For anyone who's arrived to the Elite relatively recently, the Elite Summer Contest was an annual popularity contest/bracket run primarily by Ngamer from 2003 to 2013. It would literally be a case of the top 64 Eliters would be represented in a bracket seeded 1 to 16, divided into 4 quadrants like the NCAA bracket, and you'd cast a vote based on who you liked better or whom you think deserved your vote more. Since 2009 or so, Ngamer's had an automated program to take votes and you'd be able to leave comments underneath, qualifying you for vote of the day.
The 2013 contest was a runaway with very dwindling interest. 3 years have passed and a lot of new blood has found their way within the Elite, many of whom have met each other in real life. This topic is to gauge whether or not a 2016 Contest would consistently generate enough votes/interest to do the grunt work and set it all up again. It really was fun, it still could be, but it also caused a lot of drama if guys lost close matches or felt someone cast a vote a different direction then they should have.
A 2016 contest's bracket would be created based on YOUR nominations. You'd nominate 10 people, send your list to me/any admin, the votes would get tallied and poof, a bracket was made! Past champions (mostly) have always been, and will always be disallowed from any future contests.
