In North America, daylight savings officially starts when the race starts. One less hour to degen.

For those who missed it live, here are the results:

Pretty typical result. The fact that 17 people entered made it the biggest, most enjoyable and most intense race we've had. There was another race after but only 11 entered.

This is definitely becoming a weekly thing. All you have to do is turn on your stream next Sunday at the same time and play the game. The timeslot seems to suit many people.
Look at those results. So amazing.  All you need to do is take out 45 minutes from your Sunday. This should definitely become a thing again.

Agreed with Ace. I think it'd be fun as fuck to get races happening again, whether it be legit agent RTA or some kind of gimmicky cheat combo.

i'd be down with races, doing it on SRL might be something we don't care about though, just an extra step for randos trying to race. p sure most eliters don't attract enough viewers by just being on SRL to be anywhere near worth it anyway

How would you be doing races not on SRL? The LiveSplit integration is SRL, lol.
Who cares who races with us, We still end up racing.  :v

"Worth it", to race? What's worth it would be racing in the first place.

why would you need livesplit to do a race when we can coordinate it ourselves?

why would you need livesplit to do a race when we can coordinate it ourselves?

It incorporates the SRL bot directly, giving everyone an undelayed countdown (so no start discrepancies), it's a very commonly used split program which is easy to use, and it allows anyone to jump on in for a race. Why does it seem like you're trying to be a catalyst for (further) separation of The-Elite and SRL? It's confusing seeing as SRL is all about racing...

fuck livesplit

I only suggested LiveSplit because it's easy to use, especially as a potential first-time racer as opposed to figuring out the RaceBot on the SRL site and holding everyone up, lol.

If people are INTERESTED (I sincerely HOPE they are!) in this, we can use this timing again:

2am, this Saturday night/early Sunday morning (so this will be 8am Sunday morning Europe time, 6pm on Sunday Australia time, 11pm Saturday Pacific Time, etc)

SO THAT MEANS TOMORROW OR TODAY DEPENDING ON YOUR TIMEZONE

Come on, let's bring back these fantastic races again! It's healthy to take a break from ILs once in a while to take part in these amazing Agent races!

I don't know what "australia time", "pacific time", "europe time" are, there are like 4 different time zones in each of those.

Quoted a Goose post from a while ago. Anyway it's 7am GMT (3am Eastern, 3pm Perth, 6pm Melbourne, etc).. if that's too early for Europeans we can push it an hour further maybe?

Hey guys,

Jezz & I are planning on doing a GE any% race Sunday at 4pm Melbourne Time (so around 10am for me, midnight Saturday for Americans, etc). I think we should put aside our salt for a while and have a big, healthy race again. They're always fun. :)

God... you know Melbourne is just +3 from Perth. Different places in Europe are only like an hour apart. That post was so unnecessary.

Race on Sunday, 29th January @ 1am ET

A few chaps have shown interest,

Goose and Flicker also expressed interest. I will also be participating since my holidays have started.

Would be great if we can get 10+ people in. It's set at a time convenient for most Eliters, but if anyone has any issues with the timing let me know so we can see if adjusting it is possible. Remember it's only a 30 minutes thing and will be a lot of fun!

Well, after the disappointingly low turnout and lack of interest in the race, I've decided to step down as the Official Elite Race Coordinator (OERC) and this was my last coordinated race. It is truly disheartening to see the death of RTA races and how we will never see something like this again.

This was the results of today's race:

Amazing race! Although we all were pissed off only minutes in, I think we were too hard on ourselves. Getting a bunch of insane times in under an hour isn't easy. Needs good planning and risk management as well.

Thanks dsx, Goose & Sammy! Hoping more people will race this category next time. We might even bump the time up to 90 minutes. 60 might be too few.

Leaderboards

Luke: 562 points
Green: 481 points
Randy: 431 points
clash: 243 points
dsx: 150 points
flicker: 117 points
Qweczol: 0 points
Ace: 0 points
Birdie: 0 points
ragequit: 0 points
swiss: 0 points
Ov: 0 points
Eise: -10 points
Jimbo: DQ'd

GREAT race. Thanks to all who showed up and made it fun! Highlight of this race is probably Randy's Surface 2 Agent 0:47 achieved in the 59th (very last) minute. And possibly Jono spending 45 minutes on Streets 00 Agent.

Jimbo, this is the 3rd time you've said you would join a race but never showed up. This is unacceptable, and so you've been blacklisted from my races.

Mates! We have another race scheduled on:

Sunday 5th March, 2017 @ 1am ET

category is once again: MOST points in 60 minutes of GoldenEye play!

Remember this race isn't about competition, but rather it's a healthy get-together to have a fun time talking to each other in Discord, etc.
