Very nice

It would be better with just the long name across the goose imo. Would also allow for a more compact logo. Having both name + abbreviation in the exact same font on it is unnecessary clutter to me. If I was to edit that, I'd also do something against that blurry glow on head and feet of the goose. Just givin some feedback ya know no homo stay true.

Yeah the site idea is great but no one will ever care about updating these things so it will always stay an irrel site with very outdated data.

it's a very rough draft. The guy who is making it is going to give me several versions in several colours, including just the plain Goose logo with no text, which I plan to use for my companies. Going to found White Goose Holdings and White Goose Entertainment as a subsidy soon.

another thing which crossed my mind was: do you want this to only reflect your GE running, or your whole repertoire? like a Mario star for the gooses eye could be cool, or it could look horribly lame.. it'd have to be tested first ofc

I'm not sure what your goal with the logo is exactly but I'll just say that in general simpler is always better.

For some great examples see the Nike 'tick' and also Mcdonalds 'M'.

I personally would recommend stripping everything and just having the white goose, no letters or anything. If the goose has a gun that reflects GE and if it has a star for an eye that can be mario. But again, the simpler you get with it the better and the more memorable. It's counter intuitive but rookies always over complicate shit and it's their downfall.

you're right Karl, but for a company like Nike or Apple it's on a whole different level to a players signature picture or w/e you want to call it. I think for this kind of design there is some room to be naff / kitch / have a bit of fun, whereas for a multi-billion dollar company it's essential that they simplify their logo down to its purest most memorable form. idk what I'm trying to say, this is a flow or consciousness post... I always liked Illu's logo though, the black and white one with the heart. watch his b1 17 to see it at the start

actually I've changed my mind and Phil is right. the green colour for RWG makes it work now. fuck the watch menu, fuck the full name down the bottom. the nice thing about it being just the goose filled with text is that it can be cut out, put on any coloured background, and basically be more flexible - instead of having a clumsy square image which looks more like an album cover than a logo

I agree with what Karl said. The pause menu thing I posted is just the avatar for Twitch, possibly other speedrun forums. Just something to identify that this is indeed "rwhitegoose the goldeneye player."

And the reason it's the "watch laser" is because it's the cleanest watch menu pause screen I could find. I might eventually edit one down so it's solid black with the health bars, and the goose in the middle. As clean as a whistle.

This, unfortunately, is the type of reasoning that keeps small businesses small. Nike et. al. don't have great logos because they are multi billion dollar companies, they are multi billion dollar companies because they know how to make a great logo. Don't fall into the trap of thinking the good ideas happen 'after' the success, it's actually the other way around.

If you want your brand to become bigger, start thinking like a big brand. Minimal is always better. Learn from the pros.

Btw shadow, aside from the fact that your inability to think conceptually probably means youll never make it in the business world, your logic is flawed. You are implying if A requires B then that means B is all that is needed for A. So you are (incorrectly) extrapolating extra meaning onto what i said. Just because A requires B does not mean that is doesnt also require C, D, or E.

They are billion dollar businesses because they know how to create a good logo. Thay doesnt mean that is the only prerequisite, and given the fact that we are talking about logos anyone with half a brain would not expect me to list every other off topic attribute a successful business requires if it wants to make billions. Your brain is there for a reason please use it.

I like that logo Goose. There's a lot of empty space though, perhaps if the health/body armor bars were much smaller, say starting at the head and going down to the feet?

IMO its too much of a real goose, and not a "logo goose". which means it should be a form that hints to a Goose but is not as obvious as the current one you are working with
