You've reiterated the same basic Google-worthy/common sense points in most of your replies in this thread. We're all human beings perfectly capable of reading here.

Noob gains are real = yes
You need to eat lots to gain lots = yes
You gain body fat and muscle mass when you bulk = yes

People talking in this thread have this knowledge and the motivation/drive to exercise in the first place. This is not the place where people with questions will normally go. That place would be Google or YouTube. Or a local gym. Even someone's DAD who used to train in a basement or garage at some point.

You've trolled too long here to be worthy of any type of valuable information for anyone at all. That's all I'M saying.

Alec - Stop taking the bait. If he posts something intelligent and thought-provoking, go ahead, but you've got more important things to worry about anyway.

MMA - Don't insult others and resort to name-calling. You're allowed to post in this topic and debate about fitness and nutrition, but keep it civil.
Embrace the grind.

If you have points to make and you aren't making them clearly or others are not seeing your perspective on it, you don't just repeat them louder and louder the same way. You change how you convey the information. If you want to stop being a troll then do so, otherwise "lol".

bench 107kg/236lbs fail

obj A fail :kappa:

This was a total crap shot tbh I knew I barely had a chance at this point, wanted to try it though because at christmas I broke my bench pr with a 104kg after like 2 month break. This time I have like a 6 month break behind and only worked out on and off for 2 months so far this year.

Not as strong as I used to be, but managed this yesterday (spotter last two sets of bench):

Bench strict style:
60 kg / 132 lbs x 10.
100 kg / 220 lbs x 5.
105 kg / 231 lbs x 4.
107.5 kg / 237 lbs x 4.
110 kg / 243 lbs x 3.
112.5 kg / 248 lbs x 2.
100 kg / 220 lbs x 4-5.

Incline dumbbell press:
25 kg / 55 lbs x 10-12.
35 kg / 77 lbs x 6-8?
37.5 kg / 83 lbs x 6.
40 kg / 88 lbs x 6.
30 kg / 66 lbs x ?

Squat

105kg (231) x1
120kg (265) x2
130kg (287) x2
120kg (265) x4
100kg (220) x6-8?
120kg (265) x2
130kg (287) x1

1rm is 135kg (298) so I should PR soon, probably before the year ends, going for at least 140 (309), though 145 (320) would be nice even numbers both in kg and lbs :P

1 Rep Max Bench Press 265 lbs (120 kg).

In the grand scheme of big bois, this isn't all that impressive.

I feel like if I worked out with a partner and had a spotter, it would've given me a little bit more of that "RAWR!-factor." Elbow and wrist straps might've provided minimal physical benefit, but perhaps a nice psychological edge as well.

One of the many factors that I feel hinders me (no excuses, bois!) is that being in the military prohibits me from straight dirty bulking and getting monstrous. One day, hopefully, I will be able to hit that exquisite 305 lb (138 kg) press.

Cheers, fam... miss ya'll

Jeez. That was fucking crazy to do raw w/o a spotter. Good lift/form though.

That form was cringe but grats! You really gotta prepare for the lift better next time and never lower the weight till  you lock it out on top. Would recommend more of the "powerlifter" type form with legs placed further back.and back more.arched. the only things on the bench should be your butt and shoulder blades and you gotta really squeeze the bar and stay tighter. Lifting like that will cause an injury eventually in your shoulder most likely because you aren't tight enough.

Grats on the pb thoigh, I also wish I had a consistent gym lifting partner and have been slacking lately. But sometimes it is better to be alone so you don't get distracted,  if you do have a partner they need to be someone serious.

Yea it's easy to learn to do any lift correctly these days when we have great youtube vids like this one:

You may need to watch several vids or rewatch same vid few times and practise alot with light weight to learn and understand all of this fully. You seem to have a good strength base already Shawn, just saying there's great resources these days out there that can help you that you may not be aware off if you aren't a degenerate like me who watches youtube vids all day :P
