I use "crimpy" as a positive thing. named after the famous Australian snack chicken crimpy.
"crimped" on the other hand is when something is physically manipulated on a crimping machine, or other various methods of changing somethings physcial shape. So when I say I'm crimped it usually means I feel like my brain has been sucked out of my skull, put through a washing machine, been thrown out on the sidewalk onto a rubbish bin sweltering in 49C heat and growing a layer of banana peal / bubble gum mould, launched into the sun, engulfed by a supernova and sucked into a black hole.
