2012 saw the revival of GoldenEye when Goose and I returned and streaming speedruns on Twitch became mainstream. 100% became popular among top players, Facility saw a new strat that led to an entire second being cut on all three difficulties, people started to stream and there were 15 seconds of untieds. 2013 was arguably better with GoldenEye making its first ever appearance in a GDQ, 11 strong untieds happening throughout the year, an exponential increase in the game's popularity and an influx of players. In 2014, we saw two groundbreaking strategies that cut over 10 seconds from the total time, 20 seconds of untieds, 186 total world records (for the record, the number hasn't been that high since 2007 which was probably the most popular year for the game in the Elite's history), and an even greater increase in the game's playerbase, including top, rising players like Justin.

The game is getting more popular by the day and instead of the game getting closer to maxed we're breaking more records. Will this trend continue in 2015 or will we finally see a dead-year after a 3-year streak of crazy activity? Post what you THINK will happen in 2015, in this thread. This is different from the Sylvester Tip in that you can post whatever you think will happen as opposed as what records will happen.

For example, something like:

- New OOB strategy on Train, 25 seconds cut from the total time;
- Marc gets an untied sweep on Aztec;
- Jimbo still struggles to beat Caverns 00 Agent 1:36 in December;

lol, Thanks for remembering me but I think I lost any such aspirations about 15 years ago. The last time I fired up GE and was grinding Cradle, my wife asked me "why" and I didn't have a good answer

I used to compete at everything: GE, PD, TWINE, all the F-Zero games (I think I was in the top ten for the combined F-Zero boards), Mario Karts, Mario Party, Metroid runs, Zelda mini games, even still hold most of the records for Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (not that the competition was ever that steep). I think those days ended along with my single-hood. Now if I ever have time to play anything I prefer to work on my backlog of games to just finish.

- Clemens gets Facility 0:43 THIS month. It is a TNS 0:43 but he says "whatever, good enough imo". He also gets a 21:5x prior to that. Also gets 0:44 in SM any%. He visits Indonesia TWICE this year.
- The AGDQ race ends up being a disaster. There are only 40k concurrent viewers. Everyone chokes. The race isn't close at all and Jimbo ruins Goose's amazing commentary.
- Noone's quality of stream improves. Goose remains the only one partnered with 25k followers and the rest of us stream boring runs with the normal 5-20 viewers.
- Dam 0:52 still doesn't happen. 1:16/1:55 remain untied.
- Facility 0:51 FINALLY happens. B1 0:20 does not. The 100% WR is lowered to 59:xx.
- Despite playing the game continuing to break his personal records, Jimbo gets kicked out of top 10 by Wodahs, Justin and others.
- VA 2015 becames the least watched and most boring event of the year (if it even happens).
- Luke makes another retirement thread sometime this year. He, however, continues to play the game.
- Lockwood wins the lottery. The gaming house becomes an actual thing. He lives a Dan Bilzerian esque lifestyle.
- DD continues his PD LTK/DLTK dominance.
- AdamAK, Joshimuz and others are invited to Notch's $70m mansion.
- Lockwood has new goals of getting Dam SA 1:16, Silo SA 1:08, Aztec SA 1:31, Train 1:00 and Silo 1:00 (this is until he wins the lottery, after which these goals become void).
- Marc spends 200 hours on Streets and gets dual 1:54s. He also (un)ties other random world records.
- By the end of the year dsx has approximately 40 alts. So many that Twitch launches an investigation.
- No new strats are discovered. Overall a dead year for GE with very few untieds.
- An 8-way race happens at AGDQ 2015. Luke gets closed doors at the end of the 3rd room on Silo, gets extremely salty and leaves the room after throwing and breaking his controller. As a result, during the actual AGDQ race he has to use another controller which results in him getting last place.
- Trent Hovis posts a random strategy which involves unscrewing the N64 in the middle of a run, and unplugging a few wires. The idea is shot down immediately and Trent is permanently banned from the Elite forums.
- I stream regularly in summer. My stream blows up, I get donations and AGDQ 2016 is a real thing for me. All eliters buy tickets. AGDQ 2016 ends up being a 100% race between Clemens and me.
- Jimbo gets married. Makes another retirement thread at the end of the year.
- MH370 is found.
- Someone offers Wodahs $1000 to shave his moustache on stream. He delivers.
- 1:41:xx happens in 120 star. 70 star WR is improved but still remains 48:xx.
- OoT any% WR is improved to 18:05.
- There is a Swedish meet sometime after summer. Henning is there and gets Caverns SA 1:13 while everyone else is in the kitchen.

