I was able to send the payment  :)
I will drive down sometime Wednesday night June 8th and stay through Saturday June 11th. I can take people to the airport on Saturday if anyone needs one. I will bring the pal tv and console if anyone wants to use it. And I will bring nesquick if I get the everdrive in time. I ordered it last week so I hope I'll get it soon but then I'll need Wodahs to send it to me. I'll probably bring an extra crt or 2 if needed. Let me know if I can bring anything else like the input device but it seems like you all have everything covered.  :)

I'm in. I just booked my flight. I will arrive at DCA at 8:30 PM Thursday evening. That should put me at the house around 11 PM (about the same as last year - maybe slightly earlier). I will most likely be renting a car unless some brave soul wants to come pick me up. I haven't booked a return flight yet, will post an update when I do.

Sure if it's easy to include me considering I'm arriving later in the week. Also I own it but haven't played it yet. I did play the game once with a friend for a few hours back when it came out so I'm sure I will come in last.  I have no strong feelings one way or the other if I'm in it or not.

I'm 100% in and paid up now - arriving Wednesday night.  I'm okay with no GE tourney if there's really not going to be much interest, but we will definitely have to play a fair amount of multiplayer as I may have some things to show off..  #WollStats #InterestingToAround5People

volunteering to run/organize a smash tournament or two.

first question: interest in 12 character battles or something like that in addition to a standard tournament

second: if there is interest in both, could we use a tournament involving multiple characters starting monday to determine seeds for a standard tournament starting shortly before/after woll arrives?

i was thinking that these tournaments would be more casual than the kart one, with matches to be played whenever, not a big deal if someone drops out...as long as the game that many of us love to play is being played in an organized competitive fashion.

edit: also doubles, not sure how much time this is going to take up but last year smash was being played until like 4 AM on a given night so i think we could easily have this on the side of the main kart/GE(?) tournaments.

I don't know where you got that idea, I haven't spoken to you about this at all and I haven't told anyone else that I was looking for a ride from you. In fact, I have specifically stated the opposite more than once.

Sorry, Dan, but I am not looking for a ride from you right now. I still plan to drive but I am scoping out some detours on the way.

Don't trust people telling you things about my intentions or beliefs, it seems to be a constant theme lately for others to invent them.  If I was looking for a ride I would post publicly in this topic so that everyone could see it.

If my plans changed and I suddenly needed a ride, I know you would try your best to step up (Everyone: Dan is AWESOME!!).  I would post here and also contact you directly.  Just don't trust anyone else making up my plans.

No problem Thingy, thanks for setting things straight! I figured you would have reached out to me by now but if those were your plans I wanted you to know that you are always welcome!

I read another thread where people were expressing your (incorrect) opinion for you. That sucks man. High School...All... over... again...

I will be in DC on Monday afternoon without a car.  Will try to negotiate a ride but if things aren't looking likely, I can just rent a car or something.

Frankie that will be no problem at all, just bring $40 or so and you can give it to the Weathertons at the end of the week to cover the meal costs for Michelle and yourself.

I pretty much got it solved all the way to Fredericksburg.

There is a way from there but it is pretty expensive. It would be great if someone can get me there.

Zoran: I have used the MARC and Amtrak service to/from BWI/DC more than once without issue, I don't know if that was the plan you were trying, but I will say that the MARC train was super cheap -- not sure if it runs that late at night though.

Those can both get you to Union Station in DC, and the Amtrak can probably take you to Fredericksburg, which is about as close to the lake house as you could get with mass transportation. There might be a better option though.

According to the RSVP list, Trent is flying in to DC pretty late on Monday. Your best bet might be to coordinate with him because your time slots should more or less line up by the time you get from the airport to DC, by whatever means. If you need help contacting him, I think some people here know how to get in touch directly. Whether he is getting a ride or renting a car, I am unsure, but anyone flying in to Dulles is most likely leaving the airport by car.

There are shuttle services from BWI to IAD but I am unfamiliar with cost/timeframe on these options. If you don't really care what it costs, this might be the simplest solution to get you linked up with another person who is going to the same place you are.

However, a lot of the guys who come to this event try to keep the total cost low, if you fall into that category.....To get to IAD from Union Station for cheap takes some effort, no direct rail link. Maybe some kind of meet in the middle location could be most effective, like you could take the metro to Tysons Corner station, which would be a convenient (I think) pickup spot for someone coming in a car from Dulles toward I-95.

Will you have a phone or internet connection to stay in touch in case you have any travel mishaps or delays? Posting directly to this topic is a pretty safe bet if you are ever totally lost with no direct contacts. If you find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere, someone will come get you as long as we know where you are ;)

Thanks, Ngamer.

What did you all decide about shortcuts?  I've been watching Jones' shortcut videos lately and Zoran is obviously a beast.  If they are allowed I need to seriously step up my shortcut game and fast.

Trent will be renting a car from IAD on Monday. Originally, I was going to rent a car but Trent offered to come pick me up on Thursday and take me back to IAD on Saturday in order to save/split costs on the rental/gas. Zoran, I would reach out to Trent via email: trent.hovis @ gmail.com. It looks like your timing on will probably work with Trent if you can get down to the DC area Monday evening after arriving in Baltimore. Splitting the costs of the rental car with me/Trent will surely be cheaper than trying to make your own way from DC to the house and back.

All about the Raven Taxi Service.

