I'm pretty sure Luke didn't mention it in his tutorial, this is a short example of both boost-lure shooting spots at the first part of Caverns Agent. It helped Birdie, so I'll just leave it here.

Luke did cover it, yeah. Dude covered everything, m8.

That's a completely different boost lure. Luke himself said it's an unlikely boost and does not recomend going for it. The one I did on the video and Wodahs in his 101 is a very likely one.

I would have to double check my tutorial, from memory I made a mistake when talking about the second boost lure, probably where the confusion comes from. The one Dan did in his 101 and the one Clem attempted to get on his 101 is the boost I Meant to talk about.

Quite different format to other tutorials, but it's something I wanted to create for a long time (did some self-learning today for once).

Serves as a proof of concept, I think once perfected it'd be great for quick WR tutorials.

This thread is pretty helpful, why does it need to be spammed with Ace's retarded posts? We've all heard him talk about making tutorials dozens of times and then the same thing always happens as he says "not making it anymore" whatever etc. If you wanna make a tutorial then cool do it, if not then you should maybe stop acting like a 12 year old with these attention-hungry posts. To be completely honest, anyone who wanted a good aztec time could have probably gotten it by now as well if they were to study vids, ask questions etc. so it's not even like the tutorial would be life-changing  :nesquik:

I honestly don't know what's up with him nowadays, I mean, he shouldn't be disappointed at all for people not voting on him in the 'Who will be the first one who gets Cradle 34/34/34 topic'.
Seems he deleted that post, so RIP proof of him saying that :kappa: but I'm sure he did.

Great job on all of the recent record m8s but I seriously cannot believe I am on the verge of dropping to 57xx points. I might have to eventually dig out the N64, but even when I do I'll only have motivation for NEET records (Aztec 132, Control 403, etc) rather than stale stuff like 0:35s.

It will be hype if he gets under 50 points in MBR on all difficulties and eventually Surface 2 A/SA. As I said before, it takes literally 20-30ish minutes to complete runs on MBR with the new Cass strat.
Cradle will take longer maybe, but Ace's point drop will be so real :nesquik:

Also reading that post, seems you will go for the Time Ranks anyway if you're going to ever play again :nesquik: :nesquik: :nesquik:

Those posts were a joke reference between me and dsx and I never expected other people to get so salty about them, so chill mate. Also, the tutorial WOULD be life-changing. When people go mental over meaningless records like Depot 0:47, Cradle 0:35, etc. just imagine how ecstatic they'd be with a 97 or 100 pointer on Aztec SA.

I know I haven't accomplished anything in GE since mid 2014, but let's be real here. Anything I did that year and the years prior have been far more relevant than any record this year (with the exception of Train 0:57 and possibly Depot 0:39), a year mostly filled with the most boring, degenerate, monotonous strats made for robots and very average world records that only contribute towards the Elite's downfall towards irrelevancy. Gone are the days when we would see Facility, Aztec, Control, Silo, etc. world records every other week or month.

Oh god this conversation again... I bet that if several psychologists watched the-elite for a while, they would re-name some already known condition as "relevance complex". One thing that NOT having Aztec tutorials accomplishes for sure is that no new players want to play the level, and they lean towards playing crappy point farm levels. But we can't demand anything or bully you forever into making them, it's only a matter of your good will. One thing for sure, it would be incredible if you indeed made the tutorial!

Had been meaning to make this tutorial for awhile, finally got to it since my cap card sound seems maybe totally fried now anyway so haven't been going for any PRs.

Just a quick display of lookdown lag vs birdie's normal lookup.

I assume keeping the 'frames' in the top right at 2 (some minor jumps to 3) is the closest you'll get to no lag. There's some areas where you can get 1 'frames' displayed & 60hz but unlikely you'll ever get that on a run.

Also, small note: on all levels, being unarmed gives a ~5% higher texture memory percentage.

Very neat stuff! Is that to say that being Unarmed can occasionally create more lag frames if the percentage goes too high?

I know when you disarm yourself during a multi-player game by selecting unarmed your opponent’s auto-aim will not function. Will this work in individual levels or will the guards aim always be the same? I just thought of this and I have a long day today at Strickland so I won’t be home to try this.

I've never heard about holding all three C buttons when switching from right to left strafe before. Does this actually save time? Even if it saves tenths of a second I'm desperately trying to save time on Bunker right now.

Well it saves the amount of time it takes from you to move your thumb from C left to C right which is pretty insignificant but if you can do it without trouble then by all means.

If you switch strafes and your thumb goes off either button for a few frames you do lose full speed. over time it may add up to tenth(s) depending on the level. Save the frames

Not an in-depth tutorial, but something to get players started on this level, without having to play 20h without completing anything close to decent.