- Clemens on his 2nd visit to indo. for the year takes one of the cheaper flights,
to fit the trip within his budget. The plane disappears and Clemens is never seen from again.

- Marc finally has found his own with his brothers of the truth contest, they all decide
to take the final leap to final unknown, and all drink from the ritual juice to meet their makers.

- Luke spends over 150 hours trying to get facility 52 00A and over 200 on Frigate agent. When both of
which are caked by JustinDT, depressed Luke stops going to work and becomes homeless again.

- Many missing persons cases are linked to Bryan Bosshardt who is discovered to have kidnapped and
Murdered over 15 people. Footage of their final moments is found among Boss's organized GE/PD
video library leads to a guilty verdict.

- Karl Jobst becomes impotent and loses all confidence in himself and his ability to be relevant
in the elite community.

- Jimmy Bauer is never heard from again.

- Jim Barrett is murdered by Rachel in a fit of rage after Jimbo screams at Goldeneye for the 10,000th
time while going for some 90pt'er. Friends and family scatter his ashes across Lambeau Field.

- Ilari Pekkala eventually moves on from playing games and doesn't quite find what he is looking for.

- Ryan Koch gets in a tragic accident after a night out at the bar losing his ability to move the
Left side of his body, ending his Goldeneye career before breaking the top 10.

- Eise Smit commits suicide after a year of his job as an IT. He believes that there are just too many
stupid people in this world, that it just isn't worth living any more.

- Alex Anderson has all of his Nintendo collectibles stolen after a carded twitch viewer finds out where
He lives.

- Kirkness continues to isolate himself from everyone, even though he brings happiness to those around him.

- Daniel Coelho has permanent nerve damage the prevents him from using his left hand, depressed and dejected
he fails to amount to anything.

- Jonathan Hotiniski continues to try to find opportunities in film making and editing only to be discouraged
that his infamous Deep in the Degeneracy documentary is widely used as an example of how not to make a documentary.

- Kyle Wiebenga and Erik Liikala try to establish the (D)LTK house, only to have a falling out between each other
When competition to lower WAR reaches a violent conclusion.

- Eric Bond on the verge of getting Depot SA 0:39 gets sniped by ace early in the year. Out of some sort of spite
he puts all his money saved up on Black on the roulette table only to have it land on 00.

- Philip Bezgoubov continues to try and impress those around him with his talents only to have others expect
more than he is capable of. This continued mental torture leads to his retirement.

- Ryan White has his twitch channel closed after being accused of harassment of other people on twitch.
He unsuccessfully trys to expand his efame through a number of pursuits and ends up an intern for the local
radio station monitoring sound equipment and announcer's coffee amounts.

- Cliff Hampton dies of old age.

- Austin dies of dehydration when grinding for bunker 1 17 during the summer elite league.

- Ryan Lockwood sees the downward spiral that all of his comrades of the-elite are falling into and finally
cleans up his act and goes back to college. He does extremely well and gets accepted into Harvard Law
never looking back at his life of degeneracy

- JustinDT moves on to OoT since there seems to be no worthy compition by the end of 2015. There he obtains the
coveted No B1 Skip WR and CD WR's which no one even cared about.

