Firstly I must ask that we have civilized, serious discussion in this thread and do not close it or move it elsewhere for at least 72 hours.
"Marcus Stryker" is not a real person. This is not a real name. Part of what makes the GE rankings the GE rankings, is that we use real names. Marc R is acceptable. "Marcus Stryker" is not.
Furthermore, "Marcus Styker" has used a converter to play NTSC on PAL, which has been PROVEN to run the game faster in real time. Game time for this converter has unknown effects; which is why I propose, in the name of keeping the rankings accurate, we remove "Marcus Stryker" from the rankings while an investigation and conclusion on the effects of a cartridge converter on in game time are examined.
"Marcus Stryker" is a very sick person who is having negative effects on this community. He is not welcome here by anyone and this has been apparent on the forum in the past week or two. He needs to be gone from this community and I believe his recent actions as well as his converter use give a reasonable argument for this.
I propose;
- "Marcus Stryker" temporarily removed from the rankings
- an investigation held regarding effect of converter use on Goldeneye's in game timer
- if the investigation concludes that "Marcus Stryker's" play has been legitimate, he has the opportunity to be reinstated to the rankings as "Marc Rutzou" or "Marc R"
Please give your inputs on this matter and let's have a serious, civilized discussion about this.
If this thread does not stay open, in this forum for 72 hours I will remake it repeatedly until one does do so.
