The Summer Contest 2016 is underway! As Jimbo doesn't want to host and a few eliters in discord have asked me and I have no life, I will be taking over host of the SC2016! Submit your top 10 eliter nominations to Austin via pm on the forums or discord by July 1st at 12 PM EST.

Match 1: DT vs AZ

DT will win this one by a nice, healthy margin. AZ's dickriding of Marc will cause him to lose a few votes. DT's also been active on Discord, more skilled with both games and has attended a more rel meet, AGDQ. AZ's still a decent fellow and I appreciate all his contributions to the Elite especially with proof but this seems like an easy win for DT. I'm predicting he gets about 60-70% of the votes.

Match 2: Eric vs Redscreens

Eric's been around for way longer and despite his inactivity and retirement from the games, he's still very popular among the WhatsApp boys. He'll win this one by a solid margin as well.

Match 3: Eise vs wiff

Speaking of wiff, mate if you're reading this congrats on getting married! Unfortunately though, I don't think most of the new Eliters know him well so Eise will most likely win this one.

Match 4: DK vs Koch

Pretty funny how DK almost won the last SC and now he's in a play-in. Really shows how different the SC will be with the majority of the voters being new school for the first time ever. It's hard for me to predict this one since neither have been that active the past year and I'm not sure how many VA voters will participate in the tourney, so I'm just going to randomly make an educated guess with Koch.

Match 5: twii vs Matt Cook

If you were around back in the day you'd probably vote for Matt Cook cause he was super rel. Made tons of good timesavers, was generally a friendly guy. He's just moved on with life now I think but he does pay attention to new WRs, comments on records and contributes! What an amazing guy! Obviously I'm very biased with this vote and I think twii is a good fellow, and most of the new school will vote for him since they know who he is, but I'm miraculously hoping Matt makes it far!

Match 6: Flicker vs Glover

Troll match

Glover makes a lot of healthy, witty memes but I think Flicker will snipe this one.

Match 7: Spec vs Ragequit

I know this isn't the post you were expecting to see but I just wanted to apologize about the abysmal Summer Contest I ran and the overall inconsistency with posting polls and sharing votd's. I want to apologize for not dedicating more time to this contest and just know that I am deeply sorry for ruining a great Elite tradition. As for next Summer Contest, I may pass control of it on to someone else due to the shitty nature of my management in time in this contest. Once again I am sorry for ruining this for everyone and I hope the end goes on without a hitch