Alright guys. As always I fully offer to make trips to and from DC/Fredricksburg/Richmond to the Lake House.
Donations are always welcome but not required. I can seat a bunch and the N64 will be hooked up and available to play.
At this moment I can't guarantee rides back after the meet, but we have all week to arrange that.

If you have not found a solution to the Lake House yet, now would be the time to start planning.
Let me know if you need my help and hopefully I can pick up groups of people at a time.

I need to know when and where you're coming in.

P.S. ATTN: BOSS - When are you coming over to my place? I like to leave to VA on Saturdays but it isn't necessary. Let me know.

Does anyone have a good logo for the MK64 site that I can use for the stream layout? Been using this the past couple years, but I'm wondering if there's something better I can use:

Something with a transparent background would be ideal.

Okay here's what I have down in terms of people bringing

poker chips   QB
new werewolf versions   Thingy
Smash games   Jimbo
official golden N64   Jimbo
official Ng webcam   Jimbo
Wii U w/ Kart DLC   Dennison
4 Wii U Pro pads   Dennison
extra 360 pads   Nate
laptop for N64 emu   Weatherton
laptop for streaming   DK
2 gaming laptops   Nate
New Nightmare   delivered
more n64s/etc   everyone

Here's what I'm bringing

pink box:
clipboard
scrimmage jerseys
speakers
power cords
HDMI cables
Game of Thrones
TLC controller
MK64 track cards
360 controller x 3
360 wifi adapt
3DS

loose:
ipass
Jim's Garmin
flat panel monitor
HTC Vive
gaming rig
laptop1
laptop2
phone
pillow & blanket

Here's what we brought last year that I'm thinking we don't need for 2016...

extra 360 wifi adapt   Nate
Surface Pro   Infil
extra fightstick   Infil
ONE pad   Infil
GC stuff for Smash   Jimbo
fight stick   Ng
projector   Ng
tablet   Ng
8 Wii controllers   Jim + Denny
extra Wii U   Nate
4 more Wii controllers   Nate

Look good to everyone?  My few questions are

- Dennison, can you bring your Wii U with Kart and Smash and 4 pro controllers again?
- if we have that upstairs on a good TV I'm thinking we should be good and won't need a second Wii U elsewhere in the house
-  without Infil and Third I don't see much need for fighting games or Rock Band so we'll skip the 360, fight sticks, ONE controllers, tablets
- we'll have virtual reality + gaming laptops and many wireless Xbox controllers in the sun room so we can do Rocket League and other couch co-op/party games from steam
- we'll have normal N64 + emulated N64 on the projector downstairs and also an emulated N64 + normal N64 upstairs for practice rounds and fun lagless play

As for anyone not mentioned above who's wondering what else to bring, especially first timers, I would recommend

* your own N64 controller, if you have a good one
* an N64 or other systems if have multi games you want to get groups together for
* your MK64 cart or GE/PD/anything else multi you'd like people to try
* toothbrush, maybe a little money if you want to play poker
* pack a swimsuit and beach towel so you don't miss out on lake fun
* it's often 90 outside but pretty cool inside with the AC cranked up so you might want a hoodie and sweats along with your shorts and short sleeved tees

lol'd at "8 Wii controllers"

great post, thanks for the update. Pretty pumped to get away for a bit and meet a bunch more people. I'll bring my N64 with a few obvious titles. I'll also bring my Hori pad for people to troll around with if they so choose.  :kappa:
If anyone still brings a 360 I could offer a friendly slap to the face if I bring a couple Call of Duty titles.  :v

I've heard there is a small home gym area. Would I be allowed to utilize it at all?

There's a treadmill and weight bench in the basement that I'm sure the Ws would be fine with you using.  Most people who want to exercise at the meet swim between the two docks and walk or run on some trails around the lake, plus of course lots of volleyball.

I only have one gaming laptop that plays 4P RL good. I can bring it fine. You might want to rely on someone else to bring a good 2nd gaming 'top (my 2nd last year lagged a fair bit in multi). I can bring some Wii U games, so if Denny or Jimbo can bring their Wii U's that'd be swell. Would love to play some kart 8 and smash with some people

I should have ample space to pack stuff this year. I can bring the Wii U if Dennison brings his 4 pro controllers (I'll bring Kart 8 and Smash then). I claim the basement with the gold N64 as always :D We may need extra gamesharks this year?

Whaaaa, Dan I had no idea you were a Hearthstone fanatic.  That's super cool, let's team up and do some arena runs along with QB next week.

I don't think I should drive up there the day before we take off. I recently got my old hunk of a car repaired and won't have my own phone to bring for the trip. I don't like the idea of going anywhere alone without easy access to a phone. I can pay for the distance you need to travel to pick me up/drop me off if that's any incentive (~50miles away from your place). I think I'm closer to VA. :) PM me your phone # so we can plan stuff out since it's getting kinda close now.

Yessir. Typically finish rank 3-5. Never really tried for Legend because of time constraints. I only play a couple times a month. Going from Rank 13 to rank 6 5-star (Gah!) in a couple hours last night was fun.

Damn Loyan Totem Shaman, and Zoo Lock

I can pick you up Boss. I am thinking more and more just leaving Sunday and grabbing Dennison / crashing there for the night and heading out Monday from Michigan. I'm open to anything really.

Ya, don't  be like Jimbo and let him sleep through the start of a kart round.

Might get the ique in time too! Not sure if anyone wants to use it though. It will have Mario Kart, super Mario 64, the legend of Zelda, and wave race.
