Will these wear down like the originals?

Maybe, but I think the designer intends to use stronger plastics don't quote me on that. I mean if not and they wear down similarly to originals at least you can actually buy more parts that are new, I just hope they are good spec and last a few months.

On the kickstarter page ill summarize what I know.

There are many plastics he could use, he intends to research what low friction high durbility plastics he can use, and is prototyping with one that was more flexible and one that was harder and durable.

I think he is going to ensure that the design is good before settling on the final material because it seems like the stick sensitivity wasn't perfect in that latest video he had on his page, but I am speculating. I wouldn't be surprised if what we get is something that works well as designed but isn't the highest quality material at this point, but I think the designer intends to make a high quality product.

I think this tweet illustrates what the preorder quality might be like

Have anyone ordered one of these Enkko sticks?

I've bought a bunch of generic replacement joysticks (http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/251506836088-0-0/s-l140/p.jpg) last year and a few days ago I tried to do some PD speedrunning with them but the stick is heavier than the original and it's quite hard to do some proper strafing/aiming. The sensibility looks ok though, so maybe it's a matter of time to get used to it. Luckily I've found an old controller with a decent stick that I got from a friend some years ago and felt the difference, the original one is waaay lighter

Here's from Guilherme (ghus dark) fixing a loose stick using plastic parts from other sticks (I'm pretty sure some of you guys have seen this). The stick won't be brand new but that's even better because it gets perfect for speedrunning (not loose and not tight). I've tried to convince him to fix some old controllers of mine last time we met but he didn't want to :( It's a pretty good alternative though.
