amazing game really. Not as much surprising since it's very similar but the new powers and weapons are great. Go for it if you've loved God of War 1. ;)

Yes it is the hardest setting, a nice challenge, as well as the God mode in the first episode.

Katamari Damacy:

Star 4 Completion Time - 1:54

A second place time at cyberscore and it's tape and captured which makes it the fastest vid available for the stage beating the 1:56 by Slowbro.  Not bad for starting out with 2:42 and then getting down to 1:54 in less than an hour.

And...

Star 6 Completion Time - 1:42

5 second untied and also taped.  With this I pass Lo7 for cyberscore records on Katamari Damacy.  I have 32 against his 31.  Not bad for starting out with 2:19 and getting down to 1:42 in about an hour.

Beats Snap.  1st on Cyberscore, but someone on the Katamari forums claims a 4:48.  Taped.

It's a really fun game.  The controls are tough to get the hang of at first, and really difficult to master to the point of approaching the top times, but after a while they become second nature.

I've just recently gotten to the point where I am very confident of my control of spin-dashes(probably to hardest thing to get a hang of), so I'm finally trying my hand at some of the speed times.  Such as this:

Star 3 Completion Time - 1:16
:D

A huge 7 second untied on a fairly short stage makes me happy.  Same basic route as Snap's with a few changes and a whole lot more spindashing than he did in his 1:32 vid.

Also:

Star 3 Diameter - 1m 2cm 0mm

Tied WR.  I also had a couple other PRs I'm not going to bother listing.

EDIT:
I have katamari videos online.  Links to the vids can be found at:

z9.invisionfree.com/Katamari_Damacy/index.php?showtopic=2722

Katamari

Star 4 Completion Time - 1:47

Star 5 Completion Time - 2:29

Both WRs.  I wasn't happy with my 1:54 on star 4 since it was 5 second off the WR and I noticed a couple of places where more time could be saved.  Star 5 I worked down from 3:33 to this 5 second untied in a little more than an hour.  Not really that great of a run, but lots of stupid random things can ruin a run on Star 5 so I'm happy for now.

By the way, Slowbro is offering bounties for new videos from either katamari game that beat the current runs on SDA.  $10 per video up to $100.  I've already been paid $30 for Star 4 - 1:54, Star 6 - 1:42 and Racetrack AFAP - 0:23 from WLK.  With my newest stuff I'm up to $60 total.:evil
He won't pay any more until the runs actually make it on SDA, which is fair since that was one of the original conditions.  Pretty cool to get paid for playing a video game.  It isn't a huge amount, but it isn't exactly chump change either.;)

Marshallow did 100% in 2:55:01, but yours doesn't sound too bad considering you just did it for the heck of it over two days.  His was a single segment run though.  The run is on SDA by the way.

what nonsense, I happen to think Banjo is great stuff to be watching for hours. I have also watched both sub 5 hour runs on OoT, they're about 1,5x as long as Kazooie (about same as Tooie) and much more boring.. not like subjective matters matter.

I have watched the BK run about 5 times overall and I never got bored, it's full of action.

Something I'd recommend is watching the two sub 5 hour OOT runs at the same time. While watching, I pressed in my stopwatch from time to time to see how much ahead the new run was. I'm doing the same with the DK64 runs, watched half an hour sofar.

Played through Banjo Kazooie casually a few days ago 100% and got 4:54.

Then played it through again 100% trying to go a little faster and got 3:54. I had to do furnace fun about 5-6 times... either a skull question owned me or a skull question that was a grunty one that I didn't know (didnt really talk to any brentildas). Oh yeah, mr. vile was terrible too.

Katamari Damacy:

Star 2 Size - 38cm7mm
Cancer Objects - 327 objects

Both tied WRs.  Star 2 wasn't too bad, although I struggled with getting 38cm5mm a month ago.  38cm8mm is possible.  Cancer was tough to get.  Once you get around 300 objects, there's not much left to pick up and time is limited.

Up to 40 records on cyberscore now.

EDIT:

And these were done a while ago.

Star 2 Completion Time - 0:49

Star 9 Completion Time - 4:52
Ursa Major - 2:26

Ursa Major is fastest time to catch the Kintaro Bear(the largest you can capture) using my own strat.  I really don't like stages like this where capturing one bear ends the run, but Slowbro was offering $20 for a good run, so I went ahead and did it.  Beats his own 4:55 by a nice amount.  Somebody claims a 4:47 on Star 9 on the katamari forums, but my 4:52 is a cyberscore record at least.

Not really a PR but a few days ago, I finally got my last highscore on MGS2 Substance's missions.
For those who don't know the game, there are not less than 511 missions available ! Once you beat a mission, you get a score and for each mission, there's a target to reach, a highscore.
I'm really glad I finally got them all!
MGS2 Substance is really the perfect game for competition, too bad nobody here seems to have it... :\

<read if bored>

One of the first (maybe even first) games my brother had for the Gameboy was Wave Race (1994). I played this a lot, because there's a time trial mode with an on-screen timer and it saves records. For no reason, I did the same as we do here with GE, PD, TS, etc; playing for a tough goal, until the point where it gets boring.

During 2005, I played it much and I always took it with me on holidays, for during traveling, etc. When we came back from vacation in Czech Republic in summer 2005, I suddenly couldn't find the game anymore. I searched my whole room multiple times, but never found it. After a while I just accepted that I had lost it somewhere during that vacation.

July 2nd, 2007, my brother asked me, out of nowhere, if I had his Gameboy games, because he wanted to put his games in his Gameboy bag to keep it organized (fact: he hadn't touched his Gameboy 5+ years and the reason he wants his games is only because they're his, not to keep it organized or whatever. I mean, if it was up to him, he'd have V-Rally for N64 in his room, just because he owns that game. Obviously, there's completely no point in having ''your'' game that you never play in your room, when there's someone else who once in a while thinks ''hey, let's play that for once''.). To his question, I reply that I have them, except for Wave Race, because I lost that. Completely to my surprise, he replies that he already has Wave Race...... So he must've taken it right after our holiday in 2005 for the reasons I mentioned and never said it (probably because he never thought I'd miss it). Obviously, I immediately requested to have the game and have been playing it since getting it back.

</read if bored>

The programmers horribly screwed up the timer for this game. One game unit in this game doesn't last a second, like it should be, but about 1.95 seconds. The times after the date are times of the laps in that race. (550 CC is 2 laps, 650 CC is 3 and 800 CC is 4)

Played some Katamari today.

Katamari Damacy:

Virgo Diameter - 3m80cm3mm
Corona Borealis - 2m69cm2mm

Virgo was easy.  Don't know why I had trouble with it before.  First completion I beat Lo7's cyberscore record with 3m97cm7mm and I played again to break 3m80cm.

Corona beats Lo7's previous record by only 1mm.  Very tough to get, and it frustrated me in the past since I couldn't figure out how to get much over 2m67cm.

More Katamari Damacy.

Star 7 Completion Time - 2:43
Star 7 Diameter - 11m38cm1mm

2:43 isn't a WR, but it beats Slow Bro's 2:48 for fastest video.  Diameter is a tied WR.  Kind of a pain to get.  I slowly worked up from the 11m21cm I had a couple days ago.

Beginning Titan mode on God of War II ;)

Passed the Challenges with a Titan rank in all but the second.

The second challenge is the one where you have to kill people in the air right?
That's indeed the hardest, it took me a while to get Titan on this!
Anyway, since you've got 6/7 Titan ranks, that means you have unlocked the Arena of the Fates I guess. It can be useful to practice fighting on some ennemies, I wish I had that when I was doing Titan Mode... ;)