1. After 500 hours and 5,000+ legit fails I finally complete a Frig 23 only to find Ace has posted 0:22 just minutes ago.
2. Phil gets S2 00A 1:23 on the run of his life, but as he is waiting out the cinema his dog Bendy, alarmed by the presence of the mailman downstairs decides to barge into his room knocking and freezing his N64. No one ever sees the time screen. Proceeds to degen Aidyn Chronicles which ends up becoming the next OoT thanks to interest from Cosmo and Caleb Hart.
3. The Goldeneye Race at AGDQ is a complete disaster: Daniel chokes facility 3 times in a row before punching his console and leaving the room, Bosshardt has trev die to a nade explosion on Statue and has a heart attack and dies, I die on Streets 3 runs in a row in the exact same spot before leaving the room and Lockwood cruises to victory with a time of 24:36.
4. 200+ WRs are achieved throughout the year.
5. Erik gets Depot 39, gets a job offer and bangs his sisters hot friend on the same day!
6. Wodahs finally cracks (Think Russell Crow from A Beautiful Mind) while working out the perfect Runway 00A Strat for 0:34 speed runs. Causes controversy all over the news that Speedrunning is not a safe activity. 
7. Stivitybobo comes out of retirement to play Goldeneye and make the top 50 by the end of the year, Runnerguy gets points on the Rankings, 1 Prominent Super Metroid player gets a GE WR and Cosmo ties Denis Lucid's Defection PA 1:20 sometime in July.
8. Spec wins a large sum of money playing online poker and we never hear from him again.
9. Ryan Lockwood, fueled by the hype of winning the AGDQ race and hanging out with all the Speedrunners goes on a tear, making it into the top 10 before being accepted into Harvard to study Law.
10. Adam Bozon finally watches the Bunker 2 WR videos by accidentally clicking on the wrong youtube link, but by combining his route with the WR route successfully re-routes the level ending up with 8 seconds cut on SA and 00A combined.
11. Illu gets Dam 52 but fails to do 52 consecutive push-ups on stream.
12. Sammy Rodgers gets his first 1-liner.
13. Troubleclef finally gets Caverns 1:01 after a torturous 2-month long grind, only to discover he was playing SA all along.
14. Twiii switches to Fullscreen and cakes Bunker 2 23 and Frig 23 and makes it to the top 20 by the end of the year.
15. Eise doesn't pr. Still has Runway 23.
16. Jimbo leaves AGDQ early due to jealousy issues with Rachel and not receiving enough attention, leaving Goose to commentate the race alone. Shits out a battery 2 weeks later with no recollection of having eaten one.
17. Clemens has trev spin on the stair railing on a 21:3x pace run to Cradle and screams so loud that police are called to investigate. Properly retires from Speedrunning and becomes a Masterchef instead.
18. QuiZno gets his first WR and has the best reaction vid of all time.
19. None of Axel Z's irrelevant predictions come true.
20. JustinDT hits a brick wall in Goldeneye, blames it on his controller. Dupes 15 more 16 Star 17:00s before disappearing forever.

Ryan Lockwood and Ryan White cause a huge controversy at AGDQ2015 when they are kicked out of a strip club but still return to the hotel with two of the strippers.  The event is caught on film by numerous people and becomes the "Stiv and Tolki" of this GDQ.  The incident is referred to only as "The Shifty Lockjaw Episode" and unwillingness of anyone to talk about it on Twitch after the event causes the online world to never get a clear picture of exactly what happened that night.  A subreddit, r/ShiftyLockjaw is created where user "HaberdasherA" writes about various conspiracies and alternate theories, trying to piece together everything that took place.

FarmVille has a renaissance, being the #1 most streamed game on Twitch during autumn 2015.  The-Elite forms an extremely formidable team lead by ShadowZero, who becomes an unwilling Twitch partner.  His connections in WoW cause him to surpass even Axel Z in online fame and ends up making videos on Youtube full time.  He has at least one collaboration with PewDiePie who calls Jim "a cool guy."

Shawn Johnson is almost inadvertently sent off to Syria on a mission to assassinate President Bashar al-Assad when he is temporarily confused for Navy Seal Team 6 member "Shawn Johnsen."

Without consent or action from the-elite, Marc's timespages and posts disappear overnight from the forum and rankings.

Clemens' flight to Indonesia is overbooked so he has to wait in the airport overnight.  The flight he was supposed to take ends up disappearing in the southern Indian Ocean with over 200 casualties.  They never find the missing flight, but do stumble upon MH370 during the search.  Although shaken by the incident, Clemens is fine.  However, a diamond ring he purchased to propose to his girlfriend was in the luggage which went on the original flight, so Clemens tragically doesn't end up getting engaged to Jessica next year.

-Cosmo picks up either Twilight Princess or Link to the Past and gets the WR for whichever one.

-I fall to 130th or worse on the GE ranks.

-I get a girlfriend (need to for Goose's pred).

-Lockwood becomes a top-tier Overwatch player, basically forgetting about GE.

-Someone cuts Karl's triathlon time by several minutes, showing off impressive simultaneous play with hands and feet. Ideas for other triathlons are experimented with a bit by random people.
