Hey guys,

As most of you know, I started to play online. That's why the WR topic was so inactive lately. ;)  I'd like to play some guys here online. So if you're up to it send me a friend request. My online name is: SV Phoenix (Yup!! I'm in Seventh Heaven). :D

Do you have the newer version (small one) or the older?

For the newer you only need a cross cable.

An old PS2 you would need an network adapter. The slim PS2 has one built in. If you have online capabilities it's very simple to hook up to the internet for online play.

I used to play this online from time to time, but haven't in quite a while. Maybe I'll give it another shot some day in the near future.

Yeah, you should be able to find one without too much trouble (they're rather plentiful around here). But expect to pay $40 or so for one.

Alright! I'll see what I can do.

One more question (Which may seem stupid)

Do you need to run a program while you are online? I know... dumb question, but I want to make sure.

My online nick is ThACE6;)

Don't expect me to come online though. My brother is always doing stuff with the computer (when I'm not there) and we don't have a router (that works), unfortunately.

I can try in the near future though!

I wouldn't mind playing online, but I'd first have to get the PS2 network adapter or whatever it is.

oh ok, if he doesn't even stand a chance against you, he must be weaker than lapogne was when he began (lapogne was about like you (when you began), maybe a bit weaker)

no. would have been nice to play against him. I'm wondering if he would be able to do as good as the best current players.

anyway you play more cleverly phoenix!
I've improved my skills a lot since the beginning, now when I'm warmed up, I can destroy someone at middle range in 1s with double machineguns!

What's the deal with this now?

I just was on the GameFAQs boards, and it seems that both XBL and PS2 online servers are going down in the next few weeks..

I've always wanted to play online, but have a chipped Malaysian PS2 (with DVD game copy of TSFP), a 360 (on which my TSFP disk is not back compatible), an X-box (where a new Live account cannot be created anymore) and the Gamecube version (which is obviously not online).

4 consoles, 3 copies of TSFP, and I still won't be able to give the online game a try before it becomes extinct!

Guess I could use a mate's old XBL name, or something...

So how good are the people on there? I've got a feeling I'd give my ass handed to me. Anyone going to play in this 'final era' of TSFP online?

Any ideas on how I can get an online game with the above situation?

I can't believe I could have so many consoles and copies of the game, and not be able to manage it..

Bloody Microsoft :rolleyes

Well, I managed to get on Xbox live in the end... Was crap tbh...

I don't know if it's cheating or some kind of technical 'lag' thing, but the other players move around really 'jerkily' - almost seems like they are teleporting all over the place.

Also, they are obsessed with having proximity mines in 1 shot kill games..

I got totally owned, either way...

yeah the game is pretty laggy. and noobs doesn't want to improve so bad that they use the cheapest settings you can imagine. there are still a few good games, especially when they are hosted by good players(usually there is no one shot kills and settings are ctb or tdm on maps such as subway, hotel or bunker for example)
